I've now read the whole thing. Really good! You know the characters very well, and all the details add up to make it sound exactly like a small-town. You used good diction and it was a really enjoyable read! Good work!

I read the whole thing. It's really good! Good use of similies, metaphors, good diction, you knew the characters well and it was exactly how you would imagine a small town.

Thanks, Miluiel! I've grown up in a small town, so I guess I can write one pretty well, eh? But if you don't mind my asking, what small details? I'm so used to everything because I live in a small town, so I have no idea what you're talking about. =]
I'm starting to get really attatched to my characters. Particularly one who hasn't yet made his appearance. =]
Btw, Miluiel, do you have a nickname? Raina gave me another the other day, you know... She calls me Marcy now, lol!

Such as everyone knowing everything about everyone else, being hired by association, things like that.
I go by Mil, Milly, whatever you like XD. I'm not particular. A lot of people have problems spelling Miluiel, so they just use Mil or Milly

Oh. I never thought about it like that. xD I guess that's what I get for living in it, hm?
And believe me. EVERYONE knows EVERYTHING. These things happen when your great grand parents were in preschool together. O.O
A hard time spelling Miluiel? No! Of couse, my spelling method is to stare at it until I memorize it, so I guess I don't get an opinion. Milly will do nicely, though. =]

Yes, Eyalan in particular had trouble spelling it. XD
Your grandparents? Wow. I'm only a second-generation Canadian, so my great grandparents were most deffinitely not schooled together, XD.

No, Milly, I mean my great grand parents and almost all my classmate's great grand parents were in school together. It goes WAY back. =]
My family's been in this general area of my state since before it entered the union. You know, back when it was a territory and full of Indians, who're also my relatives. There's a few... colorful... stories about my relatives I'd be happy to share with you via PM simply because they're entertaining, but I can't necessarily repeat here. =]
*looks arounds* I'm being good, Modsies dearests, I swear!

Yes, I know. My great grandparents are from all over XD. And sure, you can PM me any time. That would be a better place to talk about this sort of thing. I'll also give you a bit of my story to look over. I don't feel comfortable posting it. I've been working on it for so long that it's like a kid that I am very overprotective with XD.

Eruraina Aniarure wrote: My cousin has only seen the first few paragraphs of the Prologue. And the only others to read it would be anyone who has cared to read it on here. So, no one has read the revised version past part 1 of chapter 1.
And I'll add part 2 as soon as I get more comments on it: <a href="http://www.arwen-undomiel.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16588">Elementals</a>

*Squeals* I've read it and commented. It's very good! Might there be another brownie hanging around, perhaps?

I was going to say something else... but I forgot what it was... lol!

Ok, I've been working on my story. Same story I've been working on for months. And believe it or not, I need a setting. I'm debating between an alternate universe with steampunk like technology and modern world city. Any suggestions?
