what is your favourite shakespeare play? i actually have two: my favourite comedy is a midsummer night's dream, and my favourite tragedy is definately king lear. most people don't think too often about king lear, but i think it's the best one! so poignant and heart-breaking. i feel more sympathy with the characters in that play.

I've only read two of Shakespears plays: Julius Caesar and Hamlet. They weren't bad though I'd never have read them voluntarily. I wrote a long critical essay on Julius Caesar for a school assignment.

I like Romeo and Juliet.
I know, it's probably what everyone voted for, but I didn't just vote for it because it was one of the most widely known and heard of, but because of it's ending...

I've only read "Macbeth" and "Romeo and Juilet" and I honestly really liked both of them. I basically hated listening to them, studying them in class - but seeing them performed was great!

I really liked Julius Caeser! An interesting play. I read Brutus in class.

I really liked Julius Caesar too. I also also enjoyed Much Ado about Nothing as I liked the humour in it and the fact that it had a happy ending - all of the other plays I've studied have been tragdies

I like Midsummer's Night Dream, but I also like Macbeth. I am going to read The Taming of the Shrew eventually...

So did mine, in a enrichment class we acted out "modern versions" of either Midsummer's Night Dream or Romeo and Juilet I wanted to act out Midsummers Night Dream but the class wanted to play Romeo and Juilet. But it was still fun

Hello . I liked Much Ado About Nothing. It was funny, suspenseful, and everyone got just what they deserved. I also liked Hamlet ~ very intense. Romeo and Juliet was good, but very sad. I wanted Romeo and Juliet to be together, not end so tragically as it did. Well, that's it.

Much Ado About Nothing! Other than that I'm not a Shakespeare fan. I wouldn't read his plays voluntarily. Last year we did Romeo & Juliet in english, but honestly I didn't listen to it any of it and just sort of winged my homework - including an essay. Our teacher marked really easy and I just wrote a bunch of stuff worthy of Captain Obvious.
This year I'm doing Julius Caesar and it's a whole other story. I actually have to listen -gasp- and write thought-provoking stuff

I liked Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, and A Midsummer Nights Dream. I thought Macbeth was okay, wasn't too crazy about it. Julius Caesar... I think I would have liked it, but I hated my teacher that year, so...

hmm, not many people voted for macbeth...no one did actually. i admit it's not one of my favourites, it's kind of dark and grim, but that's sort of the appeal of it to me.
