					| I just want to say this was probably the toughest contest I've ever judged. Hands down. ALL these entries are AMAZING pieces of work. I personally love photography -- I have for as long as I can remember. I WOULD have entered this contest, but I'm with Meldawen in saying we have no flowers this time of year in Montana - save in like grocery stores. Photography as art has always been something I've been interested in; and seeing these photographs makes me happy knowing that there are many other people who take it seriously enough to take such artistic pictures. BRAVO TO ALL. 1st Place: Entry #11 - I really love the colour contrast on this one. And the idea of such bright flowers growing out of dark, rocks. It really catches your eye. The space of the picture has nothing unwanted or unneeded. You also seemed to be very aware of the lighting, which really helped bring out the contrast between the light flowers and dark rock. And it was very well focused. BRAVO!
2nd Place: Entry #12 - This is an amazing photo. The fact the you were able to catch a BUTTERFLY is a testament to your talent. The fact that you were able to keep it FOCUSED and keep the lighting is phenomenal. The only reason this is second place (believe me -- uber struggle between 1st and 2nd place) is because I don't really like the flower. XD I know that's a petty thing...but its the truth. However, I like the idea of such a harsh looking flower with a soft, delicate creature. Wonderful! 3rd Place: Entry #7 - What I love SO much about this photo is the COLOUR! Such a splash of bright, WARM colours! The sunlight coming in through the windows and illuminating those flowers is just beautiful. VERY good job. 4th Place: Entry # 6 - The bright colours are simply amazing. You really captured all the colour and light you needed to make me feel like I was actually there.
Honourable Mention: Entry #2 - Again, the colour is very nice. And the angle is great too!
GAH. *headdesk* FIN! Ya'll did very well, and I honestly spent a ridiculous amount of time making my choices. Good luck!!_________________"So what? So plenty!"

					| My goodness, JF, you were not kidding on how hard it is to choose!
1st Place: Entry 11- I LOVE this one. (Well, I voted you for first, so that might explain something.
) Anyhoo, just the simplicity of the picture makes it stunning, and the white, pure flowers among the rocks...brilliant.
2nd Place: Entry 7- I really like this one too. I love how the flowers reflect in the window and how you captured it. Great job.

3rd Place: Entry 8- I like it how you choose to capture a different side of flowers, more of the ending cycle of life than the blooming one. And the angle is bloody brilliant!

4th Place: Entry 12-HOW did you manage to capture a butterfly? That must take extreme talent! Kuddos to you!

Honourable Mention: Entry 14- I like it how you don't have the entire flower, just the edge and the angle of the shot makes it look complete, even though it isn't.

 Great job, everyone!
