Almost everyone here loves Disney films. And many want back Disney's Golden Age. And in a year or less we'll have that Age.
Here you can talk about future Disney and Pixar films, and tell information about them.

Here's a list of some titles and their possible release date:
Wall-E: June 27 2008
Bolt:November 26 2008
Up: May 29 2009
Princess and the Frog: 25 December 2009
Toy Story 3: June 18 2010
Rapunzel: Christmas 2010
Newt: Summer 2011
Bear and the Bow: Christmas 2011
Cars 2: Summer 2012
King of the Elves: Christmas 2012

Good grief, there's another Cars film? Dunno if I'm too chuffed about that, I liked how the first film ended fine.

I'm really REALLY looking forward to Wall-E, uber excited in fact.

I liked Toy Story 2 on the whole, although some parts of it were not up to scratch, so I'm interested to see what they'll do with the 3rd one.

I'm not too familiar with the other films, although anything based on a classic fairytale story is more than likely going to be good and will hopefully set Disney back on track when it comes to comparing itself with the golden age.

I'm very excited for Wall-E, i saw the promo for it when I saw Horton Hears A Who, and I couldnt stop squeeing. Cars 2, meh, i liked the first one, but one if good enough for me.

No idea what Bolt, Up, Princess and the Frog, Newt, Bear and the Bow, or King of the Elves is about...

Never was a fan of Rapunzel, and Toy Story 2 was terrible in comparison with the first one...

Oh well, i'll probably go see most of them anyways.

Princess and the Frog is the one I'm most excited for:
It's a film directed by Clements and Musker (they directed Little Mermaid and Aladdin). The fairy tale it's original (part inspired by The Frog Prince and The Frog Princess)
The story is set in New Orleans, 1920. It will also be a musical with jazz, gospel and dixie-land. The plot is about an african-american girl name Tiana who works in plantations with her mother Eudora and her little sister Arila. She is best friends(I think) with Charlotte, the daughter of the boss of the plantations, Big Daddy LaBouff. She is a white girl and a diva planning to work with jazz. Then I guess Tiana meets the Prince, and in some way he is turned in a frog. She must kiss him to break the spell. But then I don't know what happens.
There are also her Fairy Godmother, Mama Odie, the villain, Dr. Facilier, and the animal sidekicks, Loius the aligator, and Ray the firefly.

Bad thing is that is getting a lot of controversy: That they don't want Tiana to be called Maddy(that was her first name), that they don't want her to be a chambermaid, they want the prince to be european and white, they don't want Tiana to be a frog, also they want Rapunzel to be like Shrek, and they want to Narnia have romance or not...

If they keep doing controversy,Disney will never make a good film. And they are making weird decisions in these films:
-Tiana being princess of birth of New Orleans .Since when did America had princesses,in New Orleans, and african-americans? I'm not racist but the idea it's against history and actuality.
-Romance in Narnia. It was never in the book. But It could work on the screen. But here it will be a big war between the book-lovers and film-lovers. And I don't want the romance to be ''Snow White and the Beast.'' Or maybe I do? Maybe I like a little bit the couple...
-Rapunzel-Shrek. No! Please adapt the story just as it is! We don't want more Shrek!

I just have a feeling (and a scary one) that if Disney accept these decisions, and keep being attacked, the films will go downhill. But maybe it's wrong. I hope they will be good.
To tell the truth, I don't care anymore of the decisions Disney make: Caspian and Susan in love, Tiana princess of America, Rapunzel the female Shrek...If they want to go downhill, it's their choice.
But maybe this is untrue and next year Disney will open the doors of their Third Golden Age with Tiana and her movie. This film has an extra plus because it's the return of 2D animation.

So I want these films to be The new Little Mermaid or Beauty and the Beast. And that will happen if Disney works on it's own. I want to see a piece of art, not a piece of garbage(these years the 2000 and on, have been terrible for the company)

As you can see I have a love-hate relationship with Disney :-D
But really if they mess up Narnia, Frog and Rapunzel, I myself will go and attack them :annoyed: Burn at the stake![/i]

Obviously, it will involve the Barbies from #2. In the outtakes the Prospector said something about getting them a part in #3, they have to honor that somehow. :teehee:

I never liked the Disney Pixar films much (except for Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc). It's just not Disney for me. I want the old classically animated musical films back! I am SO excited for The Priness and the Frog. I think it's going to be wonderful. Rapunzel should be interesting too - even if it is computer animated. It's going to look and feel very different with that new technique they're developing for it (the canvas/painting-like visual look).

I like both the animated and the computer animated Disney films. I wouldn't like to condemn the computer films because they aren't made the same way as the likes of Dumbo and Bambi. The stories would be just the same and just as good if the digital art was removed for the hand drawn type, so just because they look different, isn't really a good reason not to like them, but there do seem to be a lot of people who think like that. Same as people thnk you shouldn't use effects in a film ever. :eyeroll: But that's another rant for another day. :P

If it hadn't been for the success of the computer animated films, I doubt Disney would have the talent, resources or money to be able to *hopefully* get back on track with their best known form of animated films, the classic style.

Some more information about Frog Princess :) :

SPOILER:

Prince Levine goes to New Orleans in search of jazz. There he meets Tiana or Charlotte. In some way or another, he is turned into a frog. Tiana knows about this, and the Prince(or her Fairy Godmother) tells her that the spell must be broken if she kisses him. She doubts, but later accepts, and when she kisses him she is turned into a frog also. The frogs run away to the bayous, and in the journey they meet Louis, the aligator who plays jazz, and Ray, the romantic firefly. All of these events happen during the Mardi Grass.

OOOOH. Disney! YAAAAAAAAAAAY!

I'm gonna have to agree with Eru on everything she said.

Now while I don't have anything against the computer animated films (Finding Nemo is my second favourite Disney film EVER :P), there is DEFINATELY something different about them. Perhaps it has something to with the fact that they ain't musicals. XD But, there's something almost magical about the classic hand drawn ones. Ahhhhhhhh, the nostalgia of childhood. That's probably why they're so awesome. ;)

But I am kind of excited for this "Princess And The Frog." Thanks for the little blurb on what happens in that, Fae! :) I've been hearing about it for quite a while, and so I'm pretty darn excited!

I'm also kind of excited for Wall-E. The others I didn't know about until I saw this post. ANOTHER Toy Story? While I loved the first two, I don't know if there should be another. Disney does too many sequels. XD

^^^Your welcome. I know many are excited about this film so as long as everyone knows about it, it's better.
But the information can't be trusted. We will only know more about it when the first teaser trailer appears(I'm hoping that it comes with Bolt, or in the DVD of Tinker Bell or Little Mermaid 3).

I like a lot the design of Tiana, she looks alot like her voice actress, Anika Noni Rose. She'll fit with the other princesses quite nicely. And also I'm excited about Charlotte. Althought not the main character, she will be an impact, maybe the first second main female character in Disney, and she will a ''Diva''.You know, blonde, a bit dumb, passion for fashion.
