Okay, I’ll give a basic idea for the plot and then I’ll flesh it out if I get enough intrest. I’m not going to flesh it out a lot right now because if there isn’t enough intrest, I don’t what to have planed the whole thing for nothing.

Okay the title of thes RP is The All Systems Commonwealth for my lack of being able to think of a better name. This Rp is set in the Andromeda TV series universe. It takes place before the Long Night (fall of the Commonwealth), right after the Commonwealth signed the Treaty of Antares the Magog so they (the Magog) would stop their attacks on the Commonwealth. I’ll get into whom the Nietzscheans and Magog are farther down.

The Nietzscheans, mad because of the Treaty which they see as the ultimate betrayal, begin their rebellion (or Tatical Offensive in their words) by using a black hole to send destress signals to High Guard (Commonwealth military) ships and pick them off one by one. This RP will start just before Dylan Hunt, Captian of the Andromeda Ascendant (a High Guard Glorious Heritage class heavy destroyer) reveales what the Nietzscheans are doing. A sizable minority still remain loyal to the Commonwealth, but they are still the minority.

When this RP starts, we are all new officers/enlisted personal on the Crimson Sunrise, a new Commonwealth Glorious Heritage class Heavy Destroyer. I’ll list the positions I would like to fill farther down at the bottom of this post. Our mission is to find where the Nietzscheans' multiple ship-yards and destroy them. (But believe me, it'll get more complex later on (At least it should. Unless it doesn't get off the ground. Then it won't be anything))

This is a bunch of detialed info I got from wikipedia, so you don’t need to read this.

The Sunrise, like any other ship, runs on hydrogen and anti-protons, or AP.The hydrogen combines with the AP in controlled reactions to create antimatter/matter reactions, or matter/antimatter reactions; either way it makes no matter, but what it does make is power - for the ship - a few hundred megawatts. Most of the power is used to power the Gravity Field Generator, which reduces the effective mass to just under a kilogram. A smaller chunk of power is used to accelerate more hydrogen in a dozen magnetoplasmadynamic drives, which impart a thrust - a thrust of a half million newtons or so. The Sunrise further uses Slipstream drive to travel faster-than-light.

The Crimson Sunrise carries a large variety of sensors: a PAS-37Q System Search Sensor (Phased Array), which is an active EM Search system that uses phased arrays of small sensor transceivers to create shapable swaths across any portion of space; a HSS-114D Hyper Spectral Scanner (EO), which is a hyper spectral scanner that measures target reflections across a continuous spectrum. Suspected camouflaged or obscured targets can be tested with an active EM sensor to improve accuracy in high threat environments; an AIS-117M Advanced Imaging Sensor (Synthetic Aperture/Moving Target Indicator), which is a combined package that can detect fixed and module targets, as well as fuse sensor that tracks a complete picture of the area of interest. The SA suite is also capable of inter ferimetricimage analysis, which allows the AI node to build a three dimensional representation of visible surfaces to a one nanometer resolution at 24 light seconds; an AIS-117I Advanced Imaging Sensor (Inverse Synthetic Aperture), which is an ISA system that is capable of long range detections of relatively stationary targets in high noise environments; and an ES/A-9R Electronic Support and Attack Measure Suite, which is a suite which detects active sensor and communications emissions from hostile assets, including ships and missiles. The EA component of the package can be used to jam both types of signals, and in some cases to overload the hostile transceiver and destroy it.

The Sunrise is 1301m in length, 325m in height, and has an inertial mass of 96,408,876kg. Its beam is 976m.

The Sunrise’s armament comprises of: 40 missile launchers, firing 8 rounds per second; 20 megatons of ‘direct hit firepower.’ She carries 6 types of missles and 1 type of bomb to provide sturdy tatical support in dynamic situations. They are: OM-5 Standard Offensive Kinetic Kill Missiles, DM-5 Standard Defensive Kinetic Kill Missiles, PM-6 Star Arrow Smart Anti-Ship Missiles (ASM), PM-6L Strategic Star Arrow Smart ASM Extended Range Variant, PM-6LII Strategic Star Arrow multiple Independent Kill Vehicle (MIKV) Variant, SAPM-6III Strike Arrow Surface Attack Variant, and Nova Bombs. The Crimson Sunrise is also equipped with 12 point defense lasers (PDLs) that are positioned over the ship to shoot down enemy missiles at close range, 12 AP cannons, 6 radiating countermeasuer generators, and 1 AI command and control entity.

