Tristan listened to Amaran's words and recalled the man's rude introduction earlier. "I share Amaran's opinion. It is true that the man appeares to be rude and nosy yet his decisiveness can be very convenient." He hesitated, although the man showed no civility from the start he didn't want to judge anyone without knowing the man.

((ouch guys, I'm hurt! lol))
Strider realized he was attracting the stares of the other people in the bar. This scared him. He was only seventeen, young and stupid. So stupid he just jumped up and ran out the door. He didn't like attracting attention of elder people whom he had never spoke to.

Strider got outside in the cold air. Once out there he realized that he had no where to go. Glancing back at the inn he sighed. Where else do I have to go? Besides, I'm paying rent for a room in here. So with that thought he turned and circled the building, entering through the back door.
~
Once inside, Strider weaved his way secretly into the darkest corner of the bar. He ordered a mug of ale and payed close attention to the people who had stared at him before.

Eavan sighed.
This was too much for her. Besides, she had a good group right now...but then she would feel guilty. But why? No guilt should she feel...yet she did feel it, a small pang inside her chest. Was that a sign from the gods? Flame looked over at Von and smiled a wide grin, with a large set of full teeth. Eavan stroked the back of Flame's small wings as she said,
"Aye, he was rude....but I have this feeling...I can't explain it. I think maybe we should invite him along. That way, he won't bother me anymore and I can keep an eye on him. Plus, he will probably follow us anyway."

"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." Amaran quoted. "I still don't like the idea, but perhaps it is better, so that we can keep an eye on him." He rubbed his temple, the way he usually did when he was thinking.

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. The words echoed through Tristan's head. Was he an enemy? He had been one.. could one ever turn from enemy into a friend? Years had passed and though he had lived a life in solitude since then, noone seemed to have recognised him or his foreign accent in the earlier days.
Amaran's hostility against the guy was clear, he seemed to have a fighter's spirit but it was still Eavan's decision to make. It was up to her.

Strider watched the group. He overheard the words "watch on him" and "enemies closer". Great, now I am an enemy!!! All I had tried to do was make conversation and try to show my concern for this woman, and instead because a slip in tone she thinks I am rude!!!

Eavan nodded.
"I agree with your logic, Araman. Would you be willing to come out with me to talk with him?" Eavan asked him, not believing her own words. Flame looked at her and rolled his eyes, saying,
Silly girl, not even on the road and already pulling moves.
"Am not!" Eavan countered.

((Sorry for not posting...It was hell week for the drama club play (which, by the way, is tonight. AH!) I basically only had time to eat, sleep, and do school stuff.)
"Alright" Amaran sighed. He slipped off the bar stool, glancing briefly at Strider. He didn't feel quite comfortable about asking this man to acompany them, but the other option, leaving Strider to tail them, was even more unsettling.

Strider felt uneasy as the man and woman came near him. As they approached, he smiled slightly.
"Good night, friends!" He said, looking at the woman, giving her hints that she had hurt him in the "rude" comments.

((Aye, I have been busier than busy! Not to mention AU hasn't been working, so whenever I do actually have a chance to get on, it doesn't work. *heavy sigh* Alas, good luck on your play Nauriel, I am sure it went great!!  ))
Eavan felt her heart light up as he agreed but then she grew serious as she walked with him to the man. She nodded to him, but then shook her head.
"There is nothing pleasant about this evening, sir." She said simply. She paused for a moment, and then asked, "You said you liked - or was looking for, adventure, am I not mistaken?"
