 couldn't have said it better meself. ;)

I know... I wonder who invented it. :erm: hmmm, yeah, it does... lol

Well, I got an Easter basket with candy and such too... and we also had an Easter egg hunt. But that's totally different from actual presents. :eyeroll: yeah, that does seem just perfect... perhaps if I have the time I should "commandeer" that new tradition of yours. ;) I I know, sometimes it really is. *sigh*

actually it wasn't that bad (just listen to my iPod and then if it's possible I might even say it's fun)... although I still only have enough for about one cd... but still, it's a start! :-D lol, maybe it is. and that's kind of where she got her idea maybe... her life was so sad that she took her life story but made it happy. I thought she was perfect too!

Ahhh, I see. :P awww, really? I think my brother can do that with his two too. :P and I could probably do it. I'm sure one of my many Wills would be able to hold my one Lizzie's hand. :P Aye!!! Run! :vampire:

I probably will considering I don't even know where the little guy is. :erm: but I had a baby doll who changed names several times too. :teehee: (aww, that's a lovely name... although it rather reminds me of the AU member ;))

oooo, I feel lucky! ;) I could've told you about it... :erm: guess I never thought about telling you. :duh: you really should! ;) You'll have to tell me what you think... I thought the section on Elizabeth was a disappointment. Most of it was about Keira or about things I already knew. :eyeroll: they didn't talk a whole lot about Elizabeth or her development like they did for a lot of the other charries. :erm: Keira was just mostly all about herself and her experiences.

Thank you, Merry! :D

I dunno...somebody who was bored, probably. :P

Well, yeah, you know what I mean then. I think one year I got a DVD, but that was rare. Oh, go right ahead! I'm not even sure it's mine, I think I stole it from a friend on another forum. ;)

Ah, there you go! Music makes everything better! Especially if you have compiled your very own POTC "soundtrack" like I have. :teehee: Well, I guess that's one of the powers of a writer...if your life isn't going well, just make sure your characters' lives all work out perfectly! ;) (I did that in eighth grade, actually, but I never finished the story. :P)

It seemed appropriate, seeing as they were standing awfully close anyway. ;) But then when my friend had to borrow Will (to check his costume) I referred to it as the "10 years" they were separated. I only regretted that I had no Liam action figure to greet Will when he came back... "Hi ho, Silver, away!!" :P

Oh, well, see there, that works out fine. ;) (To be honest, I forgot there was a member named Aerlinn when I named my iPod...no offense Aerlinn...it was just a spur-of-the-moment thing.)

Ah, it's okay, I got enough Piratey (and Spidey :P) stuff for Christmas anyway, so I shouldn't complain. Yeah, I noticed that...I'm farther than I thought, actually, past the actor/character bits and into the sets and effects. Oh well...I guess we'll just have to make up for it by reading/writing detailed essays about Lizzie, eh? ;)

You're welcome! :-D

lol, probably! That seems to be how some of the greatest words and lines ever came about. :P

wow, you're still luckier than me. :P Although for a few years mom and dad put money in the Easter eggs for the Easter egg hunt. :teehee: THAT was fun! ahhh, well, if I get the time on Easter I think I shall! :-D it's actually a brilliant idea. Like watching PotC on National Talk Like a Pirate Day or something. :P

you're right! It sure does... and it makes everything go faster too. ;) well, I haven't done that yet. Although I do have all three soundtracks on my iPod if that counts for anything. :P yup, you can almost live out your ideal life through your characters... almost. I guess it's not quite the same, but it's nice for other people to read. ;)

of course it did! :-D awwww, poor Will and Lizzie were separated! :teehee: oh dear... whatever shall we do with you, Pip? ;) but I must say I have thought it would be sweet if they made a Little Will. Then you could own the whole Turner family...

I'm sure she takes no offence. :P you know, I just remember my iPod sort of has a name... :erm: I guess... it's nothing like an actual name like what yours has... but it's name-ish. :P I called it Billie's iPod... :teehee: wanna know why? Because that's my nickname... my dad calls me that. :P)

I think that book was the only Pirate-y think I got for Christmas... :erm: really? so I wasn't the only one who saw that? hmmm... it's really too bad. :( that's awesome! I'm to the sets&ships section! Actually I've read the CotBP bit and now I'm onto the DMC bit. :-D (I'm just plodding my way through it... letting all the info digest ;)) I guess so. It'll all work out either way.

I think tomorrow it's gonna be just about time to watch At World's End...

*resuscitates topic* Sorry PD!