The Sunrise’s artificial personal comprise of: Multipurpose Shipyard Robots (wheeled robotic units used for basic duties such as delivery and maintenance), General Utility Androids (human sized robots, they perform a wide variety of maintenance tasks including advising and helping crew members in the performance of their duties, as well as acting as guards. They are seen standing two per door holding force lances guarding the Captain's office), and Planetfall Defense (OEBots). The Sunrise carries two OEBots equipped with an array of large gauss guns. They are used only in the event of a full-scale pitched battle and can be deployed on land or in space, on the hull of capital ships. They can fire on large groups of people or focus shots on just one. They can also shoot down ships the size of fighters or as big as a cargo ship. The Sunrise’s OEBots arm-mounted weapon modules can contain 1-3 groups of gattling guns as well as shoulder-mounted missile tubes.

A Slipfighter
The Sunrise carries slipfighters, which are small, agile fighter-craft that are capable of slipstream travel. They are usually equipped with PDL's or AP cannons and Electromagnetic Launch System (ELS) missile tubes for accelerating offensive and defensive loads into space. The ship can be piloted either physically from the cockpit or remotely from the Flight Operations Center aboard the Andromeda. The primary mission of the slipfighter is to provide combat patrol support for Heavy Cruiser and Atmospheric Attack Craft Carriers. It also flies tactical escort for strike fighters and conducts Suppression of Enemy Defense (SED) operations during interplanetary combat. A typical Glorious Heritage-class heavy cruiser (such as the Crimson Sunrise) carries the following slipfighter craft load: 76 RA-26 Shrike strike fighters, RF-42 Centaur tactical fighters, and AF/A-29 Phoenix atmospheric attack craft.

The Crimson Sunrise also carries a few AM9D Ung Tae drop ships, which is a combination armoured personnel carrier, hover-tank and skiff. These ships are used to transport troops to the ground, each ship is capable of carrying a platoon of Lancers and basic combat gear, plus provisions for short-term accommodations as shelter. The ship is protected with multiple layers of ablative and reactive armor and is equipped with a single direct fire AP gun turret and a deployable 150mm mass-driver cannon for indirect fire support at 1200 rounds per minute. The ship is not slipstream capable. It can only travel the distance from orbit in space to the planets surface and back. It is not capable of traveling around a solar system and is not used as a shuttle craft. The Sunrise also carries the following attack drones: 16 ES-115 Oracle heavy sensor/attack drones and 8 ES-14 Janus light sensor/attack drones. Sensor/attack drones are autonomous in nature and there are several different types of Sensor/Attack drones available. These drones carry sensor packages to extend the range of the cruise, as well as being able to crash at high speeds into enemy craft as an attack mechanism.

The Crimson Sunrise’s personal complement comprises of 4,132 plus a Lancer Regiment. The ratio of officer to enlisted is 1/11.

This in info on all of the weapons.

The anti-proton cannons are energy based weapons which fire at just under the speed of light (99 Percentage of the Speed of Light (PSL)), the anti-protons that hit the mass destroy it on impact. A anti-proton cannon is not effective past 4 light seconds. Point defense lasers (PDLs) are tasked with neutralizing and suppressing incoming enemy ordinance (such as missiles, drones et cetera) and/or enemy fighters. On their own they can inflict a fair amount of damage on enemy ships PDLs fire in the 30 to 50 megawatt range. Smart missiles rely on ship sensors and their own onboard sensors to track their targets. Smart missiles can reach speeds of up to 90 PSL. They are designed to be fired in a range of 1 AU or less, however variants exist that can reach up to 3 AU. Once fired a smart missile can be "called home" or disarmed during flight. Smart bullets are tiny bullets with sensors which they use to home in on their target. They are generally fired in swarms. A point singularity projector fires mini-black holes at its target, the Magog generally use these weapons on their Swarm ships and the World ship. These weapons inflict heavy damage and can destroy a ship very quickly. The Nova Bomb is a weapon with the power to destroy a solar system. It utilizes a powerful element called Voltarium. It is then fired into the core of a star where it reverses the gravity in an area larger than that of the star. The internal pressure of the star then creates a nova, destroying everything in the star's vicinity. On a smaller scale, it can destroy a planet.

These are the personal weaopns avaliable to people. The most common type of personal handgun is a gauss gun, which accelerates a smart bullet at supersonic speeds using electromagnetic forces. There are two types of this gun: a hand gun sidearm, used by criminals and recon mission people, and the rifle style, used by ground troops. Pistols are commonly seen being used by nearly everyone except the High Guard.

Image
A 'Lance
The Force Lance generally looks like a harmless metal rod approximately 1/3 of a meter in length which fires plasma shots, but can extended to almost 2 meters and be used as melee weapon. The ‘Lance is keyed to its handlers DNA and can also be reprogrammed, a person will be electrically shocked when trying to use another's programmed Lance. It can also be used as a taser. The Force Lance can launch a number of self-guided tiny attack drones (called “effectors”) that both target opponents and intercept incoming bullets and missiles. It has a grappling hook function, placed in as a stationary position to be set on auto fire, & finally it can be used as a plasma grenade by setting it to over-load. This is the only weapon used by the High Guard and is the destinctive weapon that the Lancer Corp gets their name from.

