(I've sent a PM to Aramel. With any luck, she'll be here to start us off. If not, after, say five days?, we'll start by ourselves)

(you guys, Aramel has been really busy lately and I'm sure if she had the time to start the RP she would've, but the fact is school has to come first. So I think we should just wait for her no matter what, after all this is her RP and it seems a little disrespectful to me to carry on without her.)

[[Guys, I feel so horrible about asking this, but do you think someone could get this kicked off? I've been way too busy lately and I don't want to make you guys wait because of me. I'll probably jump in sometime soon, either tomorrow or Friday because I don't know when I'll be able to get on AU this week. Sorry everyone. ]]

((no problem Aramel, school always comes first and we all respect that, hope to see you here soon. speaking of school however...))

Jacen stared at the cold, worn image looking back at him through the cracked mirror in the toilets. A mirror that had not been cracked all of two minutes ago. The person he saw didn't feel familiar, rage boiled in his veins, threatening to explode at any moment. Mr Bray had been pushing him hard recently, so much harder than the other pupils it seemed. Everyone knew Jacen Bradshaw was the elite of the athletes in Aldridge, so much depended on him at the interscholar summer games this year... his year. Jacen was ready to throw it all in.

'No more Jacen Bradshaw...' He spoke absently to himself, his eyes cast in a dark, brooding shadow. 'Aldridge isn't going to keep you here any more... Mr Bray sure as day ain't gonna keep you here!' Just the sound of that name brought his rage back upto boiling point as he punched the mirror, smashing it into pieces that scattered across the floor like a thousand slivers of crystal.
Looking at the droplets of blood running from his knuckles, Jacen picked up his bag with his other hand and left the courtyard toilets, his mind a million miles from the picturesque scene he walked out into.

Aldridge Academy was a picture of Beauty. Set upon acres of lush, green English countryside, the old victorian rooftops pierced the clear blue sky like arrows fired from the very bosom of Nature. Ancient trees, older than the building itself, lined the courtyard, giving shade to pupils who were enjoying the surprisingly warm early March sun.

All of it, all of the romantic beauty and royal splendour was currently lost on Jacen Bradshaw as he made to storm across the courtyard, muttering obscenities to himself. He got all of three paces before he crashed into someone walking the other direction. His bloodied hand taking the brunt of the collision, causing a momentary grimace on the face of Jacen before it was lost in cold fury...
'Would you watch where you're going for crying out loud!' He seethed through his teeth whilst turning to set eyes on perhaps the last person he expected...

((there you go guys, it's not great but it's a start))

(I just realized... there are alot of twins here, lol!)

Don had been reading a book, one that his sister had recomended he read. She always had her nose in a book, while he only touched them if school made him. But his "little" sister insisted he read this book, and that he'd enjoy it. The Sword of Shanara, was what the book was called. Don had read the first chapter and was bored with it. Now he flipped through the pages trying to find an exciting, action filled part.

Don was a tall, lean boy, from always playing sports when ever he had the chance. But this year wasn't his year. He hadn't made it to the top of the class. He could almost tell that that Mr. Bray was being hard on that...

A sudden jolt in the shoulder brought him back to reality. He had run into someone, not watching where he was going. Too worried about a book he didn't want to read that his sister and said he should read. The person he ran into snapped at him, obviously having a hard day.
"Sorry," Don said, looking to see Jacen. "I blame my little sister for that. I usually do watch where I'm going, thank you very much."

John saw his little brother approach him from afar. He sighed and turned the other way. He had hoped to see the last of him when the summer ended but his mother reminded him that Sam was eligible to join this year. Admittedly Sam wasn't that bad of a little terror but he did possess a lack of good timing. Like when he called him when John was spending the night with the girl he had met in a club. He never really forgave him for that.

He went to the library, carefully ignored the large groups of people and weaved his way towards his familiar corner. He took out his biology notes and skimmed through them briefly. Even though he had a test that day, he didn't need to study it. He knew it already. Cellular respiration, a breeze really. He really didn't think he needed to go through the entire class of Biology or Human Biology or Chemistry. But it was still fun showing off to the rest of the class and snickering at the idiots that were there. Like that idiot blonde who thought AIDS was caused by a monkey. God, how stupid could you get, John though cynically. He flipped through the illegible notes a couple more times before deciding to draw.

Kira Marshall had tried desperately to convince the administration that she could take the final exam before her English class even begun about two and a half months ago. She went into such arguements speaking of how it would be a waste of time and precious energy that could be spent working towards a productive goal. Unfortunately, to her dismay, the administration was not as logical and practical as she would have liked them to be. However, it did not turn out to all head downhill. For her conversation brought forth the enviction of her recieving the most wanted English teacher in all of Abridge (Mr. Yorkshrine). Kira did not know the reason as to why the administration pulled a move that showed such compassion and kindness, but, to keep in line with the job, she simply figured that they wanted to make sure Kira at least would not return to their office for any more complaints about English.

Mr. Yorkshrine, as I have said, is the most popular English teacher in all of Abridge. One of the main reasons as to why this is deemed true is from the unique sense of teaching he brings to the classroom. Mr. Yorkshrine, or Andy Yorkshrine, believes in a method of teaching he likes to call "Milking the Cow". If that was not enough for him to create a geniune novel of distinct jokes, there would be not much else that could accomplish such a task. To put bluntly, Mr. Yorkshrine believed in hands on learning. He continued to explain how one could not simply perform this task first handily, but one had to watch someone else perform it and then apply it themselves. Amazingly, he has found several clever ways to bring that forth in his English class.

One such way is the project Kira was working on right then, sitting on a bench in the middle of the courtyard. She had a pen in her hand, a pad of paper on her lap, and a video camera laying to the side. The assignment was to create a video about everyday life, and it was supposed to help emphasize Charles Dickens. Although, the belief around the classroom is moreso that Mr. Yorkshrine would perfer having us complete this project than complete one of Dicken's books.

Kira had been sitting on the bench for around forty five minutes then before anything somewhat interesting happened. She was in the middle of doodling yet another drawing of her Chemistry teacher, complete with glasses, a pencil, and a huge cup of coffee with the price tag still pasted on the side when she heard some kid mutteringly angrily to himself. She looked up just to see what new phenomenon made this sound that was not some bug, bird, or force of nature to find that some boy was stomping across the ground right into another boy that was passing by.

"Perfect," Kira smiled gleefully to herself as she quickly grabbed the camera and turned it on, zooming into the two fighting boys, "the moment I have been waiting for."

Angie Rose walked towards the school of Aldridge Academy, the very picture of gloom. Her long black hair was arranged carefully round her shoulders, framing her chalk-white face, which was inset with very bright blue eyes outlined in thick black kohl. She dragged behind her her suitcase on wheels and carried a hockey stick, which she felt like hitting someone with. She didn't want to be here. She didn't want to talk to anyone, attend any classes, do anything. As soon as she found her dormitory she would plug herself into her MP3 player and listen to some loud music.

She had been sent here because she was unwanted; silent, sullen, miserable, lurking around her house like a ghost. It made her unbearable. So naturally she had been sent here. She looked up at the huge school, which was to be her new home for the next year.
