Amanda smiled back, still sad, but now feeling more comfortable. "Thank...thank you, Claire" she whispered as she slowly stood up again. "I...I'll lay down for a bit now...I don't know...I'm not feeling well." She followed Claire to the place where Sawyer and a few of the others were sitting and put off her jacket for the first time. She looked down at her. She wished she could take on fresh clothes, to throw these torn and blood-covered rags away, but she brought no luggage on the plane. Everything she had was on her body. She laid her jacket into the sand to have something to lay her head on and took the blanket Jack had given her the day before. She laid down and covered herself with the blanket, trying to get some sleep. Her wounds still hurt like crazy, she was dizzy and her head hurt. She felt tired and awake at the same time. For a short time she thought she should better go and let herself check, but then, she fell into a light and restless sleep.

Jack finally reached the cockpit and settled on the right chair next to the pilot who was seemingly dead. "Where are you..?" he mumbled while he started the search the small room for the transceiver. "Kate?" he called down below after a moment when he didn't hear anything but the rain. "Are you alright?"

"You're welcome" Claire said to Amanda, while the girl sat down and covered herself with a blanket. Claire walked until she reached Sawyer again "Maybe I should deal with the situation in another way.."she said to him "and maybe that's not my bag. But anyway, I just want to ask you something. Have you seen a small, blue notebook? Like...like a diary..."

After a short time, Amanda woke up again. She felt weak and tired. She wanted to sit up, but she fell back again. She was feeling a stinging sharp pain in her side. She knew she needed something for disinfection, but she didn't know where she could take it from, nor did she knew how to ask for it. She had still difficulties to say a few words. Suddenly, she remembered this guy Claire had called Sawyer. She had seen him taking something from an Emergency kit but she didn't know what it was. She slowly came over to him, holding her side. "Sawyer? You...are called Sawyer? Please...you have disinfection?" She pointed to her side as he looked up, not seeming to be very interested. "You have disinfection...for wounds? Sawyer?"

Sawyer looked up to the two ladies and sighed. "Sweethearts, is there a sign pointing over here saying "supermarket"? Hell does it look like I'm collecting blue notebooks?" He made a funny face and continued: "Ain't the doctor have the meds? Go and ask him. He's the hero.."

"No please...Sawyer..." Amanda tried again as Sawyer turned away from her again. "You have...desinfection...I know. Please I need it...please...it hurts...so much...please Sawyer...give me desinfection." She looked at him, he looked like he was really annoyed now, but she stayed. She needed medication, she knew this. She pressed her hands against the wound by her side and got scared as she saw blood on her hands. All she could think of was her baby. She couldn't lose it, not again. She stared at Sawyer, shocked and pleading now. "Please...get somebody...the doctor...please..." Then she fell into the sand and everything around her got black.

"oh my God" Claire said, seeing Amanda collapsing. "She's hurt! Where's Jack?" she asked to Sawyer, kneeling to try to stop the blood from Amanda's wound.

Sawyer groaned frustrated when Amanda kept whining about the medicine. When she suddenly collapsed he jumped on his feet eventhough he wasn't panicked. "How the hell should I know? That doc is on a little adventure with that chick and Jiminy Cricket." He looked at Claire his face showing no sarcasm or wit this time. "She needs some bandage, no disinfection.. come on get some Big Mamma."

Amanda went out of unconcious again and opened her eyes. She saw Sawyer and Claire by her side. Claire was pressing one hand against her wound and even the smile on Sawyers face had faded. And suddenly, they were gone again. Instead of them, Eric was by her side now, holding her hand. "I'm with you" he whispered. "I won't let anything happen to you or to the baby. I'm protecting you, wherever you are. Don't give up, Amanda. Don't give up." Amanda stared up into the air and smiled weakly. She turned her face to Eric, not realizing she was looking at Sawyer and Claire. "Thank you, Eric" she said. "Stay with me. I'm scared. I'm scared of losing our baby..." "I will watch you. I'm with you, Amanda." Amanda smiled again. "Eric..." she said, as she saw him fading away. "Goodbye, Amanda." "No! Eric!!!" Amanda started screaming. "Don't leave me! Don't leave!!! I need you! Stay with me! Stay with me, Eric!!!"

"I'm here." Kate pulled herself up into the cockpit, bracing against the steep slant. She was feeling shaken from seeing the bodies in the plane, but tried to hide her fear. "Have you found it?"

(yeah sorry, I had an heavy week )

When Amanda started screaming, Claire almost started screaming with her. She was somehwere in the middle of the ocean, on a desert island, 8 months pregnant, with a hand on the wound of another pregnant woman that just started screaming about some guy named Eric. Claire wasn't sure she could stand that.
"Go call someone!" she yelled to Sawyer "Do something instead of staying here watching!!"

Sawyer looked up at Claire. "Hell, I told you, the doc ain't here."He quickly took the blanket Jack had given Amanda and grabbed his pocketknife and sliced the blanket in strips and bound her wounds with it. "Now just keep pressing darlin'" he told Claire and left. Irritated that he was nursing pregnant women now, Sawyer washed the blood off his hands in the sea and grabbed a bottle of water. He took a few sips. Why didn't that bloody doctor return?

"Not yet" Jack answered. "Are you okay?" he repeated. She looked shaken, not terrified.. but Jack thought she looked even more beautiful than earlier. He searched a few cabinets but then he spotted the device he was looking for on the seat behind the pilot's. "Got it.."
