Vari listened to Carmon interrogate Elizabeth - she wasn’t sure how Elizabeth would feel about it after that little outburst, but if it got the pain out then it did a lot of good.

“Aye, I’m certain of that,” Edward said, wanting to get the last word of their argument in. “Besides, shouldn’t we be trying to find a way out of this h*llhole?” He watched James carefully, not taking his hand off the sword. It just might come in handy at some point.

Richard cursed aloud as he recognized the figure moving towards Cole and him. “Oh, bloody…” It was none other than Lord Cutler Beckett, the very man that had sent him here in the first place. Well, not like he can kill me if I’m already dead… Richard mused.

(that's alright, Ara! I know Anie is sorta busy at the moment so until she gets here we'll just chill out.  )
Cole stared over at Richard as he heard him curse. "what's wrong?" He didn't quite recognize the other man yet. Although if he had, he would've known Lord Beckett for sure. As it was, Cole only looked between the two men in silence and waited to see what would come next.

James wished he could say something in return to this boy in front of him, but he decided against it. He would be the bigger man and let it drop. "actually we were just discussing that before you... interrupted us." he gave Edward one last slightly disgusted look before he turned back to Kayala, "so, should we continue and we can talk about it as we go?" he intended to leave Edward behind, and he truly hoped it would work and the other man would take the hint.

Beckett didn't move an inch for the longest time before he realized one thing. Even if those things or people or whatever they were, were up to no good he was already dead, right? He hated those thoughts coming to him, he hated admitting it, but it was the truth, was it not? Cutler began to move forward again, but ever he kept his eyes on the two figures. He fingered into the inside pocket of his coat until he felt his pistol. “Shh! You never saw me here!” Richard quickly ducked down behind Cole, attempting to hide behind the other man even though he knew it wasn’t working too well. Perhaps the sun had finally gotten to him, or the endless snow-white sand, but either way his movements resembled those of a psychotic primate who was a few bananas short of a bunch…

The prospect of Norrington and Kayala leaving him behind made Edward only more angered than when he had first seen James since the ex-commodore’s death. Gritting his teeth and clenching his fists, Edward decided that he had finally had enough of this so-called Admiral and took matters into his own hands, literally. He ran up behind James and tackled him, the two men now on the beach and struggling for control. Edward grabbed a hold of James’s shirt collar and growled, “There’s no way I’m spending the rest of my afterlife in this godforsaken place! As soon as we get up to the real world, I’m going to send you right back here!”

The young girl yelped as Edward and James fell to the ground. Her eyes lit up with anger and she jumped into the battle, pushing Edward off James, her voice shrilly yelling," Leave him ALONE Edward!!!" Kayala glared at him, her voice shaking as she said coldly, "Leave...James...ALONE."

(ok, so um, we're waiting for... who at the current time? Only Millie right? Anie gave me permission to godmode Lizzie while she's gone so I think we're alright, right? Sorry, sometimes I just have to mentally go through these things and make sure we're not leaving anyone behind
ahem! *clears throat and begins to get into Lizzie-mode* )
Elizabeth was tiring of all the questions. Why couldn't they just leave her be? She tried to focus once more, but thoughts and pictures of Will kept springing into her mind. She tried to remind herself what Will had told her. It was only ten years. She could do that, couldn't she? "yes, Will is alive!" she paused in frustration, "he - he's just gone on a long voyage." She wished Jack would step in and stop all the questions. He was the only one here who really understood. She got up and went over to him. "Jack?"
(there's me first go at Lizzie (not ever, but as a substitute for Anie  )

Cole blinked in confusion as the grown man hid behind him. "what? What are you doing?" he turned to face Rich and as he did he exposed him again. "why are you..." he wasn't sure what to call it. Childish? No, he didn't want to offend his newfound friend, "hiding?" he wondered, though, if the man had lost it in this barren land.
(lol, that was a fun post to read, Ara!)

Carmon looked over at Vari and raised an eyebrow at Elizabeth's short answer. This wasn't exactly what she had hoped for, but at least Will was alive, right? She followed Elizabeth to where Jack and Alex stood.

Lord Beckett stopped and watched what the beings slightly in front of him were doing. He stared in puzzlement. One of them seemed like he was trying to hide, although really it just looked like he was attempting to... wait. Beckett stopped and looked closer. The man acting like a lunatic looked familiar. Although Beckett had seen a lot of people in his life. Now that he thought of it, the other man seemed to look familiar as well.

Before he knew what was happening, James was tackled to the ground by the filthy (in his eyes ) pirate, Edward. "I'm afraid this place is the only thing you deserve!" James had tried to maintain composure before, but now this little hooligan had gone too far! as they struggled in the white sand James was even more infuriated by the pirate. "and why... would you think... it would be we... reaching the real world!?" he said between swings and who-knows-what-else. Suddenly he felt Kayala pushing them apart and yelling. He got out of Edward's grasp and stood back behind her and let her tell him off while he fixed his uniform. He clearly knew where this was going and at least she was setting that Edward straight, and it pleased him to watch. The dirty, wretched, filthy pirate anyway.
(lol, well this is fun!  Norrie and Edward in a brawl with poor Kayala caught in the mix!  )

Richard remained where he was, poking his head out from behind Cole. “Don’t ye realize who that is?” He gasped, hoping that all of this had been a bad dream and he wasn’t really seeing Lord Cutler Beckett standing less than one hundred yards away.

Vari sighed; she had tried her best but Elizabeth was still flustered. Well, at least Will was still alive and it was one less person they had to worry about bringing back. And now that the journey was finally beginning made Vari feel a little more hopeful. “Don’t worry Edward, we’ll be there soon,” she breathed softly before following Carmon, Jack and Alex back to the Pearl.