Good point. After all, was it not boredom that drove Tolkien to write those fateful words on the back of a student's blank test: "In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit"? ;)

Ooh, mine did that this year! Of course, it was just small change, but I got like $1.70 out of it. :teehee: Exactly! It just makes the holiday so much more meaningful. It occured to me that watching The Passion of the Christ would be the ultimate way to celebrate, movie-wise, but the problem is that I don't know if I could bring myself to watch it a second time. :erm:

My "soundtrack" isn't much anyway. It's mostly Relient K and obscure connections that no one but me understands. Still...I think I did that once, wrote a story about myself. It was pretty dumb, as I recall, but fun. :teehee:

It was very sad...Lizzie kept looking at me reproachfully. :P Aww, I'd love that! It would be so sweet! Pity they haven't yet... I was planning to draw a Turner family portrait of sorts, but I just haven't found the right pictures, or the time. :erm:

But how do you know? ;) jk. Well, I guess that works...mine just used to be "[my name's] iPod" before I got creative. :P Billie, huh? Care to elaborate? (It's fine if you don't, I'm just curious.)

Yeah...oh well. We've probably delved farther into the POTC characters than the actors have, at one point or another.

What a great idea! I should watch it again - I've been taking a bit of a break from POTC in favor of other movies, but I think it might be time to go back. Thanks!

I agree, the fans of movies generally know the characters better than the actors. This is especially true for pirates fans. Most of us are just as passionate about this trilogy as many people are about the Star Wars saga. It is AWEsome that this thread has been revived of late. :-D I am happy that I won't be to late to get into a good POTC discussion. I guess I should list my favorite characters so everyone knows. They are in order Elizabeth Swann, Barbossa, Jack Sparrow, and Will Turner. Just thought I would tell you guys that so you know where I am coming from when I post.

Anie, that's alright. ;)

umm, I dunno. lol was it? Or was it fate? :P

bleh, mine didn't... ;) nothin'... lucky Anie. :P yup it does. Although I never got time to this Easter. Maybe next Easter. I hear ya! I didn't even see much of the movie and it's sooo sad! :erm: I don't think I could take watching the whole thing through, let alone seeing it twice. :(

aww, well, don't feel bad about it! no one else needs to understand it... it's why they call it "My" music. ;) lol, I can imagine...

Poor Lizzie! and poor Anie for having to tell her each day that Will wasn't gonna be coming home... my heart goes out to you both. :P (not literally though... Lizzie's got Will's heart, that's enough lol ;)) Oo, that would be sweet! If you ever do you'll at least have to tell me about it! a Turner family picture! Awww! :-D

lol, that reminded me of the Enchanted quote "but how does she know?". :P That makes sense though and it's "simple and easy to remember". My dad just calls me Billie... ever since I was little. :erm: not like that has anything to do with my name really... :P lol there's not much else to tell about the nickname. I'm not sure how it started.

probably! that's sad! lol

you really should... don't push PotC too far back! we wouldn't want you growing too far away from it, Pip!!! I could not bear that! So now is a very good time to come back to your roots... trust me it's good to branch out, but you can't forget our dearest Norrie, Will, Barby, Becky, and Rags!!! that would be too sad!

Eliza, well, I wasn't gonna reply to you (you know why ;)) but I have to say you're right... :eyeroll: there, I said it. Haha! But it's nice to hear Will listed in there... :sly: you should go to the Will Turner thread, you know. ;) Anyway, buckle in and come along for the Great Ride of Teh Merry and Pippin.... and whoever else desides to join. :P Or I could just tell you to "leave now and never come back".

Well given the choices I guess I'll prepare for the ride. You know PD that it is not very nice to welcome a new member by telling them to leave and never come back. :hammer: I plan on helping you guys keep this thread alive. It would be a shame to see this slip down the pages. As for Will being listed among my favorites, I am simply telling you who I like the best. By the way he is only slightly ahead of Jones
A pirates life for me!!! :pirate:

"A touch of destiny"? Who knows? :P

Well, now you have a plan for next Easter, right? :) Yeah, it was well-done and all, but...I'm too sensitive or something, I guess.

True. And a couple of them are actually "piratey" songs. Like, I had to include Relient K's "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything"...

Well, I never told her...she just kinda knew. *sheepish grin* ( Thanks for the thought, anyway. :P) I'll post it when I finally start/finish it, I promise. I just happen to be working on a family portrait of another sort at the moment...

Wow! Look, everyone, I'm starting to influence people! :teehee: but yeah, I see what you mean...why didn't I think of that?! :duh: "Thus did the student surpass the teacher." :P Oh, well, that's cool. It's a better nickname than I ever got, except maybe "Piglet". :teehee:

No, not sad! It's dedicated! ;)

Oh no! I wouldn't do that! I couldn't anyway...familial ties and all. No worries. ;)

Hey there Captain Barbossa! *salutes* :pirate: Nice to see somebody else almost as crazy as us here. :D "Apple?"

