Freya and Darcy slipped into the ballroom, having finshed thier Christmas tree. Standing on tip-toes, the short elf whispered something into the tall human's ear. Darcy smiled and, reaching into the inside of his jacket, pulled out a silver flute. The pair made their way to the front of the room, where Darcy sat in a low chair, and Freya stood beside him.
Placing the flute at his lips, he took a breath and blew softly into the instrument. As the first strains of "Christmas Waltz" began to rise over the crowd, Darcy nodded to Freya, who began to sing, her voice rising clear.
"Frosted windowpanes
Candles gleaming inside
Painted candy canes on the tree
Santa's on his way
He's filled his sleigh with things
Things for you and me
It's that time of year
When the world falls in love
Ev'ry song you hear seems to say
Merry Christmas
May your New Year dreams come true

In the middle of a waltz PD suddenly began looking around the room more, "Look at all the new people who have come to dance, Becky! I didn't realize there were so many! I had gotten all caught up in the dance and... " she trailed off. Finally, the waltz ended and she turned to welcome everyone with a warm smile, "hello!"

Responding to both JF and Nurr's astonishment that she hadn't been around in a while Ms.Gamgee said blushing "Yes, I know, I've been absolutely horrible...i just got SO busy, things began to bile up one on top of the other...but anywho, i'm here, and hopefully i shall manage to stay!"Ms.Gamgee greeted Calloniel as she came along too.
When Freya finished her song, Ms.Gamgee applauded for her and commented to the others about the beautiful voice Freya had.

Frey blushed and stepped down to where Ms. Gamgee was standing. "Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. 'Tis a bit out of season now, but 'tis one of my favorites."

"I think it's time for us to go," Caunion said to Ms.Gamgee. He was a bit sad that the ball had ended so soon. Sad wasn't the right word..remorseful. "Good night everyone. Happy holidays to you all and I hope you have a happy new year." He held out his hand towards Ms.Gamgee to lead her back into the TARDIS.

"Oh, no, it was wonderful! It really was, you have a lovely voice." But she turned as soon as Caunion had addressed her "time to leave already?" she asked.
It seemed they ahd just arrived, she was sad to have to go already "Well" she said to everyone "i suppose i shall see you all around. Happy Holidays everyone" she said with a smile, and she took Caunion's hand.
Before stepping onto the Tardis she turned around and called "good night!" to everyone.
