Katrina nodded. "How old is he, I mean, compared to you." She smiled a bit. "Is he free?" She asked with humor in her voice.

Beth shrugged slightly. "He is about 5 years older than me." Beth replied. She, of course, was 25 years old. Mick looked 30 years old, but her was really 78, she wasn't going to tell that to a stranger after all. So, technically, 5 years was right. She paused at Katrina's last comment. "If you mean, does he have a girl-friend? Then no." Beth replied, trying not to show her sadness. She did like Mick, more than friends.

Katrina smiled sadly. "Ok, I asked, because," Before Katina could say anything she said. "I had some hopes. I knew a Mick long ago, of course I was younger, If it was the same guy, he would be much older now." She said as she looked out the window, her hand sub conciously going to her ring finger where an engagement ring could have been.

Beth saw what Katrina's hand had done. She raised and eyebrow, but said nothing more as she pulled into the hospital area. Just as she did so, her phone rang. "Hello, this is Beth." She stated. It was Mick.

"Beth, were are you? Usually when you say you will be right over, you are. Is something wrong?" He asked her. The truth was, he felt like Beth's guardian. As if it was his job to protect her. Since Coraline.

Beth sighed. "Mick, it's ok. I am with a girl who injured her ankle. Apparently she used to know you. Her name is Katrina." Beth replied.

Mick's eyes got wider, and he let out a small gasp. "See you soon." He said as he shut the phone, still in shock. Katrina, the memories came flooding back.

Beth shook her head, and opened the car doors. Walking over to katrina's side to help her get out.

Katrina had been in her thoughts she hadn't heard what Beth had said. But when Beth came to her side of the car she snpeed back to the present. "Thanks." She said limping painfully ot of the car.

Beth nodded and shut the car door, then helped her into the hospital. At the front desk, Beth spoke. "This woman here, has injured her ankle, and needs immediate care." Beth stated. the person at the desk looked at Katrina and nodded slowly. "What is her name?" Beth looked at Katrina, only then realizing that she did not know the females name.

Kathrina looked up. "Katrina Daniels." She told them, and looked at Beth. "You should go, Mick will be waiting."

Beth nodded slowly, and said good bye. She turned to walk out of the builidng, to find Mick leaning against the door way. "Mick! What are you doing here?" She said in surprise, her voice surprisingly loud. Everyone in the hospital must have heard her.

Mick held up a hand, telling her she had said that a little to loudly. "Take a deep breath Beth. At least this time we didn't see each other in a mausoleum." He said with a small chuckle.

Katrina sighed as the wheeled her to an examining room. "Mick, to bad your not my Mick." She said out loud once she was left alone.

Mick was Katrina wheeled away. He was left in shock for a bit, then he cleared his mind and faced Beth. "So, ready to go?" He asked her. Beth nodded, and together they walked towards their cars and each drove their own car, back to Mick's place.
Once they had parked and walked inside, and Mick was sitting behind his desk, they spoke. "So, what did you want to speak to me about?" He asked her.

Katrina looked up as the doctor came in, she answered the usaul questions as he tested her ankle and when she wenced he stope. ten minutes later she was given cruches and had her ankle wrapped in a tenser bandage. Once done Katrina swore to herself, she couldn't drive or even get to her car. Suddenly she had an idea, getting a phone book she looked up Mick the PI and called, hoping Beth was there.

Mick heard the phone ring. He answered the phone. "Hello?" He asked, curious as to who it was.

Beth waited patiently until Mick was done talking on the phone.

Katrina swallowed, god, it was his voice. "Yes, um, I'm Katrina, Your friend Beth drove me to the hospital, and I realised I have no way to get back to my car, let alone drive. Plus I don't have a perminant home as of yet." 'Great, just great, rambling on and one because I am nervous.' Katrina though but smile as she remember all the times her Mick said it was cute. "What I am saying is, I need a ride."

Mick let out a sigh, and looked at Beth. She shrugged, because she did not know who was on the phone. "I will come pick you up." He stated. Mick then hung up the phone, and turned to Beth. "I am picking up your friend Katrina. I will be back soon." He stated as he strode out of his house, and out the door. He got into his car and began to drive, soon arriving at the hospital.

Katrina wheeled out to the doors and felt her heart start beating fast as soon as the car drove up and inside she saw Mick, her Mick, a few years older, but that was it. He was the same guy.

Mick saw Katrina, and pushed his thoughts about her back inside his head. She looked exactly the same. One word ran through his head. Vampire. He stepped out of the car and strode over to her, pushing his dark black sunglasses up to cover his eyes. He nodded to her. "Katrina. I am Mick St. John, here to pick you up as you phoned." He stated as he looked at her.
