Very true. I am going to go and set up the nominations right now in the contests and graphics sections.

Maybe for the voting we could use a traditional contest method instead of a poll--letting voters select a first, second and third place rather than casting one vote. This way, instead of everyone simply voting for the obvious winner, other nominees may get a chance to be considered for the second and third place consolation awards. (Having multiple places for the awards was a great idea, by the way. )

Very true. I would like to do that also.
I am going to need cool names for these awards.

Are you going to have Middle-Earth related names, like the Member awards, or just the normal names already listed?

I want creative names. Although, I was wondering if they should be middle-earth or like random graphics names.
Ex.
Devintart Award (Most flexible graphics maker)

Most flexible graphics maker award could be the "Pablo Picasso" award, he was known for doing a completely different style of painting, etc.
Anything but Deviantart Award, there are some serious copyright issues with that.

Very true.
I will have to think some more on it, though.

Proposed Names for awards... going with LotR is just so much easier.
Graphic Makers:
-Best Banners
-Wizard Award: Best Blends
-Dwarven Award: Best Avatars
-Elven Award: Best Colorizations
-Most Flexible (Able to make the most variety of graphics)
-Hobbit Award: Most Unique Graphics
-Rohirrim Award: Most Dependable (Turning in Graphics on time for contests and finishing graphics in a timely manner for requests)
-Dudeain Award: Most Involved (has a graphic thread, participates in contests, runs claims)
(I want to put Gondorian in there, but I am not sure where, and we can switch some of them around.)
Contests:
-Samwise Gamgee Award: Most Dependable Contest Host (Starts and Ends Contests on time, keeps track well, etc.)
-Meriadoc Brandybuck Award: Best Long-Run Contest (over # rounds)
-Peregrin Took Award: Best Short-Run Contest (under # rounds)
-Frodo Baggins Award: Most Involved Contest Host (Will take over someone's contest if asked, volunteers, etc.)

Same here with a little bit of extra knowledge here and there, but I really did like the films more than the books, although that is greatly influenced by my utter dislike of reading.

Same with me. I know bits and pieces that I have picked up, although I have read the first two books and the Hobbit, I've never read them all.
*gasp*
You don't like reading?

I will if I have to... but movies are more enjoyable.
