Well those who know my work, probably know that I'm not the most creative or original when it comes to blends. ;) I was inspired by Bubble Black to try and do something a bit different, and this is what I came up with. Comments and opinions would be greatly appreciated. :-)

Normally when I have added something to a piece and I'm not sure if I like it with or without, by studying it for a bit I can usually decide, but this time I would like you art critics out there to see which version you like best. :D

Thanking you. :bye2:

P.S It is an experimental piece, don't eat me. :hide:

A hobbit would be better, but, other than that, it looks awesome. :P

I'm assuming the only difference between the two is the brushy affect with the text; which I really like. I think it reinforces a bit of the theme and it matches with the other areas of the blend... So I do like #1.

Experimentation never really hurt anyone, since it is just experimentation. It's what you like about, and if it appeals to others, great, but [shrug]. Your work has always been amazing, JF. So I'm not worried in the least.

Another experimentation suggestion, just to see what it looks like, I would add another picture in the bottom right hand side that is slightly faded.

I love it! Aaaah, I inspired someone.

I love the position of everything and the texture and the text. I think I prefer 1 too,it makes the text sort of blend.
Though they are both wicked.

Eek! *dies* Amazing! Seriously...I love it. I wish I was creative enough to do a style like that. Because it's one of my favourite styles...I just can't do it. :P

But I really do love it JF...I'm drooling over here. ::

(Bubs, of course you're inspiring dear! I loove your art...I wish I could do that stuff as well as you can!)

Really, there are a lot of different blend styles, and (almost) all of them look good. This style is amazing; I've never mastered it myself. I wouldn't necessarily say it's "better" than any other style, because so much depends on the subject, colors, etc. of each different blend. But it's certainly a very good style, and one that shows off the pictures more in some ways.

And yes, I like the first one better too.

Basically whatever you do you do well, so I would say you don't need to worry. :-P Whether you realize it or not, you're pretty freakin' talented. :-P