“Ye bloody little…!” Some of the worst profanities Edward could think of that escaped his lips were directed at James even as Kayala broke up the fight. Edward stood up, coming as close as he could to Norrington without Kayala pushing him away. “What’s the matter, Admiral,” at this he scowled, “letting the girl fight yer own battles for ye?” Then he turned to Kayala, staring her down with cold green eyes. “An’ what makes ye take his side?” He asked accusingly. “Do ye feel pity towards him too just because he fails at everything?” Maybe he was going a bit too far, but there was no better time than now to get out all of his anger.

"ummm..." Cole gave Rich a puzzled look and turned to study the man in front of them better. "not really... sorta... he looks familiar" he squinted and looked hard. "but no matter who it is why are you...." he stopped as he suddenly realized who the other man was.

Beckett continued toward them. He wasn't nervous anymore because apparently these two men were already worried about him. He smiled smugly to himself and he came ever nearer. He couldn't put a name to the faces he saw because he had seen so many faces in his life, but he knew he HAD seen them before.

Norrington tensed as he heard Edward cuss him out. but he knew this was just some pirate scum. They were too low to actually think of intelligent comebacks. He stood straight and fiercely looked Edward in the eyes. "no." he said coldly. "but she's right. I should've never stooped myself to fight with the likes of you like I did." his answer was smug and he knew it would get at the pirate. 'why are you fighting like this?' he asked himself. in the real world he had always been smoother when it came to dealing with people who gave him trouble. He had hardly ever been the one to just start kicking and punching. He wondered what had gotten into him lately. He really needed time alone to think and clear his head! Why was he becoming so... lost feeling lately? But he forgot everything when he heard Edward address Kayala. "maybe she just has some common sense. Something you obviously lack in especially if you even attempt to think that I've failed at everything! Your life obviously didn't go to smoothly either, pirate." James' light green/blue eyes had turned dark and filled with anger, but he stayed where he was. He was determined to be the bigger man here. And he had Kayala on his side, he knew that must make this Edward even more angry since she was a pirate like him.

Jack nearly dropped his compass,"What?" He turned to Elizabeth,"Oh. It's just you." Jack wrinkled his nose a little,"What do you want?"

Richard stayed where he was, although he knew it would probably do no good as Beckett drew closer and closer. “It’s Lord Beckett!” He said in a loud whisper. “The bloody little scum killed me ten years ago.”

Edward brought his hand up to cover his nose which started bleeding, but thankfully was not broken. Without a word, he brushed past the two, boiling with anger. Who did Kayala think she was?! And if Norrington thought that this was over, he was in for an enormous surprise. They were going to be stranded here forever without his help. “I’ll show them,” he growled to himself, sitting down on a large boulder and trying to make the blood stop. A mix of emotions surged through his body and it was only when his vision started to blur that he realized he was crying. If there was one person that he wanted to see right now, it was Vari.

(I just had a look at the list of who plays who on the first post and, man, I let that slide, didn’t I?  anyway, so I updated it all!  )
Carmon smiled back at Vari. They were almost on their way! "come then, let's go back to the ship and start sailing for World's End!" she stared at Jack, waiting for a reply. Finally, she was starting to get excited and she prayed Cole would be at the end of this adventure.

Cole only nodded in acknowledgment to what Rich said. But before he had even said it, Cole had known who the other person was. He hadn’t ever gone through anything much with Lord Beckett. He had heard about him and he had heard good and bad. It all depended on who he had talked to. "he murdered you? Or was it simply a combat between two ships?"

Lord Beckett was soon standing right in front of them. He waited for them to make the first move as he studied them closely.

For a moment James stood rather happily by Kayala as she punched the pirate and told him how it was. He nodded and smiled slightly as she turned to him. "that felt good." she said. And he knew how she felt. Now they could move on without this Edward. Finally he has learned his place, James thought confidently as he watched Edward walk away. He watched the other man for a few moments. Suddenly a guilty feeling came up out of nowhere. He tried to push it off, but it kept coming back. Edward was still a person just like him, did he really deserve this place any more than he did? James' eyes turned to the ground. He had turned on many people when he gave Beckett the heart. Many people had died because of that. Was what he did any better than what this pirate had ever done in his whole life? He felt ashamed to think of his actions in the real world and just now. The pirates side had been the right side to defeat Lord Beckett. Afterall, Elizabeth had chosen their side in the end. And she was no fool. That had also been... the side he chose when he saved her. Memories and new thoughts rushed through him. The pirates had been fighting for the right side in their own, odd way. He couldn't believe what he had just done. How could he have been so blind when it was all so clear that night he had freed Elizabeth? He shook his head and sighed as he slowly went over to Edward. "I'm...." he paused. "sorry." it was all he could think of to say.

Vari nodded, now feeling rather adventurous. She couldn’t wait to get back up to the rigging and watch as the ship was taken over World’s End - to feel the spray of the water and rush of the wind. These simple things had become meaningless since Edward’s death, but just the thought of him made everything Vari loved about pirating come to life again.
“Aye, Jack! How long do ye figure it will be ’til we’ve gotten there?” Vari called to him, hoping for a short voyage.

Richard stared at Cole for a few minutes. “Well, he took our ship, an’ I suppose it was my fault for provokin’ him, but the point is - he shot me.” Now Beckett was directly in front of them. Using Cole as a shield, Rich stood up nervously. “ ’Ello, mate.”

Edward wiped furiously at the tears sliding down his face before turning his gaze up to Norrington, who now stood in front of him. “If this be a trick of some sort, I’m not interested,” he spoke softly. How could he trust this man after what had just happened? Surely the Admiral was up to no good…
