i'd do anything results. i simply cannot see why the panel think sam is so good. i've never liked her, but last night's performance reached new heights of terribleness. she absolutely massacred defying gravity - her vocal was terrible, and she clearly didn't understand the song or why the character was singing it. having said that, i don't think any of them are that great - jessie has a wonderful voice but can't act or dance; rachel swings betwen dull and over the top; and while jodie's the best one for the part out of the four that are left, she's still nothing special. i still believe sarah should have been nancy, and andrew's a fool for letting her go. at least they've still got some talented olivers left - i have my fingers crossed for chester, harry, and alexander.

I like Jodie, and I've always liked her. She's got personality that isn't put on, and I believe she is genuine. She's also a champion for all the larger women out there, that have talent but are afraid they can't follow their dreams because they're not a size 0. I don't care if she would be the stereotypical Nancy - I want Nancy to be traditional and not modern. Jodie to win.
Jessie. *hiss* I just want to slap her, I cannot stand this woman. There's something about her attitude that is arrogant and false. Like tonight when she did a double take and the whole "you... mean... me?!" when she got told she was through. Completely fake and she can't do a Cockney accent for the life of her.
The others are.. meh... I liked Sarah and Keisha, and I don't really know why Sarah went. I just hope anyone other than Jessie wins as I think I'll throw the TV at her.

i want a traditional nancy too - it wouldn't make sense to have a modern woman in a musical set in the nineteenth century - which is why i think jodie should win out of the four left. however, i've seen a lot of musicals and i just don't think she has that magic when she performs that is the mark of a true leading lady.
i have to disagree with you about jessie - i don't think she's fake at all. and it doesn't bother me in the slightest that she can't do a cockney accent - london is such a metropolitan city that, as andrew has said, nancy could quite easily have been irish (i know i said i want a traditional nancy, but the accent is the one concession i'd be willing to make - as long as the character is played right). the problem i have with her is that she's clearly not very comfortable moving on stage, and she seems to have struggled in all the acting challenges so i dont think she would play the character right.
do you have any preferences as to the olivers?

Doctor Who - The Unicorn and the Wasp
(and you know, I totally let Donna get away with that kiss, and I didn't get mad at all, like my other friends did. )