This in info on the Nietzscheans (some is unimporant and if I get enough intrest, I’ll cull it down to what you need to know):

Physiology

Nietzscheans are a species of Homo Sapiens that has been modified at the genetic level. In addition to being five times stronger and two times faster than an average human being of their size and gender, Nietzscheans are immune to most poisons (aconite, ammonia, antipyrine, arsenic, atropine, camphor, hydrocyanic acid, iodine, lead, picrotoxin, and strychnine) and diseases (diphtheria, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, influenza, lyme disease, measles, meningococcal disease, mumps, pertussis, pneumococcal disease, polio, rabies, rubella, tetanus, and varicella).

Due to their physiology they have a more varied diet, as they can consume organic substances that are inedible to normal humans.
Nietzscheans pride themselves of being able to survive in harsh, hostile environments where ordinary humans would easily die. However, Nietzschean men and women are not indestructible, and most environments that are inhospitable to Homo sapiens sapiens are also inhospitable to members of Homo Sapiens Invictus. However, they are able to breathe chlorine gas for short periods of time, although long-term exposure (longer than 30 minutes) will cause permanent harm, just as if they were a "normal" human being.

Their bone blades are a natural outgrowth, and are fully developed by mid-puberty. The bone blades can be either perpendicular to a forearm or can lay on a forearm with blade tips pointed toward the arm elbow and are controlled by a voluntary muscle on each forearm that attaches to the bone blades. The bone blades are made of a bone-like substance, and can be used as a natural weapon in personal combat when blades are perpendicular to forearm to stab an opponent. The removal of the bone blades without anesthetic can cause a Nietzschean great physical pain, but the blades will eventually grow back.

Finally, the Nietzschean lifespan is a maximum 150 years of age.

Reproductive method

To Nietzschean men and women, biological reproduction is the single most important event in their lives. They choose their mates with care, only reproducing with those who have genes that will strengthen the Pride and the Nietzschean Species as a whole.

To become married and reproduce, a Nietzschean must present his or her potential mate to the clan's (or pride's) Matriarch, who will do a genetic scan and determine if the genes of the potential mate are strong. If approved, the couple becomes married in a private ceremony, involving only the two of them. The Male and Female exchange bracers which signify that they are one. In Nietzschean Society, women have full control of their reproductive options in that they choose the men, not the other way around.

It is normal for high-status, wealthy and powerful Nietzschean men to have many wives, and to have children with each, with some families as large as one male with ten or more wives and thirty or more children.

A side effect of this ancient tradition is the remarkable phenomenon known as Genetic Reincarnation – it is possible for a Nietzschean to be born with a genetic makeup identical to that of an ancestor.

This is a more or less impossible occurrence in ordinary humans, but is not at all unheard of among Nietzscheans due to the extent of their genetic augmentations. They have removed every gene, passive and recessive, that could possibly cause a biological defect. Their gene pool, though still more than capable of perpetuating itself indefinitely, is several orders of magnitude smaller than humans. It is thus not beyond the realm of possibility for a naturally conceived Nietzschean to be genetically identical to an ancestor.

This factors into their philosophy – many Nietzscheans believe that someday, legendary Nietzschean Progenitor Drago Musevini will be reborn, reunite the various Nietzschean Prides, and lead them to total dominion over all the sentient species of the galaxies.

Society

The human philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche believed that strife and conflict would inevitably reshape men into something better and stronger than what they once were. As a superhuman species, Nietzscheans took his words to heart and used genetic engineering and nanotechnology to reshape themselves into the ultimate survivors.
Nietzscheans have built their culture on the twin pillars of social Darwinism and Dawkinite genetic competitiveness. Their single-minded devotion to self-improvement and the propagation of their own genes can strike other species (even their non-Nietzschean human cousins) as selfish and arrogant, yet in practice the Nietzscheans' boundless energy and willpower made them valued contributors to the Systems Commonwealth. For all their genetic engineering and its resulting superhuman strength and endurance, Nietzscheans are still basically human beings, with human emotions.

Naming

A Nietzschean is born into a clan (family). Numerous clans form a Nietzschean Pride. Prides consist of various clans who are somewhat genetically related to each other. They are usually named after powerful and historical figures or creatures from the ancient planet Earth.
Nietzschean males and females have long full names, which include a short genealogy. Their names include their given name, their clan name/surname, mother's name, father's name, and the Pride Affiliation. (e.g. Tyr Anasazi out of Victoria by Barbarossa Anasazi of the Kodiak Pride) If questioned about who their father's father is (in the case that there is more than one Nietzschean with that particular name) they will respond with their father's name followed by their grandfather's name. (e.g. Barbarossa son of Temujin Anasazi) Nietzscheans may also use normal, human names for their children if they so choose.

