Someday I hope... I remember my sister not being able to speak to my grandmother properly because she didn't speak English lol. Thankfully granny and I both knew French :)

Haldir...that is so cool that you know French. Spanish, I believe, should be pretty easy to learn then. I have seen some very similiar structures between the two languages, mainly from both being Latin based. Although, Spanish, I believe, it more widespread than French. For the most part, France is only spoken in France (I know there are a few former colonies of France that speak French, but they are rather minor). However, Spanish is very scattered throughout the world in places such as Brazil, Spain, Mexico, etc.

Bienvenido Haldir (what happened with the rest of your name?)It's such a pity that we haven't any native speakers of Spanish in the club. In fact I believe there are very few native Spanish speakers on A-U. Like you said smeag, Spanish is such a huge and widespread language so all the hispanohablantes tend to join Spanish-speaking sites instead of English. (Just one thing.. they speak Portuguese in Brazil ;-))

Actually, I have come to the point now ehere I am beginning to think in Spanish grammatical structures even writing in other languages. My spoken English is getting worse and when I write something not in Spanish I want to put Spanish phrases and structures all the time...

Man, that is one of the main problems with different languages, but as long as everyone can understand you, it should be fine.

Thanks Ellethwen, actaully I used to speak to myself in Danish (the language spoken in Denmark - NOT the pastry! :-)) or English sometimes in the beginning because Spanish was so overwhelming. I don't really need that anymore, and I get to speak other languages than Spanish too.

Well, It's just that different phrases pop up in my head in places they shouldn't be... I have a decent level of spoken Spanish now, so the problem is actually that people understand too well what I am saying without me having to strain myself to much when speaking - which makes me lazy.. like I don't make an effort to use the Subjuntivo or Futuro correctly...
I'm confusing spelling sometimes... like Communication is comunicación in Spanish and Kommunikation in Danish... oh the joy of being multi-lingual ;-)
