Janet let go a short laugh. She tilted her a head a little to the side and playfully looked him up and down. "You don't seem like much of a freak to me. Then again I don't look like one either until closer examination. What have you done to deserve that label?"

Talking to him seemed so easy. It was almost liked they'd been friends forever. There was a comfort a small comfort in his hand shake too. Janet could not make out what made him feel different. All she knew was he did.

"Well," Corban laughed slightly, "It's a bit complicated... I'll just say that I... Find it very easy to understand what people are thinking."

As he said this, he wasn't quite sure what she was thinking, which surprised him. Usually he didn't let down his guard this much. Had he said too much? Even as he thought this, though, he soon shooed the thoughts away. It was easy talking to her. For some reason, Corban felt as if he had just stumbled upon one of the better friendships of his life.

"Great! You can be my psychiatrist!" As she was speaking had been talking Janet had taken her moon pendant in between her fingers and began messing with it. She loved the cool feeling between her fingers. "So, do you live in this neighborhood?" If he did Janet was going to severely kick herself for not noticing him before and then go to the doctor and get her eyes checked.

Corban laughed at this. "Psychiastrist? I haven't had that opportunity lately..." He refrained from rolling his eyes. "Yes, I live a few blocks down from here." He shrugged. "Just walking home from school."

His face then contorted into a slight furrow when he spotted her pendant. Without thinking, he reached up to where he could feel his through his t-shirt. This was getting a bit odd.

Mandi continued through the forest where she had followed the boy. She had lost sight of him and had been lost for some times now. Finally she found the clearing where the three were. She saw a wolf next to a girl, and a boy- the boy she had been following -sitting on a pile of rocks. Clicking her tounge, she stepped out into the clearing not far from Ash and Trish.
"Um, I hope I'm not interupting anything here."

Trish was supprised by the girl's sudden apperance, and put a hand on Ash's neck when he barked. She didn't want anyone hurtt.
"Uh, no, you didn't walk in on anything. I was just leaving," she said, and left without a word. In her mind she wished greatly Ash would follow...

"Did you do that?" she asked, refering to the stone couch.

After awhile, Trish stopped by a small creek that could easily be stepped over. There she sat down on a rock beside the creek.
"Finally away from that awkward moment," she mumbled...

Now she was kicking herself. Really, how had she missed the fact that this boy lived a few blocks from her? She smiled at him more when she heard his laugh. It sounded nice. She hoped to hear it more. She raised her eyebrows when she saw Cordan's eyes on her pendant. "What?" Janet asked, "is my pendant that interesting?"

Corban didn't say anything for a moment as he decided whether or not to admit that he also had the same pendant. After a minute or two, he decided that he had nothing to lose. "Well," he started, pulling a cord from under his t-shirt - there was a pendant on the end. He held it up so that she could see. "I have the same one."

Janet slowly took Corban's pendant in her hand. She stared it for a minute then looked back to Corban. With confusion evident in voice, Janet asked, "Where did you get this?"

Corban shrugged after a moment of thought.

"I really don't know. I can't remember ever getting it - I've had it all my life, as far as I know." Corban looked at his own pendant for a moment, then he looked at Janet's. "Where you'd get yours?" To himself, Corban wondered if this was mere coincidence, or if there was something much deeper going on.

"I guess I'm like you. I just remember having it." A small smile crept over Janet's face. "I wonder if this is important? I mean, me meeting you? Though it is just a pedant." She looked back down at her own pendant. If this did mean something, what was the meaning? And how did Corban fit into it. She'd just met him. Was she connected to him in some way? No one could be having as weird a day as she was.

Corban fingered his own pendant.

"This is very strange..." He said, almost to himself. Suddenly, a thought came to him. "Perhaps," He said, "It marks... Well, us." He stood up straighter, his mind putting together the rest of the pieces of a theory. "Maybe we're... Special." Even to himself, he sounded stupid. "In some way. Can you think of anything that sets you apart, Janet?" As he asked this, Corban definetly think of one thing that would set him apart.
