Ednoric, his name was, watched and listened, every now and then glancing at the carcasses of the demons that were freshly slaughtered. This Aaron looked much like his long deceased brother, Peter. So, already Ednoric hated Aaron, just because how he looked. The dark angle's keen scences picked up a sharp oder. Smoke. Curious, he jumped into the sky and flew off, making only a rustle of leaves, and leaving a black feather...

"Well, we had just best leave these woods before nightfall, " Arwyn said quietly. "Who knows what other foul creatures lurk in the shadows, hunting for prey." Suddenly a growl turned her attention down to her wolf. "What is it, Vehiron?" she asked as she knelt beside him and followed the beast's gaze in the area Ednoric had just left. "Did you hear something, boy?" she asked as she stood again and took a step in the that Vehiron indicated.

"Creatures hunt for us!" Fisco and Iris shrieked out at the same time with very different tones. Fisco continued in his much little boyish nature of I can conquer anything, and Iris remained in the mindset of "Oh great. Something else for my brother to act like an idiot with."

Arwyn ignored the cries of the hobbit children for a moment, so intent was she on discovering what had so disturbed her wolf. With a hand on her sword, she approached the thicket cautiously, ready to strike should she need to. Yet, when she pushed back the bushes she found nothing there, save for a single black feather. Vehiron came up behind her then, growling as Thalion hovered above. "Was this what you sensed, boy?" she asked as the wolf continued to growl. "Hey, Aaron! You had best look at this," she called over her shoulder. "It looks like we had company..."

Aaron came over here, and as he looked at the feather, the hair on the back of his neck pricked up.
"Yes, we did have company. Something dark, I can feel the essence of darkness on this spot. But what was here is gone, it seems," he said, glancing around.
"We'd best get moving. Where should we go?"
(I was thinking the other group would bump into this one on their way along the road)

So, some of the Soul Crystals have been found? This is an interesting discovery. This group heading to the land of the vampires is an interesting one indeed. I shall watch them and see what comes of this. Ednoric hit in the treetops a distance away so not to be seen, yet close enough to see. Maybe these people would run into the group he was spying on before.

Vertha heard something approach, much before Larkus heard it as well. "Vertha," he began but Vertha interrupted him, saying, "Yeah, I smell them too. I wonder who they are." She sped up a bit to go faster than Larkus, his bodyguards, and her friends to meet this strange party. She took out her pistol and cried, "Halt! Who approaches?"

Arwyn allowed her arms to hang loosely at her side, yet stood ready to draw upon her magic to fight if need be. "I am Arwyn," she answered in her turn. "And these are my companions Vehiron and Thalion" she said as gestured first at the wolf and then the falcon.
