I just want to see Willabeth's children! That's my one true request! lol I think it would be neat to see Jack hook up with someone, too. I don't even quite know why.

yeah, but in some ways it would be hard to see Will and Lizzie's kids in it, for me at least... I mean for so long PotC has been about Will and Elizabeth wanting to get together but not being able to, you know? And to have their kids in it would mature them a lot and change them a lot.... it would add a whole new element to the story. And Jack hook up with someone would be interesting... but I just can't picture Jack staying with someone for very long. He's a loner to me, I guess. :teehee:

Yes, but he proved that he's willing enough to enter matrimony when he proposed to Elizabeth in DMC.

I suppose so, but that's another thing about doing a fourth. There's really not much more that can be done with the Willabeth storyline.

I actually believe that what Jack was proposing to Elizabeth in DMC was not to marry her, but to get the benefits of marriage.

I do agree that not much more can be done with the Willabeth relationship, but you could still have Will and Elizabeth go on an adventure with Jack. Just because they are no longer trying to get together does not mean that their story would be stupid. I would like to see them go with Jack and get the FOY in the fourth one. :)

I don't know...Jack's experienced the benefits of marriage with women he didn't marry. If that was all he really wanted, I think he would have easily moved on to someone else.

Yes, that's true, but they would have to start ten years after AWE, with their son. That could make for a very interesting story, though...

It seems like I remember in the DMC commentary that one of the writers said that what Jack meant by what he said was not marriage, but the benefits of marriage. I guess this is a good excuse for watching that again. :-D

An interesting story indeed.

okie dokie, I just watched that scene in the DMC commentary to confirm it and Terry does say that Jack isn't necessarily proposing marriage to Elizabeth in that scene. He is proposing something else. :eyeroll: that's just good old Jack for you, I guess..... lol

anyway, that would be a a good story for a fourth one. although a lot can change in 10 years. But really that would be the only way they could go with it if they wanted Elizabeth and Will involved. Although they would both be changed a little from the CotBP/DMC/AWE Will and Lizzie you know... :erm:

Now I'm confused... Ah well! Jack wouldn't be Jack if we had him all figured out, I suppose.

Yes, that would be a major time gap...thus far it's only been a few months, I would imagine, that was the lapse between the time frames in the films. And yet I don't think they'd be able to do it without Willabeth...and then of course, there's Orlando's refusal to do more movies to take into consideration, which would mean that unless they could convince him otherwise, they'd have to recast Will, which would be an utter disaster...

I guess the way I have always seen the fourth one would be to have it without Will. Although I would love to see him in it, I think they could do it with just Elizabeth. She could get back with Jack on his ship and then go with him to the FOY. Then they could both be caught by Barbossa and company and everyone end up with the FOY. Just my idea of how everything could work.

Well that'd be what they'd have to do but I don't know...I just can't see it without Will. It just wouldn't be the same for me. I'd still watch it, of course. It's still a brilliant series of films, but I enjoy watching Will, Elizabeth and Jack when they mesh together. It gives the film a great dynamic.

I'm sure it wouldn't be rubbish without Will, but it wouldn't be quite as...awesome. Just my opinion.

I agree Will helps make the movies. The only way that we could even get Elizabeth in the fourth one would be without Will though. Unless they waited ten years, and then as PD said Will and Elizabeth would have changed alot. :confuzzled:

The bottom line is, if Jack, Will, or Elizabeth are missing from the fourth one, part of the special feel will also be missing.

Don't be confused, Millie dear! I think Jack just likes all women for one thing... no real exceptions, unfortunately. Because he's just Jack. :P

I totally agree with you there! Recasting any of the cast would be a horrible choice for Pirates 4. they would be better off to just get new characters all together. and in a few years Orlando might reconsider... you never know. *shrugs*
and I suppose the movie wouldn't be horrible without Will (as Mil said)... there would be something missing, but I would still probably watch it. (as long as it didn't have any flying ships lol ;)) and with just Elizabeth in it with the rest of the guys it might be amusing. Although she would be pregnant which would add a whole new dilemma and change to the story.
but you guys are right... without all three (Jack, Lizzie, and Will) it wouldn't be the same at ALL. :erm: who was it, Mil, who said they were like a PB&J sandwich in the Will Club or the Willabeth Club? Was that you or Anie? Either way that's exactly right. you can't have a PB&J sandwich without the bread, jelly, and peanut butter.

LOL no, no I understand why Jack proposed, but it's a rather odd way for Jack to go about it...Ah well. Jack wouldn't be Jack without his quirks.

Orlando had better reconsider! lol If he's the factor that kills the plans for a fourth movie, he's going to have a lot of fans to answer to. :bones:

LOL I remember that analogy as well. I think that was me...

But it's true; they're the three musketeers. :) I trust T&T enough to believe that they wouldn't ruin the story. I don't know how they'd move on from AWE, but they're a brilliant team, so I'm sure they'd find some way of doing it if there's to be another movie.

Agreed. I have more than enough faith in TnT. The fourth one will be awesome.

Absolutely! :) If and when it comes, it will be great, if for no other reason than the fact that T&T wrote it.

The only time Jack would get hooked up with someone is if he found sometimes 10x as worse as him and can drink him under the table anytime.

But that would be a little cliche for my liking. ;)
