"Caught yor eye, did you say?" Amaran grinned. "I make it a habit to not catch the eye, so if I caught yours it must mean that I'm destined to go." He released his pent up breath and sighed slightly. That was a lot less akward than it could have been.

"Dax, a pleasure. I am Eavan." She told the woman, hoping that going into detail about her quest would not scare her off, or cause Eavan herself to be in danger. If her brother's life wasn't in so much peril she would have got to know the strangers before revealing everything; alas, that was not so. Her brothers days were numbered, the clock was ticking, so she had to risk her own life and tell all about herself and quest and trust her own skills in battle if harm was meant to her from others who wished her dead. Eavan blushed to what the man said, but said calmly,
"You must be then, or I must have a very good eye."
She paused for a moment and then said,
"My quest is no fools quest. I myself would not go on it if my kins life were not in danger." She began, knowing that anyone would be hooked in with such an opening statement. She began to reveal and retell everything she told Tristan, finally ending with,
"...and the reason any of this matters or protains to me is because I am like my inprisioned captive brother. My blood is like his, as it is value. I am different. I am one of the last Wolfven." She ended, in a whisper.
((Sorry, I don't want to type the explanation again. ))

Tristan let the soft tones of the music guide his thoughts. For a few moments he was far away in his own world of thoughts: unreachable, invulnerable. Then Vondell started to sing in a tounge unknown to Tristan. He wondered how it was to be raised in a society of art like Vondell was. Learning how to read and write music, play ancient tunes and rare instruments, viewing the world from a different, perhaps artistic scope. Whereas he had always been the one, the eldest, to help his parents bring in the harvest in time instead of going to school. The wild songs of horrible victories and the monotone drums of war were still clear in his mind. But therefore he listened carefully to Vondell's music, absorbing every word and syllable eventhough he didn't understand them.
After the bard had finished Tristan smiled. It had been a beautiful, the ancient song and Tristan remarked: "I hope you are willing to tell the complete story about this song one day.." The inn had almost emptied now, sometimes with the help of the barkeeper, as the morning approached. "I think I should ask the innkeeper about a spare room before he's too irritated by the late hour and refuses me." He looked at Vondell. "Are you sleeping here as well?"

Vondell finnished the song, and paused for a moment in thought, like he always did when he finnished such a song.
"Willing indeed I may be some day, but it is a long sad story," he replied to Tristan. "I am sleeping here. I play at Inns for exchange for a free room and some food. Now might be the right time for asking for a room, I think, while the Inn-keeper is only cleaning cups at the moment."

Tristan nodded. "I shall. Thank you for your music. Perhaps now is the right time to ask the lady about her motives?" His hand searched his cane and Tristan made his way to the bar. He tapped with hand on the the wood of the bar to draw the attention of the innkeeper who was probably busy with something useless. The man grumbled and shuffled over to Tristan.
"Yes?" he asked sheer.
"I'm looking for a room. Do you still have some room left?" The barkeeper narrowed his eyes and glanced at Tristan. Then he replied careless, already walking back to his glasses "We're full, you'll find no room anywhere at this hour."
Tristan sighed and took three silver coins, hexagon-shaped, from his purse and put them on the counter. The soft tinkling of the metal made the barkeeper turn with a look of greed in his eyes. The took an old book from beneath the counter (on top of it there was written in curly letters: how to brew beer?) and opened. "I.. I forgot.. the largest room is still free. I have to charge you double.. Look, this is the guest list. It's written over here..6 silver coins please" With a sly grin the barkeeper looked at Tristan who stood motionless but then dug his hand in his pocket and showed his leather purse: empty.
"I'll take the room." Tristan answered calm "But only for 3 coins. Nothing more" His face was decisive, his mind set: He would not bend for a fraud.
[I'm just trying to bring Von and Tristan to the rest of the group. ]

After a moment, Von put his harp down again and made his way to the bar. He sat on a stool next to Tristan, between the man and Eaven(and the two she was talking to). Von noticed that the book wasn't actually the log book of the rooms and raised his eyebrows. But he didn't interfere this time, instead he acted uninterested. He wanted to see how Tristan would deal with this himself, and also with his other ear he listened to what Eaven was saying, catching most of the woman's story.
This would be an adventure that would make a wonderful story song indeed. And Von would gladly come along for the adveture, to see how it turns out as much as to save the wolfen...

