She was silent for a moment as she an image of what it might look like flashed across her mind. "And...you're willing to go back?" More respect and affection for him shone in her eyes. He's willing to return to the place that he hates for the sake of helping Carmon...

Jack nodded,"Of course. Carmon needs help getting someone back, so I go for her and the persons she loves sake." He then picked up his hat and started brushing off the invisible dust from it.

Alex leaned against his desk and watched him brushing off his hat. "How much farther is the journey?" she inquired, taking the hat from him. She withdrew a hankerchief from her pocket and wiped off what few stains there were on it before handing it back to him.

Jack shrugged, taking back his hat,"To be honest love. I don't know. You're going to have to ask Barbossa about that. He's got the charts." He put his hat back on and walked out the door onto the deck.

(ummm, guys, Nienna and Millie, I don't want to be rude or anything! but maybe could you slow it down just a little... I don't want you to get too far ahead  thanks!)
At their coaxing, James stopped. He smiled sadly at Kayala. She just didn’t know, and she couldn’t be expected to either. “No, of course you didn’t say anything wrong. And,” he said turning to Edward, “I never intended on going that far or leaving anyone behind." inwardly he wished they wouldn't ask so many questions, he was just fine. There was nothing wrong, well, nothing much. Couldn't he walk a few paces away without getting bombarded with questions?

Carmon thought over Vari's words for a few minutes. The Locker, how she wanted to be there right now. She hoped her brother was alright and they would be able to find him. She had no idea what to expect in the World beyond this one. She sighed and drummed her hands against the rail. "I know it does." Carms tried to smile over at Vari, but failed. "That's what Cole always said too. 'Everything happens for a reason.' yes, I heard that more than once," she said, reflectively.

What Richard said caught Cole's interest, "really?" he looked back at the open water with a thoughtful look on his face. "but how long have you been here? surely you would've found it by now?" he watch and waited to see what the other man would say, but before he got his reply he remembered something. "what was that you were telling the Lord Beckett? About him killing you? And about Vari? Varianna Pierce?"

Lotty nodded and waited and watched as Joanna left her and walked away to another woman she had not noticed before.
Charlotte's thoughts abruptly stopped as the other woman approached. She had seen her before! She blinked and stared. Memories of her own came back to her suddenly. She had not been there for the Last Stand of the pirates, but she had heard about it and she had heard about Lord Beckett's defeat and ultimate death. She had mixed feelings on that note, but she quickly tried to wipe them away, it wasn't worth getting worked up about it, was it? There was a part of her that was still mourning though. "Hello, Ms. Pierce," she finally said to Keyara.
(Oh, I know! It's gonna be great!  )

Lord Beckett finally stopped his endless trek. He stood, panting in the sun's heat for a few minutes before collapsing onto the sand. He sat there. There was nothing more to do, was there? He could walk for days and days and see nothing other than sand and the occasional sand crab. His mind started wandering away despite his firm will. He started remembering his old life in the Real World and his ship and his company and his... his... her. Here he tried to stop himself, but at this point it was almost easier to let his mind go. No, he couldn't. He wouldn't. She had only been a tool, anyway. Someone to use and get what you want then dispose. That was the plan from the start, wasn't it?

Alex blushed crimson. She pondered Jack's words for a moment. She had reason to trust Elizabeth. It was uncharacteristic of her to trust so freely after knowing a person for so short a time, but something about Elizabeth made Alex sure that she was right to trust her. "He...I..." She glanced around to ensure that no one was within a close enough range to hear her. She sighed, frustrated by her clumsy tongue. She glanced at Jack, emotion swelling within her as she did so.

Edward nodded in agreement with Kayala, but he still caught the saddened expression that passed over the ex-commodore’s face. “If ye need to think things over, mate…” he placed a hand on James’ shoulder and looked him in the eyes. “We’re only tryin’ to help.”

Vari nodded slowly. “And it won’t be the last time you’ll hear it either. I promise we’ll get him back.” She could feel that old sense of adventure returning within her and found herself quite impatient now. If only we could get there faster.

Richard laid down alongside Cole and propped himself up on his elbows. It looked as if they were going to be here for quite a while, so why not get caught up in old memories to pass the time? “It was a ten years ago.. I joined the crew of the Phoenix, captained by Varianna Pierce. I was her first mate… and we were in love, engaged to be married. But the on the eve of the 26th of March we encountered the Endeavour and he killed me. Vari and I-- we never got the chance to marry.” His blue eyes watched the tide roll in and leave a trail of white foam behind. “If we ever get back, I’m proposin’ to her again an’ this time nothin’s getting in the way.”

She didn’t know what to make of this; if she should kill her now or wait to see what would happen. “Ms. Percy.” Keyara bowed her head politely - even though she had strayed from the ‘proper’ ways of living, it didn’t mean she had no manners left after all this time.
Joanna raised an eyebrow. “You two know each other?” She asked incredulously.

James glared at the other two. He didn't mean to glare at them, but he wished they would... well, not leave him alone with his thoughts. That actually scared him to think of being all alone with no one else to talk to, but he wished they wouldn't worry about him so much. "I think I'll be fine." he shrugged off Edward's hand. "now, we should start looking for a way out. There's no point thinking and talking if we don't do something."

Carmon only nodded. She hoped and prayed Vari was right, but still, deep inside, she didn't feel right or quite as confident. She looked over at Vari, nodded, forced a sad smile and walked to the steps and sat down. She stared at the floor for a while, deep in thought.

Cole watched as Richard got down beside him and started relating the story. "Oh," was the only thing he said when Rich finally finished. He wasn't quite sure what to tell the man. He hated to disappoint Richard, after all, hadn't he been through enough over the years? He sighed and picked up a fistful of sand and let it slowly sift through his hand. "Vari's already..." he paused and glanced at the other man, "she's already married."

Charlotte smiled at Joanna and nodded her head, "yes. She's..." she stopped and glanced back over at Keyara. She didn't finish her sentence though, she wasn't sure how to. "I'm not Ms. Percy anymore. It's Mrs. Applegate." she was quiet, deep in thought, before she remembered what she had come there for and what she was still in need of. "the supplies?" she addressed Joanna.

Sitting on the sand, Lord Beckett slowly started to become drowsier and drowsier until he slipped away into a dream. Not the happy kind of dream you never wanted to wake up from, but a nightmare. It was about her and about his life and all of the faces of those he had killed came into this dream. He wished the images would just go away and let him have peace somewhere, if not while awake Locker why not at least in his sleep? Several hours later he suddenly shot up, sweating from the heat and the dream. "ow," he muttered. The sun was starting to burn.

Kayala stopped, listening to James' words. She looked up, listening intently for the sound of ocean and waves lapping againest the beach, hoping to perhaps lead them to where the ocean was, wherever it as.

An unexpected smile flashed across her lips as she realized that she was in fact in love. "Well...I think you can gather what's going on. It's strange for me," she said, forcing the blush that threatened to colour her face from rising and spreading to her cheeks.
