I agree with Dark on the Bartemaeus Trilogy :bounce:

I also suggest The Redemption of Althalus by David Eddings (and most of Eddings' stuff), and C.S Lewis' Space Trilogy.

Scarlett by Alexandra Riply is pretty good, it's the sequel to Gone with the Wind.

I'm going to recommend Daughter of Fortune. (It's not fantasy, though). I think the author is Isabel Allende, but I forgot. Anyway, the beginning of the book isn't great, but it picks up at the middle-end. It's the last book I read that I liked; I haven't been reading some good fiction lately . . .

Someone recommended here "The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray" and someone else said the books by the author Vivian Vande Velde. Yeah, both are good.

I'd also recommend "The Kite Runner." :bye2:

"An Emerald Ballad" series by B.J. Hoff is amazing if you like historical fiction of Ireland in the 1840s.

any and all books by Kathleen Morgan, esp. "Child of the Mist" are good. They're Scotland in the 1600s.

"My Hands Came Away red" is absolutely amazing contemporary fiction.

"Legends of the Guradian King" series by Karen Hancock is the best fantasy I've ever read.