Family organization

Similar to a wolf pack, though the "pride" terminology is distinctly leonine, the organization of prides is dominated by an Alpha Male. The Alpha Male will usually listen to the advice of the other strong men in his pride, along with the stronger females. He will also listen to the advice of the pride's Matriarch.

Alpha Male: Leader of a Pride/Clan. The strongest, smartest, quickest Nietzschean Male of a Pride/Clan, or one who has learned to survive while all of his comrades have been removed.

Pride/Clan Matriarch: Strongest Female of the Pride or Clan. Not necessarily the wife of the pride/clan's Alpha Male (can be grandmother, mother, sister, cousin, or even daughter.) One of the primary duties of the Pride Matriarch is to assure that the genes of a prospective mate (either male or female) are good ones, and that those genes will benefit the pride by reproduction.

Another duty is to make sure that weak genes are removed, so that they do not contribute to the pride/clan. This is accomplished by preventing weak genes from entering the pride/clan in the first place, but it also means that the Matriarch may need to remove weak male and female members of her own pride/clan in order to assure the survival of the rest of the pride/clan.

A Nietzschean becomes an adult when he or she reaches reproductive age, which can be anywhere from 10-14 years, with an average of 11.8 years of age. When they become adults, they are expected to maintain their pride/clan's superiority, and to fight for the pride/clan when necessary. All Nietzscheans, both male and female, are brought up with these sacred teachings. In addition, females have the additional responsibility to produce strong alpha-personality Males to lead the pride/clan and keep it strong.

New Prides can be formed if a strong male and at least one strong female break off from their pride. The stronger The stronger a Nietzschean Pride is, the better a chance it has of becoming more powerful and defeating its enemy prides.

Philosophy

Nietzscheans pride themselves on their attractiveness, strength, cunning, and treachery.

When asked what he wanted, Sabra-Jaguar Pride Arch Duke Charlemagne Bolivar replied : "The usual — hundreds of grandchildren, complete dominion over the known worlds, and the pleasure of hearing that all my enemies have died in highly improbable accidents that cannot be connected to me."

However, Andromeda Ascendant's original Nietzschean First Officer Gaheris Rhade had an idealistic view, and was thoroughly disgusted with the grim reality: "Our people were meant to be living gods, warrior-poets who roamed the stars bringing civilization, not cowards and bullies who prey on the weak and kill each other for sport. I never imagined they'd prove themselves so inferior. I didn't betray our people — they betrayed themselves." (The Unconquerable Man, Episode 310)

Technology

While not as advanced as the former Systems Commonwealth technology they are a force to be reckoned with. Powerful prides have fleets of slipstream capable fighters, cruisers, and warships.

Their Armies don't possess handheld energy-based weapons, but instead use gauss guns.

History

Origin

The Nietzschean Species originated at Ayn Rand Station. In 3474, Dr. Paul Museveni, a gifted human geneticist, left the planet Earth and headed out to deep space with about 3,000 followers. Dr. Paul Museveni's views were not considered proper, and he was shut out of proper scientific society. Four months later, the Museveni Fleet arrived in the Omari Globular cluster just outside the Milky Way Galaxy. A habitable planet was found orbiting the Beta Sirrius Omega star. Museveni and his followers named the world Fountainhead, and declared it the home world of the new Nietzschean race. Ayn Rand Station was built in orbit around Fountainhead.

The station was completed in 3476. It was built by converting one of their largest ships into the station. The Political Capital was located at Ayn Rand Station. The settlements on Fountainhead continued to grow. The people willingly embraced the philosophy of Dr. Museveni, which was based on elements of Friedrich Nietzsche, Ayn Rand, Charles Darwin, and Richard Dawkins.

Drago Museveni, the genetically engineered clone/son of Dr. Paul Museveni, was born in the year 3477 (It is revealed later in the series that Paul Museveni had actually time travelled to the future disguised as an ordinary human to obtain the DNA of Beka Valentine in order to help create Nietzschean Progenitor Drago Musevini's genetic code). Drago Musevini was the First True Nietzschean born, the result of genetic modifications. He would become the revered Progenitor of the entire Nietzschean Race.

Because of his birth, the first Nietzschean Pride was formed: Pride Museveni. Progenitor Drago Musevini had a physiology all future Nietzscheans would have. Due to the modifications of his genetic codes, Drago Musevini developed superhuman strength and endurance as well as three bony spikes called "bone blades" on each forearm.
Within four years, nearly 4,000 more Nietzschean children were born. These children were the first members of Homo Sapiens Invictus, and they were the first generation of Dr. Paul Museveni's genetic manipulations.

In 3496, Paul Museveni died under mysterious circumstances, by a rare type of arsenic poisoning. His son Drago Musevini, at age 19, took the mantle of leadership of the Nietzschean people. It was suspected by some that Drago Musevini had removed his father, but it was never proven.

