Well, I was going to wait and post all of my banners together, but seeing as you have posted Phantom, it's only suiting that I post Unique Follower #1.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y195/p ... anner2.jpg
Right. So this is Kjan. I've been his for about a year now, since Melda created Phantom Grey. Kjan is basically the traditional sidekick, except way more awesome. Like, one hundred times as awesome. At least. He's been friends with the Phantom (formerly known as Phaerin/Phae) pretty much since birth, giving him plenty of time to have gotten caught up in numerous misadventures and potentially life-threatening situations. He's mostly sane usually sometimes, though some do wonder whether his nurse made a habit of dropping him on the head when he was younger (an incorrect assumption, as it was Phae who did most of the dropping). Presently, Kjan serves as the Phantom's second-in-command, doing whatever important stuff the Phantom doesn't feel like doing himself and making sure the selfsame Phantom doesn't get himself killed. He, too, has a tendency toward immaturity, but he usually remembers to be a grown-up when he has to be.
You also got the equation wrong, dear. Phantom Grey = (Fantasy + Robin Hood)^10.

Code: So this is Rhea, she's 18. Grew up in Greenwich, England. Was thought a strange child, never liked going to church and always talked about things that wern't there. When she was 6 her mother showed her a portrait of her cousin and she started crying saying "Gone, gone." A few days later the family found out that he had been killed by pirates. This scared her parents so much they locked her in the basement and told people she was very ill. When she was 10 she managed to escape and stole away on a ship heading for Port Royal. There she became a ragamuffin, begging for food. When she was 13 she heard two gentlemen talking about a 'Voodoo Witch' who lived in a swamp. The men said that she helped sailers, when the payment was right. Rhea stole away on their ship to visit this mysterious woman, hoping to discover what was wrong with her. She found Tia Dalma, who told her she had a 'Gift' that little others had. As payment, Rhea gave herself as a servant for all eternity. Tia accepted and made a link between her and Rhea's mind, that would remain intack even after she was released. She stayed behind to help the villagers while Tia was away and remaind there untill told otherwise by her mistress.
Thanks Lothiriel!
Okay, Melda's entry #3:
http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee11 ... nner-1.png
So this is Eledhe. Right now she's being primarily used in Phantom Grey, but I've used her in a couple other things as well, and she has her own backstory too. She's often referred to as homicidal, and indeed has somewhat violent tendencies as well as a slightly explosive temper. Oh, she was also raised effectively penniless, has a troubled past, is half elf, and dangerously skilled at various weapons. And snarkily sarcastic. And icily haughty, at times. *tries to think if there are any Mary-Sue qualities I've missed* ...yeah, she's pretty MS. But I like her anyway.

Here's my entry!
http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc44 ... anner3.png
Here he is, my favorite character! Ashraem... well, I haven't settled on a last name yet, which is sad considering Ash has been around for over a year now. He's one of the Phantom Grey's followers in the Phantom Grey RP. Ash grew up on his family farm, until after a few incidents with the law, he decided that rebellion was the way to go and became a spy for the Phantom. He manages to keep a cheerful outlook on life, despite being in danger several times a month (at the least).

Little band of rebel heroes... they all look so dashing. Here's my third entry, btw.
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i273/ ... /Power.jpg
This pleasant fellow from Star Crystal is known quite dramatically as the Lich, the uncredited power source behind a soul-sucking cult called the Shadowers. He's emo - even more emo than Kendath - though a more accurate term would be 'psychotic.' Smile. He wants to be your friend.

Yeesh. And I though the Lich was creepy BEFORE he had his own picture.
Anywho, I'm here to complete the Phantom Grey entourage (as it currently stands) with the Phantom's "girl."
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y195/p ... banner.png
This is Princess Silvryn Seilhera, though Lady Silvryn will usually suffice unless the situation is especially formal. (Interesting note - even though I play her and have been responsible for a lot of her character growth, she started off as Melda's creation). Very complicated story with this one, but suffice it to say that she's pretty dang important. Her attempted assassination was one of the driving forces behind the start of the rebellion, and she's technically heir to two kingdoms. And she's (eventually) the Phantom's love interest, though we're having a hard time of convincing her. She's rather pragmatic and seems to have trouble expressing any sort of emotion, but we love her anyway.
And it's all Melda's fault that she's a Sue. :teehee:

Thanks guys!
And yes, it's all my fault. Bad Melda.
Okay, extending one more day so that potr and I have time to finish our respective last entries, so if anyone randomly feels like doing another, you have until tomorrow evening-ish.

my second: Aurora-Rose
Aurora-Rose is for a pirate RP. She was born a princess of a small kingdom in england when her best friend was found missing. She had been informed pirates were part of the kidnapping and she immedietly left her home and disgused herself as a pirate. At first all she wanted to do was find her friend, but when she boarded the ship and began to live the life of a pirate, her heart changed and has been sailing the seas for the love of piracy ever since, even after finding her friend she lives the life of a pirate... forever leaving her princess days behind... now she is a princess of the seas.

Thanks Pandora - but the link doesn't seem to be working, at least not for me. Any idea why that might be...?

Okay, get ready...this is Merrin from Star Crystal
http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee11 ... rrin-1.png
So. Of all my characters, Merrin may well be the most developed. And I'll happily admit that yes, I play favorites, and yes, she's top of the list. I've had Merrin sig sets pretty regularly for about the last year, and Crystal's been going since...let me see...November 2006. So Merrin's been around for a while. In the course of Crystal she's gone from peasant dragonrider (which is no exalted position in a city full of nobles) to chosen of the gods and basically the potential savior of an entire race. Oh, and she's nineteen. She doesn't like it all terribly much.
To avoid being long-winded...potr and LDM can testify that I can get extremely long-winded about Merrin...she's naive, a bit shy, got self-confidence issues, and is currently under an exorbitant amount of pressure. You would too if you got to eventually duel Mr Smiley in LDM's post above. She's also in love with Kendath/Emo Boy, possibly the most issue-ridden assassin you'll ever meet. He's up there somewhere too. So that's basically Merrin in a nutshell.

Yes! Thank you Melda! * *
Okay, here it is:
http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g111/ ... banner.jpg
This is Vincent. He is a druid from an old rpg called "Crystal of Chaos". He's probably the oldest non-elf character I've ever played. He's based largly off of Gandalf and Vincent Valentine(Final Fantasy VII game/movie). He's always saying things differently, and isn't afraid to make his point. He's alright with a sword, but has very powerful magic powers, especially in the elements. He is what I like to call a "red druid". Vincent travels around alot, seeking old scrolls to read and gain new spells and such. He grew up as a farmer's son, but at a young age was taken to a large city to become a druid's apprentice, and eventually, a full druid. Most of his family was lost in the war that went on in the rpg at the time. He's has been used in one rpg, and hasn't been used for a long time, but I hope to be able to use him sometime in the futur...

No problem Okay, so, contest is now closed, cause Eruraina and potr have both finished their entries - but I still need input on voting. The two things I'm considering doing at the moment are:
1) Tossing all these banners into one thread and having six (or eight or something) top spots rather than the usual three. This is a pretty fair way of doing it, but I don't think a lot of people will vote.
2) Splitting the banners randomly into four groups of about 9 each, and having voting for each group. Then the top three of each go into another voting thread. Not sure how many top spots, for this one.
Also, I'm thinking of having voting based on individual banners, but if everybody wants to have voting based on person instead, I suppose we could change that. Also, if I don't get any feedback (and yes, potr, I already have yours ) I'll be doing what I think will work best, which will probably be method 2. So please tell me what you want!
