I think that it must be my third favorite piece on all three tracks. Its really a very nice piece of music, and she was a lovely, lovely voice - ethereal and very elv-ish

the first two CDs I ever bought were the Soundtracks to FotR and TTT, and my friends thought I was crazy.
Yeah Evenstar is a lovely song... I also like Aniron (at the start of the Council fo Elrond, FotR CD) they're both very Elvish...

Really?? That's cool ^^ (I mean that the soundtracks were the first CDs you've ever bought..)
The soundtracks probably are the only CDs I listen to every day. The music is just too beautiful

You're right, they are beautiful...
When I listen to them, I like to imagine just what exactly is going on at that time, you know what I mean? Like I'll hear the Aniron bit and know its the scene with Aragorn & Arwen in Rivendell, or I'll listen to the end of the Bridge of Khazad Dum and know that its the scene with the Fellowship all crying and shocked with Gandalf's fall... it's kinda weird watching a movie in my head. Haha I never thought of it that way before... wow I have the entire trilogy within my head!! (I suppose that's a good thing?)

hehe yeah me too. When I was in a cinema with my friends the other and we were waiting for the movie to begin they played some of the LotR soundtrack. And my friends asked me if I knew which scene that was and of course I directly answered.. and they just said I was sooo LotR-addicted

Yeah if I answered like that I'd receive exclamations of surprise, shakes of the head and weird stares, not to mention comments regarding my sanity and my LotR obsession.
I can ALMOST recognize what scenes all the songs are of (if that makes sense) but I'd probably not be able to recognise it straight away since some bits are the same as songs from other scenes, or very similar... but I watched the movies just a couple of days ago and was surprised to notice some of the background music which I never even realised was playing (at that particular scene). Quite surprising.

oh yeah I know what you mean. When I had only had the soundtracks for a few weeks I listened to them like all the time and when I watched the movies again then I'd recognise some pieces of music I never noticed before.

Haha, well now I know I'm not alone in the World of Discovering Music You Never Noticed Before in the LotR Movies.

I love how the vocals and the music tie into together creating a wistful melody!

Omg! I remember the first time I watched the movies after listening to the Complete Recordings, because it was like, argh!! music!!! So overwhelming!! all my friends just think i'm craaazy period. the lotr-ness is just another factor. some of them haven't even seen it so I'm going to drag them over to watch all three and listen to the soundtracks when we aren't watching the movies. BWAHAHAHAHA!! (please excuse the random bits of evil laughter every now and then)
But you know what pisses them off the most? It's when I start singing in elvish!! Especially Evenstar! Whatdduyaknow!! haha! I love that song...

"Evenstar" is a great piece of music. Knowing what the lyrics mean made it even better. One of its main attractions for me is the fact that it simply radiates Elvishness!

When I first heard it I was like "....beautiful....beautiful..." I used to listen to it night and fall asleep to it all the time! I would hear it my dreams, lol!
