I know that you will have a great time here, as you appear to be already, and I hope to see you around.

Aussie... That explains it :P I know alot of people who live in Australia and that the ONE thing they ALWAYS ask for when I ask to send them parcels  I usually oblige.

10 aussie $ is about 7-8 canadian $ so the difference is not huge. Hm... With the rise of the Canadian currency though... Maybe TT Sir can get a more accurate estimate?

All you lucky bums! I would do anything to have a sibling. Not now because I'm too old, and the relationship would be more aunt-niece/nephew than sibling, but I always wish I had at LEAST one brother. I know that with a sister I would have managed to -cough- drive my parents to insanity if she was anything like I was as a child :teehee: But i cant complain TOO much. When you live with people for seven years they in effect are your brothers and sister.

You don't have Maple Syrup? I never even considered that! Yes, we do have it and it's wonderfully yumy and sticky. Lol Well, Canada says you're welcome, then! Have you been to Canada before? And how many brothers/sisters do you have? I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers. My brothers are way more trouble!

Wow, you come from a family of six children? Awesome! I know a few other families with six children.. (one of them with 5 boys and one girl who is the oldest, the other with 2 girls and 4 boys)
I come from a family of four kids, 3 younger brothers and me (the big sister) :-D Although sometimes I feel like :explode:, :bones: and sometimes even it's like :duel: hahaha, but yeah, we manage.
(About Maple Syrup) Well, the climate and everything is different down here so Maple Syrup is imported - which means its pretty expensive. :'(
For me, (in Melbourne, near the bottom of Australia) A 750mL bottle of Maple Syrup is like around 10 bucks (Sorry, $-AU-10.00) which is like  uh... don't know the equivalent in Canadian Currency.. :duh:
No, I haven't been to Canada unfortunately. I've been to New Zealand though - nice place, and went past the town they call "Hobbiton" (Somebody informed me there was a statue of a hobbit there, sparking curiosity in me - only to discover it is a statue of Smeagol!)

Woops looks like I got carried away typing.

Oh? You're a big sister too? :-D So am I, so I know how you feel. ;) It can be great fun sometimes, and other times you just want to lock yourself in your room and block out all the noise. ;) Although I pity you, I can't imagine being the only girl.
Lucky. You don't have to deal with the Canadian climate. 'Tis cold. But I guess we do get certain benefits, like Maple Syrup. So what's the temperature down there? :) It's about -15 here, at the moment... :erm: Well, "TT Sir " only has an i-net estimate. $-AU-10.00 = 9.21537 CAD. So there's not that much of a difference. But, especially during the winter months, mayple suryp is rather cheap.
Aw. You've been to New Zealand? *ish jealous* That's funny about the Smeagol statue. But at least there was something, right? :teehee:
Nono, you can never get carried away with typing here. :)

:-D Sometimes it's fun with younger brothers, othertimes you just get absolutely sick of them (almost literally!! )
I dunno, I've always thought of having cold weather awesome - well, ok sometimes it's a bit hard, but your body is naturally warm and you can dress warmly and go into warm places etc. etc. but when it's stinking hot your body is naturally warm (VERY uncomfortable) and you can't escape the heat!! Arrrgh! But then again getting out of showers/baths would be very hard in a cold place - you'd just want to stay in! (Am I right?)
I'm planning to save up and buy LotR collectibles/jewelry and also to buy cloaks and stuff I've found on the web - they look awesome! (Would make me feel like a Ranger,) but it's very awkward to wear warm velvet or wool cloaks in a warm climate. That would make cold weather a good excuse to wear cloaks and lovely warm jackets and stuff...

The temperature now? (Summer)
It is... 5:06pm, late afternoon (sun will go down somewhere around 8-9pm in summer) and according to some websites its around 20 degrees right now.