(PD...we have a ride?! Why didn't you tell me? :bounce: :D Now, now, be nice... :P)

[s]Eliz[/s] wait, you're Hector now! :-D :P

anyway, good... yeah, you're not a new member to me though, so there. and it's not like I was actually "welcoming" you to this thread. You've known about it. :hammer: suuuree he is... ;)

Pippin, oooo, you're right! Who Knew? :P

yup, now I do... although that's a whole year away. Any number of things can happen before then. :erm: but at lesat I have a rough game plan. :) hm, yeah, I know what you mean, it was well-done, but I guess I'm too sensitive too? Maybe.

I saw that they sing that song! lol which is great! :-D I should listen to it sometime...

really... that's just cruel, Pip. *shakes head sadly* never talking to your poor Elizabeth? What kind of action figure owner are you anyway? (just kidding!) okie dokie, teh PD never forgets a promise.... ;) no pressure or anything though. :P I'm sure it'll be great! wow, you're busy... a true artist. :-D

Of course you are! lol do you believe it is a bad thing to influence people? :P although I suppose it could be... depending. ;) hehe, because maybe teh student is starting to barely catch up to teh teacher... :P Piglet? Why is that a good name, may I ask?

oops, I forgot! Of course... it's only dedication!

phew, glad to hear that... I was a little worried there, Pip. although I guess with our family and all you wouldn't be straying too far, would you? ;)

you didn't know we had a ride? where have you been all this time, dear? of course we do! It is Teh Amazing Ride of PD-isms and Anie-isms (WARNING: keep your hands and feet in vehicle at all times. Once the ride starts it will not stop until all craziness has ended (which is never). All passengers enter at their own risk. Please sign on the dotted line, here, for legal reasons.) :P

Tia Dalma? :teehee:

Yeah, I know...but still. The idea is there. ;) Well, I didn't say sensitive is a bad thing...what would be bad was finding humor in it. :erm:

Hey! I never said I don't talk to my action figures! :P I just said I never told Lizzie her husband wasn't home yet, because I didn't want to rub salt in her wounds or whatever. ;) Aww, thanks! Yeah...well, they're not a normal family, but ah well. (It's kinda more of a father/daughter drawing, actually, but they're two of my favorites so I couldn't resist. :D)

Well, I just meant I'm surprised. But I think I'm a good influence...right? :P Even so. :teehee: ...I have worse.

No, of course not! My family is far too important to me! *:hug:s slightly disfunctional but amazing A-U family* :P

 Well, you see, nobody tells me anything these days. :P I do so love that last bit of the sign though...

Tia Dalma? How did she know? :sly: and why am I getting that creepy feeling that I'm being watched? *looks suspiciously around* Tia seems to know everything... "eerie. That's just downright macabre." :P

aye, and it's a very good idea... anyway, I should watch LWW sometime soon. It's been quite a while. :P um, yeah, I have to say you're completely right here! I don't know how anyone could find humor in that! Except for extremely sick-minded people...

yes, I think you are... as long as you think you are. :P and if you think you're not than does that still mean that you are? Or wouldn't you be because you don't think you are? ;) (sorry, I felt like playing a Jack there)

Oh hooha....Hello to you all! Thanks for the warm welcome back some months ago, and that link to the AWE bloopers...they were awesome!!! :-D
*sigh* I 'm sorry I haven't been back on recently...been busy with "life" :p Hope you all had a good Easter. (From the sound of things it seems like you did. :) )

I was in my apartment's hallway this afternoon and apparently one of my neighbors(sp?) was watching PotC 3 'cause I could hear the music coming through the walls! :-D It was in the credits, but still...'twas good to hear the music again.... :)

Well, y'know, she does have a special fondness for my dear Rags after all, being as he was the one to help release her an' all. So she pops in once in a while, to say hello. :P But I'll be sure to let her know that she doesn't need to terrorize the rest of you... ;)

You should! It's one of those movies that must only be watched when in the right mood, and then savored, like you're watching it for the first time. Wow, that sounded uber-profound... Eh, you'd be surprised what people can find humor in... :eyeroll: :duh:

Well...let's just put it this way. My Spidey and Will have gotten into fights before and I've had to break it up. :teehee:

"What?" "You're not makin' any sense at all, mate." ;) "Two can play at this game!" :P

Probably not. But it could be our family title! :D "Herenya's Family, the Most POTC-Obsessed A-U Family!"

Ah, it's all good. At least I know now. ;) *innocent expression* Who, me? *hides stolen gold behind back* I don't know what you could be talking about. :P

Hey, Padawan, welcome back! You're very welcome, I hope you enjoyed them. Awesome! I mean, I'm glad the walls of my house aren't so thin that I can hear the neighbors' TV, but still. It must be nice to have neighbors with such good taste. ;)

The music is addicting, especially on the COTBP and AWE soundtracks. :-D You guys have probably already discussed this, but what are your favorite parts of the AWE soundtrack. I like "What shall we die for" and "I don't think now is the best time", although all of them are cool.