In 3497, the second pride in Nietzschean society, the Drago-Kazov Pride, was formed after Nietzschean Progenitor Drago Musevini broke ties with Pride Museveni and formed an alliance with the wealthy, numerous and powerful Kazov Clan. The Drago-Kazov Pride would remain a dominant power in the Nietzschean worlds for millennia to come. A year later, the Kodiak, Sabra, Maroon, Jaguar, Orca, and finally, the Three Rivers Prides were formed.

Nietzschean Progenitor Drago Museveni died of natural causes in 3530. He was revered almost as a god by the Nietzschean people. Rheged Mossadim of the powerful Three Rivers Pride was chosen as the new leader. Thirty-one years later in 3561, the Nietzscheans decided to spread out. The Nietzscheans established Zarathustra, their first colony, in 3576.
Enga's Redoubt, future homeworld of the ruling Nietzschean Drago-Kazov Pride followed near the end of the year. Midden was established in 3579 and then Dawkinstown and Victoria in 3585. Barbarossa was established a year later and Hawking the year after that. Kagame's World was established in 3594 and Cestus Mortialis in 3599. The Nietzscheans established the colony of Enkindu in the year 3608. Four years later, the newly formed Nietzschean Alliance established the Bedford Forest Colony. The last of the Nietzschean Colonies was established at Hephaistos IV in 3616.

The Nietzschean Alliance continued to govern themselves. The strongest and most able of their men were the leaders, with the Alpha Males of the most powerful Nietzschean prides competing against each other in combat to determine who the next Nietzschean Alliance Leader would be.

Alliance with Systems Commonwealth

Formal first contact with the Systems Commonwealth was made in 3618. A quick, but cautious, alliance formed; the Nietzscheans were happy to find their long-lost human cousins returned to them. They did not join the Commonwealth though, preferring to keep their independence. They became loose allies instead, sharing culture, technology, and other interests. Eventually, in 3627, the Nietzscheans formally joined the Systems Commonwealth.

With their gospel of genetically-based survivalism and self-improvement, the Nietzschean species quickly spread throughout known space, reproducing rapidly until by the 52nd century, they constituted 8 percent of the overall human population and a major military power in the entire galaxy.

Rebellion

For centuries Nietzschean males and females from various Prides lived as loyal Commonwealth citizens, obeying its institutions, serving in its military and energetically contributing to its welfare — until they decided to destroy it.

Nietzschean discontent with the Systems Commonwealth had been growing for decades, with many viewing it as a decadent and insufficiently challenging environment for a people as energetic as Homo Sapiens Invictus. But this simmering unhappiness rose to a boil after the Magog Invasion of 4840 and what many Nietzscheans regarded as an insufficiently aggressive Commonwealth response.

Long a frontier-dwelling people, many Nietzschean worlds found themselves along the front lines of Magog/Commonwealth confrontation, and suffered greatly from Magog attacks. Dawkinstown, Hawking, and Kagame's World — were only a few of the Nietzschean planets and settlements despoiled and terrorized by the terrifying race of the Magog.

Talk of Nietzschean Secession from the Commonwealth began in earnest during this period, with the leading Drago-Kazov Pride beating the drum for a full-scale insurrection. But many Nietzscheans opposed such a radical course of action — until the Treaty of Antares.

This peace treaty signed with the Magog in 4855 was viewed by the vast majority of Nietzscheans as the ultimate betrayal of the losses they had suffered and the burdens they had borne in the fight against this implacable foe. The negotiators who made peace with the Magog may not have realized it at the time, but in the course of taming one enemy, they created a far more dangerous one in its place.

With the majority of Nietzscheans now backing a full-scale assault against the Systems Commonwealth, preparation for the attack began in earnest. Nietzschean-owned shipping firms went on a ship buying and building spree, always choosing vessels which could easily be converted from harmless civilian uses into lethal military ones. Passenger liners became troop ships, cargo vessels became cruisers and destroyers, and couriers were converted into stealthy attack fighters.

Similarly, the Home Guard units on Nietzschean worlds were beefed up with new personnel and special equipment, and even in the elite High Guard Argosy and Lancer Corps, Nietzschean officers and crew made plans to betray their ships and units and turn them over to the enemy. In secret, a vast armada of 10,000 vessels was assembled in the Hephaistos System, with smaller strike groups positioned throughout Systems Commonwealth space, ready to pounce on unsuspecting High Guard bases and Commonwealth seats of power when the signal to strike was given.

At Hephaistos System, a rogue black hole allowed the Nietzschean insurrectionists to send distress signals to a large number of High Guard starships, summoning them into a trap where they could be picked off one by one. In 4858, over 200 top-of-the-line vessels were destroyed in this fashion, until the captain and crew of the heavy cruiser Andromeda Ascendant managed to draw off the fleet's fire long enough for much of the crew to escape and reach Slipstream. Their veil of secrecy about to be rended, the Nietzscheans struck, and struck hard. Their intent was to overthrow the Systems Commonwealth and replace it with a Nietzschean-dominated empire.

Here is info on the Magog (again, you don’t need to read all of it and if I get enough intrest, I’ll cull it down to esentials):

The Species:

The origins of the Magog are unknown. It is unknown if they developed naturally or as an engineered species. They eat sentient beings, and reproduce by laying their eggs in another living being. Their 'God' is known as The Spirit of The Abyss, who also may be their creator. They are superior predators: Their bodies are built for hunting and paralyzing their prey, and they are capable of surviving in extreme environments. In Season 4, Harper builds a time machine that brings evolved Magog from the future, including Rev Bem's descendants.

They are about 6 feet tall and covered in fur.

They are violent and aggressive.

They have heightened eye sight and sense of smell.

They have immense strength.

They can spray a paralytic toxin from their mouths.

They have claws on their hands.

Feeding cycle

To eat they must kill. They can't eat something that is already dead; it has to be killed by them, otherwise the digestive process does not begin. They can eat almost anything, but prefer sentient life as other foods cause them great pain, and are not above cannibalism of their own species.

Reproduction

Eating habits are closely related to their reproductive cycle. During a hunt the Magog spare a few victims to incubate their offspring. Their larvae would grow in host bodies, eating their way out at maturity. During the process, the larvae absorbs some of the host's DNA so results of this birth vary, much like Xenomorphs of the Alien movie series. They reproduce quickly and Magog population quickly reaches the trillions.

Technology

The Magog are a savage race interested only in eating and reproducing, but have been able to be a spacefaring race. It is unknown where their technology came from. They could have stolen what they needed from a local race to expand, but it is strongly hinted at that the Spirit of the Abyss taught them how to create, or at least gave them, their technology. Even if they did steal their technology, they are intelligent enough to learn how to operate it effectively. Currently they use gauss guns for personal weapons and possess powerful spacecraft.

Magog Swarm Ships

These are their fighter craft/carrier ships. They carry an undetermined number of Magog. They tend to attach to a ship, cut through their hull, and swarm the vessel. They then proceed to kill and eat the crew of the vessel. The carrier vessels are armed with PSP's (point singularity projectors) that fire mini-black holes, although the method for "firing" even a small black hole is unknown. This is a very efficient way of destroying a target.

Magog World ship

This is the Magog 'mothership', and possibly the home world of the Magog. A superstructure made of 20 connected planets surrounding an artificial sun, it is the size of a small solar system. It is armed with point singularity weapons, carries an unknown but massive number of smaller vessels, and is home to trillions of Magog. In the beginning of Season 4, it was discovered the ship was built by an immortal cyborg named Kroton at the behest of the Enigma. At the end Season 4, it was thought to be destroyed, but it was later revealed to merely be crippled in Season 5.

The Spirit of the Abyss

Their leader, or god, is the Spirit of the Abyss. He appears to be a powerful but not omnipotent energy being. His powers are not clearly known. He has been shown to be able to take over people's bodies, and absorb energy. The Magog say that he is their creator. In an earlier episode, Rev Bem says that the Divine created the Magog: "...the Divine also has nightmares, for he created us." Though, this was before he had heard of the Spirit of the Abyss. "

Here is info on the High Guard. PLEASE READ THIS!

High Guard

The High Guard is a fictional military organization in the TV series Andromeda. Its origins can be traced back to a legendary Vedran warrior, General Huascar nax Yoweri, whose campaign of conquest across the Six Galaxies produced the Vedran Empire. The general's personal guard, lieutenants and other retainers and assistants formed the nucleus of the High Guard, which quickly grew to be the Empire's official military.
Initially open to only Vedran members, the High Guard admitted recruits from other races when enlistment began to decrease. This move was seen as the first step towards the Empire becoming the Systems Commonwealth.

The High Guard is divided into two branches: the Argosy (navy) and Lancer Corps (marines). It operates a massive space fleet, consisting of every type of starship known to military science: deep standoff attack ships, frigates, destroyers, science vessels, couriers, corvettes, Lancer Corps troop transports, and so on.
Complementing the High Guard is the Home Guard, a type of National Guard planetary defense force. Each Commonwealth member world has its own contingent of Home Guard personnel.

The ships AI (the AI's name should be something related to the name of the ship, the Crimson Sunrise)
Science Officer
Life Support Officer
Slipfighter pilots/commander
Any others you can think of

I’m not going to limit the number of people you can control, but make sure you can or I’ll kill them off. The first officer’s rank will be AO5 (Argosy) and other ship people will have ranks from AO1-AO4 and AE1-AE9. The Lancers can be LE1-LE9 and LO1-LO5, except for the leader, who’ll be a LO6.

