British TV hates me. My favourite show EVER, combining my love of WWII and detetctive-ness. 4 epsiodes a year at 2 hours each, each series covering pretty much every 3-4 months in the year, then the next series carries on with the year and starts a new one etc. So basically all the months of the war years, yay-ness! But from series 4 what did they do? Only 2 epsiodes a year, and as such there's about 2 years missing. And what did they further do? Series 6, all THREE epsiodes is to be the last series ever. And topping that it turns out teh did Foyle has been retired a year. WHA?! And we've missed a year in the life of everyone's favourite wartime detective. I am not happy.
And why is all this eh? Why is the writer and creator denying the millions of fans the pleasure of watching Foyle's War? Because he has the lights of Hollywood in his eyes... even though his kids books were turned into the film Stormbreaker which was one of the worst films released that year.
Grr. So now I have seen one of the three last ever episodes... I am drowning my sorrows by watching all the series' again.
awww, sounds like a good show. So I shall give you a batch of freshly baked cookies, a juice box and some tape.

I reckon you might like it Darky. It's not quite Band of Brothers but it's good to see a different account of what people had to go through during the war.
Foyle's War: A Lesson in Murder Sense and Sensibility <<< That was the longest hour ever.... soooo slow.... I'm sure that could have been a much more better adaptation

You should do, I know it is out to buy in America, so maybe you can rent it. There are lots of murders and it really gives you some idea of all the behind-the-scenes power that went on, that no-one really knew about, as it was all hush-hush.
