I think the album is officially 8.65 on iTunes; tax and everything included since I just got my "receipt" back...anywhoo, it's awesome, though I'm not real fond of any of the vocal songs but Switchfoot's "this is home"...

I usually don't like soundtracks with all that kind of stuff on it

This is awesome! So many people seeing it opening day or shortly after! :-D so really there won't be a HUGE need to worry about giving out spoilers because it sounds like most people will be seeing it.

Well, I don't have an iTunes account and I prefer to buy the whole CD anyway so I can get the cool booklet and stuff... :P but anyway I saw part of the This Is Home music video on tv today... it's so amazing! :-D

Did I join this club? Er, If not, I'm joining.

I'm not sure if I want the soundtrack or not, I like the music but I wish there were more Vocal songs. I'm not a fan of Switchfoot at all, I don't like them. I wish someone I do like was on the soundtrack(Though the only vocal song I've heard on this is the Switchfoot one). I have the LWW soundtrack but I don't listen to it much. I like a couple of the vocal songs on that one. "Can't Take It In" rocks. The vocal song with the guy singer was really bad though, I forget the name of it.

you mean "Winter Light" by Tim Finn? I'm not a fan of that one either. I wish they would have had "Where" by Lisbeth Scott in the movie instead but since it's so short Iguess that was a problem.

I don't like Switchfoot either *I findc most of their songs annoying* but I love their song. But the other three, I really wish they would have gotten people who can sing better. :annoyed:

Clubs move way too fast for me... :teehee:

Sooo, I did watch LWW. :P *squees about it with PD* ;) I actually forgot how amazing it was. :D Really, superly hyped about PC now! :bounce: Lucky people who get to see it tomorrow... You must give us a detailed review.

Ooh, and are we talking about the soundtrack now? Well, I haven't heard to PC one, but the music of LWW is awesome. :D I need to get the sheet music for it or something...

And, lastly, I've been whipping through the Narnia books. In the past 5 days I've read Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Horse and his Boy, and The Silver Chair. :D Out of those three, I must say I live VotDT the best.

Anyhoo, that's all from TT for now...

:bye:

I think I've had a tad too much sugar too. ;)

I watched LWW Tuesday night and I agree; I had forgotten how much I love it and why. I even cried again when Aslan died! I'm only to like chapter 5 of PC so I'll be cramming tomorrow when we're going to town to see the movie, lol.

I'll definitely be sure to post my thoughts on the movie, but I don't want to reveal TOO much. ;)

I know. That scene is so... sad. :'( Perfectly acted too. :)
I'm sure you'll be able to; those books are relatively short, and an easy and enjoyable read.

What time are you going at? Well, I suppose you're right. Don't reveal too much... just enough. ;)

Isn't it wonderful to re-watch old movies and fall in love with them all over again? Anyway, for anyone who wants my thoughts on PC can just look in the Prince Caspian thread in the Movie Section. ;) I don't think I need to post it all over again. lol

Anyway, I LOVED PC!! It was everything I had thought it would be, nothing like what I had feared it would be, and it met all of my expectations quite well. although the music really didn't stand out to me, I must say. It sounded very much like LWW, but oh well. Prince Caspian (both the movie and the charrie ;)) PWNED!!!! :bounce:

I just can't wait til VODT comes out! That one is going to be SO amazing in movie form! I can just feel it! May 7th, my friends, May 7th. :P

although I can't imagine how sad I will be at the end of that one... because then NONE of the Pevensies are gonna come back. :'( I was sad enough with the end of PC where you finally realize the Narnian Journey is over for Peter and Susan... :erm: the poor guys! *huggles them* me wuve all of my Pevensies... and Caspian!

It is wonderful.

It's great to hear such a positive review. I'm so happy. :D About PC (the actor, well, Ben Barnes, technically ;)), I'm hearing him being called the "Orlando Bloom of the future". :teehee: Which... well, depends if you like OB or not. ;) But, from what I've seen, he seems to own the part. :)

Is VotDT coming out on May 7th, 2010? Seems so far away...

Okay, I just finished reading The Last Battle... :'( That was probably the most beautiful of all the books. There are so many wondrful quotes that I made a mark of and will have to do something with. The ending's perfect. Bitter-sweet. :) Although, erm, Susan is pretty hard to accept. :erm:

oh boy, where do I start?! First off, the entire film was just amazing. I became so absorbed in it from minute one. The whole start of the film is very fast-paced and exciting. The whole film was, and I felt like there wasn't enough, lol. Now I just want to go back and see it millions of times over.

Secondly, the cast did an awesome job. However, with Queen Prunaprismia. Didn't she have RED hair in the book? And, what is with the Telmarines' having a Spanish leaning??? I mean, other than Queen P. the Telmarines' were fine.