The races you can be are the Humans (normal or geneticaly-enhanced (heavy-worlders, ability to breath underwater, ability to see in the dark), Perseids (secientists only), Than, and Nietzscheans. Most of the people onboard the ship will be human. Go to the Major Races part of this website (close to the bottom) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andromeda_%28TV_series%29 .

Say what position you want when you join. The XO is reserver (possibly), so if you want that, put your second choice too incase the person I'm going to ask to do it doesn't want to.

The rules are the normal rules, nothing special other than if you have a question about how things work, ask me and I’ll look it up and tell you (or make it up if I can’t find that answer. Oops…did I just say that out loud? :P ). I don't think I forgot anything, but if I did, tell me.

Oh, and another thing. This is my first RP, so go easy on me! But if you have any criticsm, please say and I'll try to fix it. (but don't just go 'This RP is stupid.' It'll hurt my feelings and I'll be emotionally scarred forever. :P )

Thanks (both for your intrest and your complement). As for the detial, it comes from having too much time on my hands....way, way too much time...and wikipedia.

It also doesn't matter that you haven't seen the series. Though I would recomend watching it just because it is on of the best SciFi shows I've seen, and thats basicly all I watch so I know SciFi)

Any particular position you would be intrested in?

That's all right. Just say when you figure it out. Looks like I'm going to need to get a biography template up. Give me a minute.................working...................working................

***

Name:
Species:
Age:
Position:
Rank:
Affiliation (Exe:Argosy Special Ops or Lancer Corp):
Physical Discription/Distinguishing Physical Characteristics:
Background:
Personality:

That's just a base for it, you don't have to fill in all the fields (such as personality) and you can add other things if you would like, but try to fill in most of them. I'll make up my bio in a sec.

***

Name: David Gray
Species: Human (genetically enhanced heavy-worlder)
Age: 39
Position: Captain
Rank: Argosy Officer 6 (Captain)
Affiliation (Exe: Argosy Special Ops or Lancer Corp): Argosy Special Operations
Physical Desctiption/Distinguishing Physical Characteristics: Gray is six feet, three inches with blue eyes and light brown hair.
Background: Born on a high gravity planet to heavy-worlder parents, David served as an enlisted man in the Home Guard on his home planet before joining the High Guard Academy, graduating with honors. He worked his way up in ranks at a rapid pace and just now became the Captain of the Crimson Sunrise, a Glorious Heritage-class heavy destroyer.
Personality: He has an aura of calm confidence that seems to infect everyone around him, one of the things that makes him such a great leader. He always believes there is a way to do something, even if the solution isn't obvious.

***

P.S. The next time the series airs on the SciFi channel is December 14 from 7:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. (around those times, at least), incase your intrested.

Anyway, I'm still reading through the info, but I'd like to hesitantly reserve a spot as the doctor!

Is this bio alright? Correct me if I've made any errors. I havn't seen that many Andromeda episodes.

Name: Fenrir Alkema out of Isis by Hrothgar Alkema of the Sabra Pride. But just call him Fenrir
Species: nietzshchean
Age: 45
Position: lancer
Rank: Colonel
Affiliation (Exe:Argosy Special Ops or Lancer Corp): Lancer corp
Physical Discription/Distinguishing Physical Characteristics: Small and lanky for a nietzshchean. He has dark skin, black, shaggy hair, and grey-green eyes. His bone blades are long and very sharp.
Background: Thrown out of the clan because he was deemed "too small" to be genetically progressive for the clan. After that he joined the Lacer Corps
Personality: Determined, a bit stubborn, but with a good sence of humor. He is also very calm and laid back.

Yeah, the bio is good.

However, some personal issues have come up during the current week, so this RP will be posponed until they are resolved because I want it to be good and that won't happen right now. Sorry for the inconvinence, but if you could still get your bios up, that'd be great so right when my personal issues are resolved, we can start.

I'll both post here and pm all of you that are intrested when the issues are resolved so you don't need to check on this daily. (but please don't forget about it as I would love for it to get going, but I don't think is fair to you that it won't be as good as it should be because I'll be distracted)

So, until then, this RP is on hold, but please don't forget about it and it is still open to new people. Any new people just post your position and then post a bio and I'll pm you when I get back with the people who already posted.

Thanks:

The~Doctor

I prefer female roles, with mythalogical type species ... can you recomend any roles I might want to think about?

Gender doesn't matter for any position.

Playing as the AI could be intresting, because you would really be playing three characters. The three parts of any AI system on a High Guard ship are called: Core, which is the main AI and only appears on monitors and knows everything there is to know about the ship; Logic, which is a holographic AI that is the most logical (where it got its name from) and thinks things through the most; and Body, which is the physical avatar of the AI and can experience emotions that the others can't. Body can also leave the ship for periods of time and run on a battery while Logic and Core must remain on the ship.

