It's okay, at least you still get glimpses of happiness :hug: Try and make them more long-lived, like doing something you enjoy when you're in a good mood or doing something you've been putting off doing - make the most of them!

I wouldn't actually call it happiness. It was just giddiness to me really. I have been trying to keep my mind occupied though.

Bored.com! I just found it! Try it! It will keep you busy for hours. It's kind of wasting time, but if you don't want to try prayer and you are trying to keep your mind occupied with random things get on it. :yes:

To All:

I'm really sorry that I abandoned this club. I've had some busy times since... June it was, and I did not manage to get online. I'm sorry. I've read the last... 30 pages right now (wow that took long!) well, and I now will add all the new members on the list in the first post.

Well, and to refer to a few posts not sooo long ago, please, post in this thread according to the rules. I founded this club so that members can help others with their problems, or that people can come here if they feel the urge to talk. So, don't insult anyone or call him or her names, neither bring up topics that could lead to any conflicts, please. This should be a peaceful thread.

It's okay, Erana.

Okay, so far, I have not cut myself in a month and a half. Although, I am still suffering from depression, I haven't gotten the urge to cut. I have been keeping my mind busy with various things to keep it out of my thoughts. I am still thinking I should get my hands on a self help book for cutters though.

Bow, I've looked at your list, and I have found some things that have been working for me so far.

1) Exercise (Walks a lot of times, give me a chance to think)
2) Writing (I have been trying to work on my fanfics)
3) Cuddling with a stuffed toy (Psh, I need one at my side when I sleep which is actually very sad for a woman my age who feels like they need a stuffed animal near when sleeping)
4) Watching a favorite TV show (my favorite shows are comedies, enough said)
5) Surf the net (I am here everyday, aren't I?)
6) Letting yourself cry (I actually learned how to cry pretty easy...)
7) Play with a pet (I do have three cats, one of them loves me to death and never leaves my side)
8) Reading a good book (I do love reading)
9) Listening to music (I'm almost always listening to music, but the moods of the kind of music vary)
10) Have a vivid fantasy love affair with a celebrity (Not really a celebrity but I think you all know whom it is :P)
11) Talk to yourself (I actually find myself doing that a lot. That and acting things outloud to myself)

It's a little late fot that. Though a lot of scars on my arms are pretty faded, most of my recent cuts were just my legs but now, I will be finding myself wearing long jeans and hardly any beach days this summer if my scars haven't faded enough by then.

Oh, that's so great you haven't cut in so long!!! :hug::hug::hug: I really hope that you carry on with it, it sounds like you're doing great! :hug:

I've decided that my major New Years resolution is to not cut at all this year. Should be tough, but I think I can do it.

Oh for heaven's sakes, it's not that bad as you're making it. Relax, you were doomed to fall sometime in your struggle. And to quote Batman Begins, "Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up again." You can't stop a habit overnight. Rome wasn't built in a day, now was it? Hmmhmm? Just keep trying and refuse to be beaten down. Pick up a creative habit like poetry or drawing or graphic art or just write a story as an outlet for your depressing thoughts.