The looks were okay, the accents related too much to Earth, but I guess since the Telmarines' came to Narnia from our world, they could have spanish influences *shrugs*

anywhoo, on to the actual film itself. Aslan was GIGANTIC, even bigger than film 1. HIs and Lucy's interaction had to be some of the most touching moments in the movie.

*there could be spoilers below, so don't read if you haven't seen the film yet, or read at your own risk*

Susan-Caspian flirtation and relationship: not bad at all.

It was well-handled, and I think the flirtation made sense *come on, Ben barnes is so hot!*

the Peter vs. Caspian thing: also well-done. I think that it was more realistic for Peter to be the more jealous, "selfish" type of person since he had to come to grips with the fact that he WASN'T the hIgh King anymore; Caspian was heir to the throne.

the Narnians: wow, they look much better in this film than LWW. I thought Reepicheep and Pattertwig were so awesome. Especially Reep and two of his mice tying up a cat in the castle! Priceless! One heart-wrenching moment, though, was when after the raid in the castle, Peter, Caspian, Susan, and some of the other Narnians made it out of the castle alive, but a lot didn't. They were trapped behind the gate, and Peter watched helplessly as all of them were shot with arrows. It was especially heartwrenching to watch Glenstorm's wife realize she had lost one or more of her sons in the battle.

the appearance of the White Witch: really surprised it was as short as it was. I think I would have preferred to see the hag, wer-wolf, added in more and for a logner period of time. OH well, can't have everything, can we? anyway, back to the WW: the hag summoned up the WW and she appeared in a sheet of ice. She summoned Caspian to give her some of his blood in order to release her from her prison. Peter, Lucy, *possibly Susan* arrive underground *they had been there for a while anyway* and Peter stops caspian, but then the WW calls to Peter and it seems like he too is in a trance. Just when you think all is lost, the WW acts like she's been stabbed and the ice shatters, revealing Edmund to have stabbed the sheet of ice from the back.

Poetic justice, don't you think?

overalll, the film and score was amazing, and the effects equally so.

I can't wait to see the movie again

On to the allegories: certainly NOT as obvious as LWW, but there nonetheless. Something that struck me especially: in the scene mentioned above, there is a Portrait of aslan on the back wall, which, when the ice was shattered, Peter saw it. Isn't it true for us? when we take our own eyes of Christ, and focus it on the world, we get into trouble. We'll even do things we wouldn't normally do because we're relying on our own strength and not on God's timing and His strength. It's true for the world. The world *America in particular*; or rather the inhabitants, have taken their eyes off Christ and focused it on other things *i.e. other religions, alcohol, sex, drugs, etc...*

In the book, there's a line: "But she forgot them when Lucy fixed her eyes on Aslan." How much more do we need to fix our eyes on Aslan, Jesus Christ. Once we take our eyes off him, we too will fall into darkness, just as Narnia fell when the Pevensies went back to their own world and the citizens turned away from their belief in Aslan.

that's my review *I have posted it on several sites, lol* hope that wasn't too spoiler-filled. :)

TT, it seems like everyone's been giving it wonderful reviews. which I'm really happy about too... it seems as though they handled everything with class. :) Really? I haven't heard Caspian called the "Orlando Bloom of the future". that's just insane. They're two completely different people... and I like both of the characters they portray in a different way. :teehee: oh yes, Ben does OWN the part of Caspian. :notworthy:

That is what I've heard... and supposedly back in 2006 they predicted PC would be coming out in May 16th, 2008, so they seem to be pretty predictable.

LB is the saddest ever! :'( and Susan being the only one living in the end is hard... but I guess I can see why she might've turned. And it seemed as though they kinda showed that in PC the movie. They showed her growing a little more distant from Narnia and a little more acceptant of the Real World. :(

LoR! Yay! I'm happy you got to see it! :-D

Petra, I want to see it at least once more too... :erm: although the beginning being so fast-paced was a little... too fast for me. I mean I know why they did it but I was slightly disappointed they didn't tell more about Caspian's escape or the Pevensies discovering the ruins were Cair Paravel. But I guess they explained it as the movie went on so it all worked out.

I know! I was happy they're having Aslan grow like he does in the book.

and I think I've commented on the rest, haven't I? ;) :P

Caspian: Your a mouse.
Reepicheep: I was hoping for something a little more original.

Telmarine soldier: Your a mouse.
Reepicheep: You people have no imagination.

:-D

^ LOVE IT!

If I get to go see PC again I shall be taking a notebook and a pen to jot down all of these amazing quotes. :teehee:
