OOC: Oh...I was waiting for you to post, Phoenix.  I'll guess I'll post then.
IC: "Looks like you were right," Seamus said to Giada, "thirty seconds to dust off." He looked at the other marine that was accompaning them (I assume that it is a four man team), looking him over. He looked to be the standard marine: good with guns, strong, but not all that smart. But appearances could be decieving, and they more often were. You could just take Seamus at face value; see him as a guy who didn't care for the rules, who thought he knew best, and overall a very shallow person. Well the disregard for the rules was true, but more often than not he knew that he didn't know everything and was infact a good depth of character.
Seamus tore himself away from those thoughts as he looked at his watch again. "Fifteen seconds."

"She's broken my record," Giada said turning to face Seamus. "If I remember correctly you broke me of that habit with some severe punishment. Where did you come up with the idea to have me eat wasabi anyway?" Giada laughed turning back around. While one of her more painful memories it did have some humor in it. Remember all the names she'd called Seamus was one of those memories.
Ok, she had everything ready. Now if Vala would show.....

Vala come running towards them, her pigtails flailing behind her wildly.
"Told you...I'd make it" she puffed, trying to catch her breath. Still managing to grin at them both.

Vala skidded into the ship just in time. "Told you I'd make it" were the first words out of her mouth.
"Yeah, by the skin you your teeth," Seamus said dryly. He turned to the Major. "Take us out."

Giada flew the jumper out of the Daedalus and towards the planet cloaking the ship instantly. Once close enough she started scanning for a place to land. Hmmmm, that spot looked good. Giada landed the craft and jumped up. "Ready Sir!"

She paused waiting for reactions from either Giada or Harper. They seemed so tense, she thought to herself "You'd put Teal'c to shame"

"The plan...the plan... The plan is to infiltrate the Genii base, kill Genii we encounter if we must, and get the Atlantis team out. Simple as that," Harper screwed a silencer onto the muzzle of his P90. Then he slid the slide back far enough see if there was a bullet inside the chamber. There wasn't, so Seamus slid the slide all the way back, chambering a 5.7mm full metal jacket round. He flicked the laser pointer on the side on and looked down the sight to see if they were alligned properly.
They were, so Harper switched off the laser, looked around at the rest, "Silencers on, lock and load. Giada, take point, James (other marine(I'm going to kill him off if you don't mind, Valera) and Vala in the middle, I'll take the rear."

"Yes Sir," Giada opened the jummper door and looked out. One good thing about the cloak, no one sees you come in. "All clear for the moment," she said back to the group.
Giada mentally shook herself. Rescue missions made her tense. Before she had been with Harper's team she'd been on a team back in the states. They'd gone on a rescue mission and ended up needing to be rescued themselves. Giada shook herself again. Not a time for a walk down memory lain. Focus on the mission on hand and not on the missions past.
Suddenly she stopped and motion for Harper to some to where she was. She just remember something about the Genii. "Sir, the Genii base and prisons are under ground. Got any ideas?"

In response to Giada's question, Harper pulled a scanner out of one of his breast pockets and tossed it to Vala. "Follow the power," he said. "Vala, you navigate. Major, keep an eye out for enemies."
He fell back to his place in line, assuming Vala would know how to use the scanner and would be able to guide Giada and the team to the base.

Vala deftly caught the scanner, and looked down at it. She motioned them to stop with her left hand.
"Wait, let me get my bearings with this thing" she said in a low voice.
"What particular signal am I looking for?" she looked up at Harper, with a questioning look.

Harper looked at her and sighed, he had assumed that she would know. "Look for the biggest power source, that should point in the direction of their base. If it doesn't, we've eliminated that signature, so move on to the second strongest one and so on."

Vala looked back at him "I know how to work it you know. I just needed to know exactly what I was looking for" she began walking with it, turning her head away from Harper.
"You don't like me much, do you" she said, turning her head back towards him with a smile.

"Vala," Giada interjected stifling a laugh, "what way are we going?" Once she stopped trying to laugh she looked back at Vala with a questioning glance. Maybe that would prompt a quick and clear response.
She turned her gaze back at the line of trees. There could be people hiding in there that she couldn't see. That thought made her uneasy.