Each AI has a slightly different personality, but the same basic principles. Core is most concerned with protecting the ship and her ability to function, Logic always wants to do the most logical course of action, and Body is concerned with the welfare of the crew and the ship's Captian.

If not the AI, then a Nietzshchean female XO could be intresting, although it doesn't really matter to me what post you pick.

****

More info:

Inari: genetically engineered humans who are identical to the baseline humans except for their ability to see perfectly in any light. However, extremly bright lights cause temporary blindness for longer than in the baseline humans.

Heavy-Worlders: Genetically engineered humans who appear identical to normal humans. On any heavy-gravity planet, their strength and reaction times are comparable to a normal human's on a normal-gravity planet. However, when they are in normal-gravity conditions, then heavy-worlders have faster reaction times and are stronger than their normal human counterparts. (Their strength and reaction times are comparable to a Nietzshchean's. However, they do not have any other traits comparable to Nietzshcheans) Their bone mass is slightly greater than a normal human's would be.

Water-Breathers: Genetically engineered humans who appear identical to normal humans. However, they have the ability to breathe underwater.

You would carry a personal weapon (a single 'Lance) for protection.

As for medical equiptment, you would have the basic stuff. (scanner to find out what's wrong, sediditives, surgery stuff, pain meds, ect...) You also have nano-bots, which are tiny computer/robots, that you inject into the body. They are programmed to heal a specific injury (you would program them) and then leave the body as waste. However, the nano-bots are not an instant-fix. They require time to preform their specified task and cannot preform extremly-complex things. (Such as removing a slug (bullet) from a wound. That would be the doctor's job to preform.) However, healing burns or cuts are well within what they can do. They can also heal broken bones, but the doctor is required to set the bone back into its right shape and place it in a splint because the nano-bots might try to repair the leg in a way it shouldn't be.

Hope that satisfies your question.

Forgot to say this earlier, but your bio is fine Nauriel.

Here is info on Slipstream:

"Slipstream:it's not the best way to travel faster than light, it's just the only way." - Dylan Hunt

A Gravity Field Generator drastically reduces the mass of the ship and then a slipstream drive opens a slippoint which the ship enters. The pilot then navigates the series of slipstream "tunnels" until they reach the desired slippoint where they exit the slipstream.

Quote from unnamed scientist, "Since its discovery nearly 10,000 years ago by Vedran physicist Rochinda, the slipstream has connected the galaxies together. Slipstream is an extension of our reality, an additional dimension that's integrally intertwined with our own. The slipstream is a place where quantum connections are visible as cords, especially the large and strong connections like those between huge concentrations of matter such as planets or suns. A spaceship that enters the slipstream can harness the energy of these cords and ride them from one star system to another.
One interesting thing about moving through the slipstream is that travel time between points has very little to do with the distance actually traveled. If a pilot is lucky, and the stream unfolds just right, the ship could transit between galaxies in minutes. But put an unlucky pilot at the helm and the same trip could take weeks or even months.

Luckily for the cause of interstellar commerce and communication, the more a certain path is frequently traveled, the faster, easier and more predictable the journey becomes. As a result, frequently-traveled routes between major Commonwealth worlds -- Vedra to San-Ska-Re, for example -- are safe and convenient.

Another unusual aspect of slipstream is the requirement of an organic pilot to guide a starship through the slipstream. At an intersection of pathways in slipstream space, both paths manifest the potentiality of being correct and incorrect. It's only when the pilot chooses a specific direction that this potentiality collapses and one path becomes right, and the other wrong. For reasons still not completely understood, organic beings tend to choose the correct paths, or more precisely, the very act of choosing makes the path they have chosen the correct one.

But strangely, computers -- even ones with artificial intelligence -- are incapable of this reality-altering guesswork. Even the most sophisticated starship in the Systems Commonwealth requires an organic sentient to pilot through the starlanes -- a prospect some sentients regard as deeply disturbing but others find comforting."

An A.I. attempting slipstream travel has a 50% chance of selecting the correct route at each intersection encountered, owing to organic 'intuition' a living pilot has a greater than 99% chance of guessing the correct route to take.

Usually one has to enter and exit slipstream several times before reaching their final destination. Slipstream travel almost always results in very little or no time dilation.

Due to the complex nature of slipstream probability and difficulty in mapping slipstream, only biological entities are capable of successfully navigating it. Exiting slipstream near the edge of a galaxy or in certain regions of space could be dangerous because it is difficult to find a slippoint in these areas. If a slippoint cannot be found, or a slipstream drive is damaged, the ship is stranded and limited to slower than light speed.

All right. Once you two get your bios up we'll start, unless more people join.

And a note, incase anyone doesn't want to be in it now/can't be in this now, people can join later. I'll work with you to find a way to get you r character into the game.
