Lol. LotR, I'm sad to say, hasn't even been in my top ten for a few years now. Sometimes I get the feeling that people feel required to include it because we're on a LotR forum.
In no particular order:
Fight Club
The Rules of Attraction
Donnie Darko
American Psycho
Cowboy Bebop: The Movie

Lol, well personally I feel it makes more sense for people to include LOTR in their top 5 films.... LOTR forum and all that... I don't think people feel obliged to put it in their top ten.. just most who join a LOTR forum, tend to hold it in high esteem, whereas for others, it has either never been that highly esteemed and they joined for other reasons or it has been replaced by other stuff.
Hmmm... this is going to be extremely hard for me. Apart from LOTR as my number one favourite film of all time... I haven't a clue about the other 4. I have seen too many films from all genres for me to be able to pinpoint my top 4 without causing myself much taxing of the brain... and as I am already feeling rather flooped and tired at the moment, I'd rather not do that right now.

1. The Dark Crystal — absolutely my most favorite movie when growing up; I still love it! Surprised no one's mentioned it yet.
2. Hero (Ying Xiong) — it's more visual poetry set to music than a movie: awesome!
3. V for Vendetta
4. The Matrix trilogy
5. The Rocky Horror Picture Show (heh heh heh ...)
I was thinking about including Idiocracy (probably the funniest movie I've ever seen) but decided against it

1. ..::Lord of the Rings Trilogy::.. (heavenly chorus while reading)
(And in no particular order afterwards)
2. Resident Evil Trilogy - sweet action fights!
3. 300 - I love David Wenham and for sweet action fights!
4. Van Helsing - Again, I love David Wenham, and it's just so freaking funny!
5. The Matrix - sweet action fights!
6. V for Vendetta - sweet action fights!
As you can see, I like me a good action fight.

I agree, because although there are many fans of the movies, I don't think it be a requirement, as in I could leave out LOTR, though I think some people would think that it's already a given.
