Vari caught the distressed look on Carmon’s face and supplied one of her own. Now she was getting angry. “Jack! Jack's eyes went up, going cross eyed as he stared at the pistol now aimed towards his forehead. He opened his mouth,"On one condition. Promise me you won't leave me there in that God-forsaken place, because I am not staying there. Savvy?" Jack frowned at Vari and then grinned flirtatiously at Carmon,"You get your way love, We shall go to World's End."

(I know!! Kayala's in love with him and is upset because he won't return her affections if she tells him! It's so sad!)
Kayala gazed at the men, longing to step in and talk. She had not met someone nice since Edward and James. I feel terrible...I don't know what to do...All I can do now is hope they can get along and get along well... she thought. Kayala dropped to her knees, still looking up at the sky with another sigh, My God...let us all get out of here soon.

Alex felt a twinge of jealousy at the look Jack gave Carmon. She lowered her pistol and made her way back to the boat. "Pirates," she muttered darkly, joining Elizabeth.

Vari glared right back at Alex as the other girl walked away. If anyone was going to be shot, it sure wasn’t going to be Vari… Now satisfied, Vari placed her pistol back in its resting place at her side. Smirking, she turned back to Carmon. “Ye see? Just a bit of negotiatin’ can get ye anywhere… An’ besides, Jack is fun to torture.” With a wry smile, she started heading back towards the ship, following Jack and Alex.

Edward shook James’s hand with a brief smile. “Aye. If we’re going to get out of this place, we’ll need to work together. An’ I’m sure things will go much better if Kayala promises not to break my nose or any other part of my body.” He glanced half-seriously half-jokingly in her direction.

Richard looked entertained by Beckett’s response. “Interestin’, since I remember you… and my fiancée too. Although, I’m sure ye know just how Varianna can get when ye tick her off.” He waited for a few minutes to see if yet Beckett had realized just who he was. “Ringin’ any bells, Lord Beckett? Funny, since I never got to hear any. Ye’re the reason I never got to marry the woman I loved… have children or be happy for the rest of my bloody life!” Rich felt a surge of emotions passing over him; memories of Vari made him smile, but at the same time, memories of that fateful night made anger boil deep inside.

Alex kept her pistol in hand in case she had need of it in a hurry as she continued towards the boats, her senses at their peak.

Kayala looked up at the two men. She grinned at Edward,"I promise, my friend." The girl then looked at James,"Is everything alright now? Are we getting along fine?"

She returned the smile. "Yes, I'm fine." As the words left her mouth, she stumbled as the sand beneath her feet shifted and she fell into Jack. She gasped, a blush turning her cheeks crimson.

For a minute Carmon was tense as the two women stood with their guns drawn. She glared at Alex and waited, breathless, for something to happen or someone to say something. Carmon let out a sigh of relief and nodded at Jack with a smile. "we won't leave you there," she paused and slightly blushed, "thank you." she turned and ran to catch up with Vari. She grinned at her friend and nodded in response. "Captain Sparrow is a good man deep down."

"Right." Inside James was pleased with himself and his decision. He was happy he had swallowed his pride and apologized to the pirate. It was something Elizabeth would've wanted him to do, but not only that, it was the side he had chosen to help. It was something he knew was right. In this land there weren't law-breakers and law-abiders there were men and women, on the same level, who just wanted freedom and to belong to the real world. And this Edward wasn't as bad as James had thought he was. A crooked smile lighted on his face at hearing Edward. "you'll..." he stopped when he noticed how distressed Kayala appeared. He went over to her, "we'll get along fine. How are you?"

Lord Beckett seemed to be deep in thought as he listened to Rich. He bit his lower lip and turned a quick glance at the man and studied him again. It didn't surprise him that someone would remember him, after all, everyone did, but he still wasn't quite sure of this man. "Varianna?" he seemed to think over the name, then it dawned on him, "Varianna... Pierce?" he was quiet and thoughts rushed through his head, he was quick, however to shove them away. "I am deeply sorry to hear that. But, unfortunately, that is the way of piracy. It's a crime and for every crime there is a punishment." it came out with no regret or emotion, just like a machine.
Cole remained where he was and watched and listened. When he heard Richard's story his heart went out to the poor man. But something nagged in his mind, something wasn't right. If it was the same Varianna he knew then wasn't his friend, Edward, engaged to her? Cole had known Vari and Ed for a while and they had never mentioned a Richard or anything like that. He furrowed his brow and thought it over; he would have to ask Richard about this later. For now, he stayed quiet and watched the two men.
(is it ok if I at least have Beckett remember Keykey, Ara? And remember how he hurt her and all that (even if that hasn't happened yet in our other RPs  ))

"Aye, he is a good man sometimes; just one that's a bit daft is all." Vari replied over her shoulder, making her way across the deck of the Pearl. Vari scurried up the rigging and hung in the ropes for a few minutes, looking over the ocean. "I want the best view when we get to World's End," she called down to Carmon. "So that I can be the first to see for miles."

Edward nodded at Kayala. "Well, we aren't gettin' anywhere by just standin' here, are we? Come on." He motioned for the other two to follow him, even though he inwardly admitted that he had no idea where he was going. He strayed away from the rolling tides a bit, but kept his gaze toward the ocean as if something was just going to appear there. Keep a weather eye on the horizon...

Richard nodded scornfully. "Then what crimes did ye commit I wonder that got ye this punishment? I thought ye were a good, upstanding man." He said the last part mockingly, but also with some curiousity. If Lord Cutler Beckett, head of the East India Company only did good, what sort of things earned him eternity in the Locker?

Miles out to sea surrounded by an endless expanse of ocean was a small island covered with thick palm tree forests; seemingly lifeless. However, contrary to popular belief, this little island was a lucrative trading post with some of the friendliest people in the Caribbean. The traders on Isla Tratante specialized in spices and handcrafted jewelry, and never a day went by that there were no customers to please. Unfortunately for the crew of the Silver Gypsy, captained by Joanna Morgan, they had become shipwrecked here a few weeks ago. With no way off since then, the crew decided that perhaps it wasn't such a bad idea to stay here and enjoy a simpler life. The only guideline the people followed here were those of making the most of what had been given to them and the crew had been quick to adapt that, as well as the custom that everyone on Isla Tratante would wear white day in and day out.
Keyara Pierce sat on the beach, letting the tide splash against her weary feet. She had long grown tired of stringing beads endlessly and keeping track of the profits they had made. Sometimes sitting alone like this for a while was the most relaxing thing Keyara could think of. Watching a bird fly past the sun, her mind began to drift back to the days when she hadn't given into the ways of piracy. Back then she hadn't been like her sister Varianna - she hadn't been a pirate and she wasn't unhappy. In fact, there had only been one person that was able to make her feel like she fit, and that was...
But he had betrayed her so cruelly, how could she still feel like this about him? Maybe his death had brought pity for Keyara, but that had been so long ago. Perhaps old feelings do die hard, she mused silently.

Alex smiled lightly. "I'm alright, yes. Thank you. Maybe a little less rum in the future." She met Jack's dark eyes, her heart rate increasing slightly.

around,"Where exactly are we going though?"

James returned Kayala's smile, but he remained quiet. A pang of sadness hit him when he heard her address him as 'James'. He hadn't heard anyone call him that since, since Elizabeth. He looked down at the sand and yet again he could almost feel her presence there with him, thankfully she wasn't there though. He would never wish this on anyone. Never. Let alone her. He looked back at Edward and nodded, he walked back over to the other man and waited to see where he or Kayala would go. When he heard her he shrugged his shoulders, "where is there to go? Into the water? It seems like there would be something somewhere. A raft, a boat, something." he looked over at Edward and wondered what he might think up. He was a pirate, after all, and they were always finding ways out of things so he should be good at this.

Carmon followed the other woman onto the deck of the Pearl and watched as she amply climbed up the rigging. She shaded her eyes with her hand and looked up. "aye," she had to look down to avoid the sun's intense glare. "if only I wasn't so afraid of heights," she mumbled to herself. She wished she was as good on ships and in the rigging as Vari or Edward or even Cole, but she wasn't. She didn't get seasick, but she didn't like the heights at all.

Lord Beckett scowled at the pirate, but out of all the annoyances this pirate was stirring up at least Beckett was starting to remember who he was. There was only one man who could be quite like this. Ugh, he thought, I should've known who this was from the start. But that was so long ago.... why can I never just be rid of these pirates? They seem to come from everywhere even when they're suppose to be dead. And the ones that come back are all the kind you never want to see again too. But you shouldn't be surprised to see him here, he is and was a pirate and pirates are the only ones who end up in the Loc... he suddenly stopped his thoughts. He was in the Locker, wasn't he? And he wasn't a pirate at all! He was begining to get more and more frustraited with himself, this pirate and this place. He needed to think somewhere quiet. Not here. After this short pause, he addressed Richard again, "I was... or am, of course. Why do you think it takes a crime to end up here?" he peered over at Richard.
(no Cole this time, ok? I mean he's only listening in on them and discovering things he never knew about Beckett and about Vari and the rest.  )

Ooook, Keykey!  that was an amazing intro, Ara! Wow! I loved it! And I feel so sorry for poor Keykey… it seems like her and Becky’s lives are falling apart all over the place! btw, I have a question about the past I made up for Beckett (you know the one, right?) and if he would tell Key about it or not?

Edward looked up suddenly. He had become so engrossed in his own thoughts that he didn't hear much of anything James had said to him. "I... I don't know. But if we can get in the locker, there's got to be some way out." Edward looked around the empty beach before spying some ship remains and pieces of wood. "Unless we build a raft..."

Vari looked down at Carmon, cocking her head to the side. "Somethin' wrong, mate?" She noticed that her friend looked a bit distressed and decided to climb back down to her. "Look, I know ye're not exactly... well, ship savvy, but once this is all over we'll be back on dry land." Vari looked Carmon over carefully and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Well ye said it yerself, Lord Beckett. This is a place of punishment so in order to be 'ere, ye would've had to do somethin' wrong." Richard eyed him carefully - he couldn't trust the backstabbing liar, although the feeling was most likely mutual. "Ye don't get put 'ere for no reason. An' if ye aren't going to tell me now, well, we've got all eternity for me to annoy the bloody h*ll out of you, don't we?" At this he smirked evilly and folded his arms.
