PD turned as Eruraina and Murtagh joined her and Tur. “hello to both of you! and it's wonderful to meet you, Murtagh. You’re so sweet together! I wish you both all the best!” she turned to Lord Beckett, who was still beside her, “yes, this is my husband, Lord Beckett.” a broad smile crossed her face and she looked up at him and slipped her hand in his. “this is our semi-first formal gathering as well. We’ve been to several smaller gatherings, but never a big one like this.” Lord Beckett gave a slight bow of the head toward Murtagh and Eruaina. He was used to the bounciness of his wife by now, although sometimes he felt a little self conscious with being shown off and talked about all the time. Eh, it just came with the job, and he had been practically born in the spotlight and that way of life anyway. Surely he could handle a little more of it from the one he loved most.
"ah, here come the Norringtons, dear." He smiled down at PD, knowing she would be even more thrilled (if that was possible)
“oooh, hello, mother, father!” PD bounced over to them and helped them remove their cloaks. “sorry to hear you had trouble! But at least you’re here now!”

TT hurried into the room. She smiled shyly at everyone and made her way to the table with the guest book. After signing it, she turned and looked around the room.
She noticed her mother, father and grandparents and ran to greet them.
"Hello! Merry Christmas!", she said warmly.

Kit went around from group to group greeting everyone in the cozy entrance hall with a bright smile, "Oh my what an absolutely lovely dress Calloniel! What taste!"
There was certainly no time to waste. The chefs had set out complimentary snacks for the arrival of the guests, and she made sure that none of the animals servant's pets got into them. Previously she had set out sets and sets of Christmas decorations of all sorts by the trees in the main hall and could not be patient for the tree decorating for she hopes it will be quite a lovely activity to do for the Ball.

Eruraina smiled and said hello to Kitoky, then turned to Murtagh.
"Shall we go to the ballroom and dance? Though, I wonder if they have spare instruments. Kitoky, would there happen to be spare flutes or violins I could play?"

A spray of snow splashed onto the walk as Mat reined in his bay stallion. Nurr laughed coming up behind him, the sheer joy of riding clear on her face. She nudged Mat in the ribs, pointing to the long line of carriages near the doors. "Looks like we're the only ones braving the weather today," she remarked.
"And now we may get soaked to death," Mat returned with a grin. "Why I let you talk me into things...."
"Oh, hush. C'mon, let's go inside." Nurr walked inside and reveled in the warmth. Quickly signing their names, she moved toward a small group, dragging Mat behind her.
"Tur, MH, Cal, Rain, how nice to see you all!" She exclaimed, hugging them in turn. "Isn't this wonderful? I can't wait for this whole week!"
"Yeah, she's been a bit annoying actually," Mat murmured.
"Ah, I believe some of you have met my fiance Matrim. Now behave Mat, I want you to make a good impression." She introduced a lanky youth with a mischievous grin.

Eruraina squeeled with delight and ran off to the ballroom where she picked out a silver flute with golden inscriptions of rose vines.
Murtagh stayed in the Foyer, getting a cup of red wine. "Well, I suppose I shall follow Rain and make sure she doesn't get into trouble," he said, and went off to the ballroom.

MH and Haldir had been their way to the refreshment table. MH eyed the Yule chocolates all around the table. She grabbed a handfull of them and ate a few pieces. Haldir reached over and stole the remaining ones from his wife's hand.
"No more then two hundred and seventy milligrams," he said and popped one of the pieces in his mouth. "While I, on the other hand, can have as much as I want." He then smirked.
"Well do be sure to save some for the others now," MH said sarcastically.
Haldir coughed trying to stifle a laugh. "I woludn't worry about that, there is plently here to feed everyone. Come now." Haldir took his wife's hand and pulled her away from the table. "I believe your mother has just arrived."
MH's attention had left the chocolate and she began looking around the room for her mother and spotted her nearby and smiled.
"Momma!" she called to Nurr and rose her hand in the air and waved.

Tur grinned and hugged PD quickly. "Oh, thank you dear. We are not sure of the date yet, though we are thinking sometime this spring." Conner nodded at Beckett and said, "Thank you for the tip. I think I shall heed your warning well." Then, he smiled at Murtagh and Eruraina. "A pleasure to meet you both." He said to them and as Tur smiled at them. "Ah, it's great to see both of you! Rain, you look beautiful!" She said.

Dwarves, who did not ware a tux, nor a suite, but a slick red leather tunic with dwarf runes, black trousers, and a red longsleeve undershirt, along with boots, and a black cloak, hoped out of the next carrage to pull up. He turned and held out a hand to help Nymphador Tonks out of the carrage(I know I'm spelling this wrong...).

Kit ushered everyone because it was getting quite dark and chilly, and she had always prefered the warm surrounding of a house in the wintertime and would assume that others would too.

With a soft 'pop', two more guests literally appeared in the foyer, as if out of thin air. Smoothing out the folds of her deep purple dress and robe combination, Raven unlinked her arm from that of her husband, Fred, for a moment and did much the same to the front of his dark dress robes..at least until he shooed her hands away and smirked. "No fussing, please."
"Well, if you hadn't decided for us to make a late appearance, I woudn't have to fuss!" Raven chided, hands on her hips. "Honestly, apparating in after nightfall, what you were thinking.."
"All right, mum." The joking barb had the intended affect, and Raven sighed in resignment and took Fred's hand, half leading, half dragging him over to sign the guest book. Sweet and simple on her part..in disappearing ink and with a flourishing script on his.

Her first ball! Lor smoothed out her navy blue dress once more before starting to walk through the entrance wide eyed trying to take in everything at one. She looked at everyone around her smiling and couldn't help to smile herself. This was so exciting.
