Greetings from a fellow Boromir fan... I know JUST what you mean about crying at the end of FotR... I was half-strangling my 10-year-old nephew going, "He dies? He DIES?!? Nooooooooooo!" My poor nephew protested that it certainly wasn't hisfault Boromir died...
'Nyways, welcome to AU! We're more than glad to have you. (Me especially...since we NEED more Boromir fans about here... heh heh.)
Oh, I'm a history geek too! What's you're favorite time periods? I love the French Revolution and Crusades... bloody periods of history, I know, but they are so fascinating.
OH yes, and besides all that, you can call me FM, pm me anytime (you sound like an amazing person to talk to) and we're obsess over LotR together.

Greetings Fencing Maiden, fellow Boromir Lover and Kindred Spirit
hahah i know! in the cinema when watching FOTR, i was pratically weeping (the slow music and the fact that Boromir got up and kept fighting did NOT help matters) and consequently my family were teasing me for ages at getting so upset lol
Argh i just love Boromir in general, despite his weaknesses, he was a warrior who wanted only to protect his people. There was no doubt that he loved his country deeply and was frustrated, and full of doubt (despite being an acclaimed fighter) about his ability/and Gondor's to repel Mordor's forces from Middle Earth for any longer. And this despair i think, did not help his will resist the wing.
*ends rant*
Oooh yay a fellow history lover i love (as am a Londoner ) The Tudor Times, i adored studying WWII and the Holocaust (as sad as it was) and things like Pearl Harbourl *& Hiroshima...i find it as like a big story and really interesting and fascinating to learn how our leaders of the past goverened us (geeky me? lol)
I also loved studying the egyptians when i was in yr 4 of my primary school (4th grade ) and as a surpise when i was 8 and my parents were still together, they took me to cyprus and then on a cruise to egypt where i saw the pyramids and saw the Cairo museum with Tutukarmen's mask and sarcophagus etc.
haha and yeah also things like the Plague, the Roaring Twenties and wall Street Crash (USA) and stuff.
I havnt learnt about the Crusades, what were they about? *mental note to go look it up*
woop woop More Boromir fans yaaaay *waves her Boromir fan club flag* We're loud. we're proud, get used to it! LOL>
And yay i will do you sound like someone i could have (and am having) great convos with
ANd yes it is FUN (with a capital F) to obsess over lotr with a fellow obsesser
You take care, and i will be talking to you soooooon i hope
yay, thanks for the welcome btw

Greetings and back BAL! It's great to have you with us! Yes, Boromir is such a great character and I thought Sean Bean did an awesome job in the role. Hope to chat with you sometime. See you around!

teehee thank you
I know! i think orginially it was a guy called Stuart Townsend but it turned out, he looked a bit too young to play Aragorn (not that Viggo looks old !)
What a good decision by PJ though! it seems as though Viggo was born to play the part - he literally WAS Aragorn if you get me ; P
W00t! *high fives*
How are you my dear ?
