Yes he has. He started to get on a little roll a couple races ago, but I guess now any momentum he had is gone.

Yeah. It's kind of sad actually cause I really like Jimmie and I wanted him to win a 3rd Championship

I am not counting him out yet. All that matters right now is being in the top twelve. As long as he makes the chase, I would consider him a threat. I firmly believe that he and Chad Knaus will start doing really well once the chase starts.

it wasn't his fault.
they replayed it several times, and Kyle got loose; Jr. was right there and Kyle absolutely had no where to go.
I thought it was very mature of Kyle to apologize to teh crew, Jr. and the fans after the race even though he thought he got loose and it was accidental. I think that the apology proves that he's not a brat, but just the same, I'm glad Jr. DIDN'T win because he's at Hendricks, and I think he's overrated because of his dad. You know, Kyle wasn't forced to apologize, he wasn't forced to say, "yeah, it might have been my fault"; he did it voluntarily and was willing to admit that it might have been his fault. A driver like Montoya would have blamed it completely on the other driver; because he can't take responsibility for his own mistakes.
If Kyle's a brat, then I'm a brat too.
I felt sorry for Denny as well; leading nearly the entire race then having a tire go down; then NASCAR making him stop for two laps on pit road becasue he stopped on the track???? STUPID! Had it been any other driver, RCR or Hendricks, it wouldn't have happened, and I've never seen anybody penalized for stopping on the track.
and if Kyle needs to learn how to drive, how come he's had success in all three series???? How come he's been up front, leading, AND winning the past few weeks if he can't drive? Yeah, he may have some attitude issues, but if we all look at the drivers, we can see that nearly all of them have, or have had attitude problems. Kyle will grow out of it. He's only 23, and I think very successful for somebody his age.
I support "Wild Thing" and I'll stand behind any 100% Kyle Busch fan, same as I would a Denny or Tony fan. Seems funny to me that anytime a driver is taken out of the race, it's blamed on one of teh JGR cars. everybody blames every wreck that Stewart is involved in on him, when in reality, most of the time, their driver was the one at fault. If Sr. had spun out Busch, nobody would have been upset because it's DE, Sr.
I'm sorry, but I haven't seen any real talent from Jr.; otherwise he would have won more races by now. I think he's overrated and famous because of his dad's name. *and I'm not the only one who feels that way*
Darlington will be interesting. Ugh, another Saturday race.
P.S. anybody hear the D word that Knaus threw out last night? *gasp* and he got away with it! any other driver, except at Hendricks would have been penalized for saying a cuss word on national tv. *arched eyebrow*.
coincidence? I think not. Where's the calling down of NASCAR on using curse words, even mild ones? *shakes head*
I think I'm going somewhere else where Kyle isn't so put down because of his talent.
MTFBWY.

I second everything just said by LadyOfRohan. Kyle has a ton of talent, it just seems like he is always getting himself into bad situations. I do agree with you though Petra that Jr. is very much overrated.
As for the penalty given to Hamlin that is actually a common practice. I have seen many races in which someone who purposely brings out a caution by stopping on the track has been penalized a few laps. When you think about it, it is a fair call. Although what happened to Hamlin is unfortunate, he changed the entire complexion of the race when he stopped on track. Had he not done this Jr. would have won the race and it would have been a much cleaner finish.
Darlington should be very cool. I am a little worried about how good the race will be with the new asphalt. Hopefully the drivers will still slip and slide around like usual.
As for Knaus saying that word, I believe last year Tony Stewart said, during his win in the Brickyard 400, the s*** word. I do not remember any penalty coming from his use of that word. Not to mention NASCAR penalties are always announced on Tuesday, so there very well may be one coming for Knaus.

Yes, I do agree also that Jr is very overrated.
and yes CB Tony did say the S word at the Brickyard 400, I remember it very vividly

I see that Kasey moved back into the top twelve in points. It is going to be a great battle for that last spot in the Chase.

Yes! I know! I am very proud of him! He has been through alot. Kasey had a really rough season last year and to come back and be in the points again, it's really a great thing to see

I am happy to see him back doing well also. I really hope that the last spot in the Chase does not come down to a battle between him and Jeff Gordon. I do think that if they can ever shake their bad luck they should both be safely in.

I remain optimistic for both of them. It is a long time until the Chase starts and there are some really good tracks left on the schedule for both of them.
What do you think of Darlington being under the lights these days?
