*pat pat* Don't get depressed just yet.

Just think about Hurley and it will be alright. I mean he is the dude. Hurley's like the people's character.. I mean admittedly we don't all have great rocks from space crashing down on properties we own, but he really is more normal than the others. :P

Ooh, and Libby will be back this series... I mean... not back, back but involved in a flashback, I reckon it will be Desomond. He is the only character not to have seen Libby on the island, all the others have and didn't recognise her (even Hurley didn't) and apparently Rosseau will be getting her own flashback episode sometime as well.

This magazine is so interesting. I am definitely even more on the side of the Others... if that were possible... I'll have to type out what some of the actors say. :D

Hey Gil! :bye2:

Bad news about LOST. :-( The writers strike that's going on at the moment, if it carries on into the new year then LOST will either be postoned to autumn (fall) 2008 or postponed until 2009. :swoon:

Or even, the first 8 episodes that are completed may be shown in February and then the rest shown later in the year. But the writers say that the first 8 being shown and then a break of 6-7 months will be like reading Deathly Hallows and putting it down halfway through. As epsiode 8 is a real cliffhanger.

Let's hope the writers get the money they want so they go back to work.

Hello, Gil!

Well, personally I'm supporting the writers' strike.

Even though I KNOW it's gonna impact my favourite shows currently running. *sigh* So, I HOPE that those damned producers/executives listen up. Because those writers are the REASON we have amazing shows like Lost.

But hopefully the strike won't last that long! That's intense that it'd be postponed for that long.

What's it for? Is it for better money? I haven't really heard the reason for it.

We had a postal strike in the UK, that ended up overall lasting three weeks if you add up the various days they decided not to work. All I can say is, it didn't really do them any favours in the end with the public, three weeks without mail?!

I feel sorry though for the "strikers" who don't want to strike who can't afford not to be paid, but if they are part of a union and they continue to work... the consequences can be quite nasty.

Anyway, I hope they give them what they want as well. If all the big ratings pullers end up being cancelled then they're going to have to listen. They can't lose all those shows.

I read that too, about the WGA strike effecting Lost :'( I don't know much about the strike, either, but I think I might support it, because I've talked to a lot of people who do know about it, and they seem to support it.

But I agree, I hope the producers resolve it quickly! I thought I was going to die waiting till FEBRUARY for Lost - I DEFINITELY can't wait until the fall or *gasp* 2009! :swoon:

Yeah, just give 'em what they want so everyone will be happy. The strikers, us, TV exectives.

It will be so disappointing if the show gets postponed.

Basically, what they want is more money. It's a union, so pretty much union stuff is what they're fighting for.

Pushing Lost FURTHER than Februray of 2008 may break me. Gaaaah. And I've been reading about the possible and probable postponement of lots of other shows. Big shows. So, I'm assuming this shuffling of big shows like Lost will really get the producers to listen to the writers' guild. Hopefully. And then if they still don't do anything, they'll have crazy fans like us after them. XD Plus crazy writers. XD XD XD Mwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

EDIT: Whoa. No emoticons in that post!

What I want to know is, why wouldn't the producers give the writers more money? I mean a) with the strike, that means no shows and lots of angry fans and b) the writers ARE the show...without them, no one would watch...because they write the show. they make it interesting to watcdh!

How come the actors get paid so much, when really it's the writers who are doing everything?

*humph*

Wow. I got really fired up about that :P

Oh my law Pages have been added since last I visited this thread. :'( I really, really need to start checking this thread much more often. Sorry, please forgive my previous abscence.

JF, I am thrilled to "hear" that you have been able to watch season three! :) What do you think of it overall? What has been your favorite/least favorite moment of season three?

Great news for us, I just saw a commercial and Lost is returning...on Thursday, January, 31st (2008)! :bounce: (scream of excitement)

*peeks in* Hey all! I started watching Lost online in the past month or so. I'm on ep. 3, season 2. I might join in some conversation after I get all caught up! (Lost rocks!)

As far as I know, Lost will return in 2008 as they planned. But they only have 8 episodes finished and according to Michael Emerson, the 8th episode will be a cliffhanger 0_0.

(looks up at previous posts) Oops sorry about the multiple posts.

Elenya, 'Ello and welcome to the Lost thread. :) We would be more than happy to "hear" what you have to "say" about Lost. :)

Banana_Republic, Only 8 episodes? That is not very many at all. :( I was hoping that there would be more. Well, thanks for sharing the information.
How long of a hiatus will the hiatus be this time? Does anyone here know yet?
(sighs) Oh, well at least it is coming back! I can't wait for January 31st! :bounce:

OH. MY. GOD.

:swoon:

So, I just saw the preview for the new season and I think I started hyperventalating. :P I kind of freaked out just a bit too much.....

I don't usually watch ABC that much...Lost is I think the only show on ABC that I DO watch. :P So, needless to say, this was a coincidence for me to have happened upon the channel. :P

Can I just say EXCITED?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't think I'd be excited. Okay, I'll always be excited for Lost...but not THIS excited. :P (Because of Charlie...) So, I don't know what that means....XD But oh my god!!!!

Besides seeing the actual preview, knowing that its THIS January 31st is INSANE! :P I thought it'd be Febuary. And what's this of moving it to Thursdays?! I LOVE it one Wednesdays! *sigh* Oh well.

And DD, they've been talking about whether or not to air the only episodes they were able to film before the strike or wait until the strike was over. They didn't want to only air 8 because of said cliffhanger. :P To quote "It'd be like reading only half of Harry Potter and then not reading it for months." :P

Oh well...I've waited long enough. :P :bounce:

*freaks out some more*

@ DD - Nice to see you around here. :D

Well I must say series 3 greatly improved with the last 608 episodes, I can't really remember them in great detail to be honest as it was quite a while ago now I saw them. :P

The flashforwards.... meh.... didn't like that. As my brother said, we needn't worry about anything that may happen to Kate or Jack in future episodes because we know they get off the island somehow, so our concern for their survival is now somewhat lessened. A bit silly I thought.

@ Banana - Well I suppose 8 epsiodes are better than us waiting a year for any... but how big a gap will there be before the rest of the series continues? It could be many months. Hopefully public outcry will make the bosses give the writers what they want. ;)

@ Monty - EXPLAIN YOURSELF!! :swoon: :-o

I want 2,000 words of detailed LOST-ness!! I demand, I crave my LOST fix! :swoon:

[BTW, Dominic Monagahan wanted to leave the show as he wasn't happy his character wasn't doing much in series 2 and 3 and that he was ready for a more challenging role, I can kinda see what he means, pity he and the writers couldn't work something out]
