A retcon is basically when a story or character history gets revised to fit new storylines and writers.
Sometimes it works out, other times we get One More Day.
I'm surprised no-one has it online at all. The new Battlestar Galactica was online pretty much straight away. Same with other shows I have to watch online.
Ah well, I'll keep checking. It's bound to show up eventually.
Oh wow, thank you for posting all the links Phoenix. All that is awesome news. I don't know how I feel about Peter/Spidey being recasted though. Tobey Maguire owns the part, IMO. So I hope he returns. I hope Raimi, Dunst, Simmons, Howard, all of them return. But yeah, I could definitely do with two more Spidey films, as long as they are as good as the first three.

As far as it's being said Tobey isn't being recast. It was just an unconfirmed rumour that Sony put to rest. But...if Tobey gets caught up acting and producing Robotech, he may not be able to do both. It's all dependent on how far along Robotech is.
I like Kirsten, I like her a lot. But she's just not how I ever envisioned MJ to be. I have no problems with recastings if they have no other choice. But the original crew is always preferable, despite my own misgivings.