"Yes, you must have good eyes." Amaran said. He listened to her story, eyes on the ground in respect and pity. As she finished, he lifeted his gaze once again. She was a strong warrior, and he knew she could be trusted to be brave and true. "I am no fool. I will take his quest, if only to end an injustice. My name is Amaran, by the way."

Eavan looked at Araman and smiled. "I thank you." She said, looking into his eyes. His gorgeous eyes. She couldn't help but think. She nodded. "A pleasure to meet you, Araman." She told him before turning to see who had sat beside her a few moments before. "Tristan!" She exclaimed gleefully. "Did this man agree to come and help us? This is Araman and Dax; they've agreed to come as well. Araman, Dax, this is Tristan, a friend who agreed to come about an hour ago." She said, glad introductions were over with.

Von turned when Tristan's name was called and saw that it was the woman with the scar, the wolfen.
"If you mean me when you say 'this man', than yes, I have agreed to help you. I couldn't help but overhear your explanation of the details of your story, my lady. I am bard Vondell, but please call me Von," he said, nodding his head. Just then Nelnya, who had been perched on his shoulder, but hiding behind his head, peeped around. One claw resting on his ear. She chirped inquiringly at Eavan.
"This is Nelnya, my fire lizard. She says... that, you have a dragon friend or a close relative to a dragon, hidden under your cloak?" Von inquired, trying to turn and look at Nelnya to make sure she was right. The gold fire lizard nodded her head and chirped an affirmative...

Eavan blushed slightly.
"Yes, my good sir, I meant you, but, not knowing your name, had no idea what to call you by. But, now I know. I am Eavan and I thank you."
She glanced at the fire lizard and grinned.
"A smart lass of a thing, isn't she? I do. His name is Flame and he is a Youngling, or baby Dragon, only 27 years old."
Flame poped his scaly red head out of Eavan's cloak and climbed out, perched on her shoulder. She stroked his neck gently and added, "We have quite a group, but I am not sure if I should ask the man who is looking for adventure along as well. He was rude, grand thou, but, he could be loyal, it seems. Suggestions?"

Tristan didn't reply to Eavan's remark but waited for the innkeeper's answer. He could almost feel the greedy man's eyes wondering from the coins on the counter to the deep pockets in his dark overcoat, he could almost hear him hesitating whether he had any more money or not.
"I can't have you then." the innkeeper finally replied.
Tristan straightened up and he spoke softly, but in a stern voice which could not but enforce respect. "Sir, I may seem a stranger to this town to you." he whispered and the barkeeper had to lean over to hear his words. "But I can assure you that I'm acquainted with many prosperous, high placed persons here. Perhaps I should ask them to check whether customers are financially injured in this business?"
The innkeeper inhaled sharply and stared into Tristan's grey eyes which frightened him. "Alright, alright three coins it shall be." he rasped and with a quick movement the took the money.
Tristan turned around and sighed: satisfied that things were settled but tired of the everlasting fuss he had to make to be treated the same way like ordinairy people.
"Greetings" he nodded in the direction of Amaran and Dax and grinned at Von: he knew that his ears hadn't deceive him earlier.

"A youngling? Well, he is young for dragonkin," Von replied, then ran a finger through golden locks. "I'm not sure who this man is that you're talking about. Of course, I've been playing in the corner of the tavern all evening. Though, from the sound of the danger of this adventure, I'd say it'd be better to have five or six companions. Any bigger than eight and I'd say theres too many."

Strider smiled slightly. He didn't know what to think of this woman, or her and her blind friend ((no offense, mate!)) roaming the bar and talking to people in hushed voices.
((sorry, I don't have much to post *nudge Tur*))

"The man who was pestering you earlier?" Amaran asked "I don't like him. "Can't keep his nose out of what isn't his. Makes me wonder what else he's gotten himself into" Amaran risked a hasty glance backwards to look at that man. The man's smiling gaze met his. Amaran ducked his head and turned back the his newfound friends.
