Logan sat upright in his chair, his face clearly surprised at this announcement.
"You broke up?" he asked confused "When? Why didn't you come talk to me?" he asked more questions.
He rested back into the chair, and gave Rogue an understanding look and waited for her to talk.

Scott continued walking and made it inside the mansion with Cora. He sighed a bit and then looked over to her. "Are you hungry?" He asked her softly and shoved his hands into his pant pockets.

Marie shrugged a bit to Logan and sighed. "I didn't want to bore you with that stuff..." She told him softly and looked into his eyes, before looking away.

Cora perked up at the thought of food. "Sure food sounds like a nice idea. Now that I think of it, I haven't eaten since lunch yesterday. I tend not to eat alot, the peopel in the orphange always told me I should eat more regulary."

"Marie" Logan began, his voice unusually gentle "Isn't that what I'm here for?" he asked rhetorically "I'm your friend" he went silent for a few seconds in contemplation.
"I haven't been here a lot since" he paused and took a deep intake of breath "everything. For that I'm sorry, I should have been here for you"

Scott smiled to Cora and nodded to her. "To the kitchen it is, then." He said to her softly and then started walking her toward where the food was... and apparently where Logan and Marie were, because Scott saw them sitting and talking at the kitchen table. He stopped a bit in the doorway and looked between the two of them.

"Are we interrupting anything?" He asked the both of them softly.

Marie was about to answer Logan back, but then Scott and a Jean look-a-like walked into the kitchen. She just stared for a few moments at the girl and slowly shook her head.

"No... ya aren't interrupting anything." She told Scott softly and then looked back to Logan.

Cora smiled. "I'm Cora. But you could call me Phoenix if you want. Scott asked i was hungrey and here we are." She looked at Scott. "Storm told me your name earlier as we past your room."

"Hey!" Bobby exclaimed (as quietly as was possible for him to be), "Where are they going?? We better follow..."

"I'm not so sure that's a good idea Bobby...." Peter's words, however were lost to Bobby's one-track mind as the younger boy began scrambling through the leaves and weeds behind the wall in order to keep up with Scott and the Jean-clone.

Logan looked at Rogue's face. She was staring right past him, with a look of disbelief. He turned his head to face Scott and the girl and his face dropped. He felt his anger rise uncontrollably and he shot right up and pushed his chair back.
"Phoenix?" he said with hostility "Who in the hell do you think you are to use that name?" he said angrily, snapping his cigar out of his mouth sharply.

Logan barged past both of them and turned to Scott, pointing his cigar at him
"Didn't take you long huh, Slim?" and then stomped off visibly shaken.

Marie's eyes widened at Logan's sudden temper and then looked over to Cora quickly. "I'm so sorry about that. He's just having a hard time getting over Jean's death..." She said softly and then quickly got up from the table and followed after Logan. "LOGAN!" She yelled and tried to get his attention.

Scott took a deep breath and shook his head at Logan's behavior. "What an idiot..." He murmured under his breath and then walked further into the kitchen, heading for the fridge.

Logan stomped off out into the main hallway and towards the exit to the garden area. He could hear Rogue calling out to him from behind. He turned his head slightly to the left and then back ahead, pretending not to hear her voice.

His hands curled up into tight fists, his knuckles turning white with the pressure. Who the hell was that girl and why was she pretending to be Jean? He was infuriated, feeling as if Jean's memory was somehow being tarnished. He shook his head, trying to get her face out of his mind.

"Jean" he trailed off, the pain etched on his face and in his voice.

Cora sat down, confused. "Scott, who's Jean, and why is it so bad fr me to call myself Phoenix. I've called myself that since I discovered my fire abilaty." She said frowning at the memory the subject brought up.

Rogue ran faster and then finally caught up with him. "Logan, stop ignoring me!" She yelled to him, starting to get upset - her country accent appearing more. She grabbed hold of his arm and tried to stop him from walking fast. She wanted to talk to him about it.

Scott took a deep breath and looked down to the ground, when Cora asked what the significance was. "Jean... my wife. Her name was Phoenix before she died." He said painfully and swallowed hard. "You look exactly like her." He finished.

Logan stopped at the doorway to the garden as he felt Rogue's gloved hand on his arm. He looked down at her, her face etched with concern.
"What is it Rogue?" Logan asked her, trying to remain as calm as possible, but his heavy breathing was a tell tale sign all was not well with Wolverine.

Cora swallowed. "I'm sorry, I had no idea." She looked at her hands, her face had become bright red from the embaressment she felt, but she could also feel the guilt in her stomach.
