Or if you want you can have another unknown shinobi just attack Mariko just because she is an Iako, she manages to evade it, but is now angry and maybe strikes down that shinobi in her anger. Only problem is I don't know what to do about her hands being tied by his Yashamaru's rope, if it were any other I could just have her break it.

I don't know, any of these suggestions spark any ideas?)

Zutao gasped in fear and ice shards shot out his hands towards Kuroda as he tried to shut him up.

(freya, my general plan was to attack you, cora makes a sound, and in blind annger Zutao attacks her but is stopped by Aiko before he can do anthing by her red eyes thing. thats the plan anyway.)

"If my kin had come with me, do you really think they would have remain hidden for this long?" Mariko hissed back. "I acted out of my own accord-with neither order nor request from my lord. Nor have I asked any of my kin to accompany me." she added in equally hushed tones, doubting that he would believe her.

Yashamaru thought for a long moment, then sent out his sences to see if he could feel anyone elses presence. Doing this, just concentrating on feeling, he could hear Mariko's breathing. The feeling nagging in his mind yanked at it now. Yashamaru mentally shook it off to a low nagging again. He felt no other presences, so he went along with the Iako's story.
"Alright, then. This way," he said, coming beside her so he could show her the way. Kuroda had said he loved Cora and cared for her, and he had known about the rade beforehand. So he would want Cora safe, and the only place safe from his comrades was his room. Yashamaru hoped his hunch was right about that...

Mariko nodded, but said nothing else. I hope you are alright Cora, she thought to herself. Now she wanted nothing more to see her two companions with her own eyes, putting a blind trust that Yashamaru would keep his word-though her kin probably would have rebuked her for her faith.

Zutao couldn't see, he couldn't think, all he was was fear and anger. He was hardly aware of what he was doing. He heard a slight sound behind him and a single dagger of ice was shot towards its source.

“Cora-sama!” Aiko cried in a horror-filled voice. In a fluid motion she leapt in front of the attack and dissolved the dagger with only a moment to spare with her fire. She then turned to face Zutao with rage-filled eyes, any feelings she might have had for the ninja dissipated. “How could you?” she said in a low, menacing voice. “The woman had no quarrel with you.” With that her eyes began to glow a florescent light as a bitter hatred filled her mouth. A glow began to form around her body, though it was so faint that only those with the sharpest of eyes could detect it. She could feel the energy building up within her as her eyes glowed brighter by the minute. The energy field surrounding her intensified, and the air surrounding her crackled with her hidden power that manifested itself in her boiling rage. Her long raven locks billowed around her as she stood still and glared at the man she had begun to like. Blinded by pure rage, she could not hold back her stored energy and a burst of energy from her eyes was released in Zutao's direction.

(Hope this is okay Anduril. The reason I had to set it up as this and not just jump to her secondary attack is because it takes a longer time to work and she never would have been able to stop the attack with her "Eyes of Destruction")

Aiko's voice snapped Zutoa out of his bloody trance. He stared at her in fear as her hair billowed out.
"I didn't mean to, Cora I..." he gasped appaled at what he ad done before is words were cut off with a scream of inhuman agony.
As he fell to the ground he relaised the screams were his own and that pain such as he had never felt before was ripping him apart.
Finally he gave up and blacked out, his body still shuddering at the pain the racked his body, his face frozen in agony.

The light faded from Aiko's eyes and was instead replaced with horror as she heard Zutao's cries of agony. Just as quickly as her fury came, it ebbed and was replaced instead with bitter pangs of regret. "Zutao-kun!" she cried , her face pale with the realization that she had just struck one she knew deep in her heart that she cared for. With that she raced to and gently gathered him in her arms, trying to hold back her tears. "Zutao-kun" she whispered. "Gomenasai...gomenasai." she choked out. She no longer cared that Kuroda and Cora were present, nor that the weakness she showed at this moment was the ultimate disgrace for one such as she. She knew that if Zutao survived he would probably despise her-one for attacking him the other for the weakness she displayed now. A sinister voice rose in her mind, one that she knew she would never be truly able to silence. You are monster. it whispered to her. And now a traitor to your clan. You don't deserve to live, nor do you deserve the privilege of ever regaining your lost honor.
