Jack ran forward and tried to seperate Sayid and Sawyer. He grabbed Sawyer's arms and a few other men tried to stop Sayid.
"Let go of me.." Sawyer spat "That terrorist let the plane crash.."
Sayid, now enraged even more tried to get closer to Sawyer. But Jack panted: "Sayid, calm down. He's not worth it." Slowly Sayid seemed to come back to his senses and he turned his back at Sawyer. "You're right Jack."
Sawyer narrowed his eyes and turned to Jack. If looks could kill Jack would have been dead that very instant. "What gives you the right, Cowboy, to give orders here?" Sawyer groaned. "Because you're a doctor? Well guess what pal: on this God forsaken island it doesn't matter what you were. It's every man for himself!"
Jack let go of Sawyer and listened calmly to his angry words and looked at the survivers one for one, who'd gathered around the fight.
"You're right.." he replied "Nothing gives me the right to order anything." Jack turned to Sayid and he continued while pointing to him: "I don't believe this man caused the plane to crash" His voice grew louder. "But we will not last long here if we're going to fight. If it's gonna be every man for himself! I don't know when we'll be rescued but until then we need to make the best out of it. If we can't live together, we will die alone"

Claire, who was in the group of people who looked at jack, sawyer and sayd, nodded, hearing jack talk. "he's right" she whispered. she looked at the people next to her. some of them were nodding too. she recognized only a few of them she saw the night before.
