Torchwood - Fragments.
Jack in a cape, Ianto with coffee, and a pterodactyl. <3 Have I mentioned how much I love this show?

shroud of turin: material evidence - a documentary on new evidence regarding the turin shroud. absolutely incredible! all the forensic and historic evidence points to it being genuine - for starters, the blood is real, the positions of the bloods stains are consistent with the wounds Jesus sustained (there are blood stains at the wrists and heels, which is consistent with roman crucifiction; but surely if it was a medieval fake, the blood stains would be at the palms and ankles, in line with medieval atristic depictions of the crucifiction), and no one has been able to explain how it could have been faked. the only evidence that goes against that is the carbon-14 test that dated it to the 14th century, but that evidence has been thrown into question - historical records place it in constantinople in the 12th century and jerusalem in the 4th century, meaning the test results must have been wrong; and it seems the results of the carbon dating could have been affected by the conditions in which the shroud was kept - apparently, a 2% carbon monoxide contamination would be enough to account for the discrepancy. so basically, it's entirely possible that it is really the burial cloth of Christ. it's just...mind-blowing.

Doctor Who - The Runaway Bride
"Christmas trees!"
"What about them?"
"They kill!"
Okay, so we pop the DVD into the DVD player. It plays some previews. And then there's the Torchwood trail.
... I really want to know who decided to put clips from "Day One" in the trail. Especially that shot.

More Angel, Season 2. I'm only halfway through it. I never realized how long a season takes to watch.

the last installment of the passion. some mistakes (it should have been roman guards at the tomb, and it wasn't james and philip that met Jesus on the road to emmaus), but i'll let them slide. interesting decision to use different actors when mary magdalene, james and philip first saw Jesus - the Bible says they were prevented from recognising Him at first, until their eyes were opened, so it made sense.
overall, i was very impressed with the series, so well done bbc! joseph mawle's portrayal of Jesus is the best yet - the closest i've seen to the Jesus i see when i read the gospels. i think it was all in his eyes - they were so intense.

More Angel.
Yes. Really.
I'm not kidding.
I know I'm getting tedious. Sorry.