-15??? Wow! Awesome!!!!! Is it snowing? Does it often snow? Is it pure white? Crunchy or soft? (Woops too many questions at once)

My dad said when when I was about 3 months old we were in Japan and he was going to make a snowman, but he kept rolling the body bigger and bigger until it was about his height and too big to put a head on top. So he turned it into a snow-fish. We even have a photo of it somewhere! Massive awesome snowfish!! :-D  If I find it I'll probably put it up so people can see it. :-D

Welcome to the forum, Arya (mind if I call you that? nicknames are always fun after all! :P)!!! :bye2: don't be afraid to pull up a chair, sit down and have some good chats about LotR and beyond! :-D there are plenty (and I mean PLENTY!) of Ringers here (some fun and crazy and some, like me of course ;), fun and sane. but don't let the crazy ones scare you away... undernieth every person is a sane person... but now I'm just rambling). :P Anyway, I'm Calloniel (although people around here mostly just call me PD (tis a long story involving pirates and old usernames :P)) and if you need any help with anything feel free to PM me! :-D I hope to see you around!

Yeah, you can literarly get sick sometimes. :P How much of an age difference is there between your brothers and you?
I've always thought that year long warm weather would be lovely. My body's always cold... No fun. Yeah, getting out of showers/baths is hard. I tend to take extra long ones, and prolong the time spent in the bathroom. :D The bathroom's the warmest room in the house! :P Yeah, wearing cloaks in warm weather is uncomfortable. Lol, my friends and I filmed a home-made lotr movie, with all the actors wearing long cloaks during the summer time, it was so funny. Everyone was sweating, except me, because I was the "director". I was laughing at them all. And they were all glaring at me. :teehee: But you don't generally see many people wearing cloaks here. ;)

Ahhhh, that sounds so lovely. So it's summer now there? When does "winter" come along, and how cold does it get?

Well, it's getting warmer now...-5, maybe. Plus the wind chill. It does snow a lot. lol, snow is pure while when it first falls, but, we live in the city, so it doesn't stay white for long! ;) It gets all grey and slushy. :yuck: But when it first falls it makes quite a pretty picture. :) The white snow covering the trees... on the frozen river. Very pretty. And, of course, my younger siblings love it. They spend all day outside while I stay bundled up inside. I'm not an outdoors person, especially during winter. ;) Depends what kind of snow... Right now it's neither crunchy nor soft. It's sluhy. :erm: Which is the worst kind.

 A snow fish! Cool! Do post a picture of it! But you went to Japan! *ish jealous again* How was that?

Well... I have 3 younger brothers... first one is 3 years younger, 2nd one is 8 years younger, and 3rd one is 10 years younger.
I long for a cloak of my own. (My precious... :-D)

Well, it's near the end of summer... was cool this morning, 13 degrees or so I heard. Cold air... but I suppose for you it's warm! :-D I'd love to have snow.... Snowball-attack everyone standing in my way on the path to glory! Mwahahahaha!

:( Grey and slushy? That doesn't sound too enjoyable. But it sounds lovely in the beginning. :-D

Snowfish.... hmm. I need to find the picture and then either scan it or magically transport it onto the computer. Now where am I gonna get the scanner..... *thinks* will work on it.

Well, about Japan.... you see, I'm half Japanese so I as born there. I look more Aussie though (I think... people at school never guess I'm half Asian, but when I tell them, (some of them) go, "Aaahh, yes I can see it now."
But it's funny cos I'm fairly good at english - was often the top in class in my previous schools. My dad's a translator (linguist) and he speaks Korean, Japanese, and English fluently (he's Aussie, mum's Japanese.) so perhaps I get it from him. :-D

Hello everyone, I thought that I should finally introduce myself. My username is Captain Elizabeth Swann. I guess a good nickname would be CES. As evidenced by the name I am a POTC aholic. :bones: This is my all time favorite trilogy followed closely by LOTR. Hope to be hanging around often.

Oh, hey there, CES! :bye2: another PotC-aholic! Awesomeness! *high fives* PotC is my VERY favorite movie trilogy EVER (Barbossa, Will, Norrington, and Beckett rock!!)... followed by LotR, of course. ;) but, anyway, we've got plenty of things to do around here... PotC-wise and LotR-wise. :-D there's character elimination games for both and clubs and such. Just jump right in. I'm Calloniel (but you can just call me PD... everyone else does. It comes from my old username which was Pirates' Destiny ;)) and if you want to chat or if you need help, I'm only a Private Message away... :-D feel free to send one to me. Trust me, random pms are fun!
I hope to see you around, mate! :pirate:
