Larain watched the others walk of. She had now returned to her more quiet self, and made her way to the opposite side of the room. She took a left between two book cases and started scanning the shelves. She found herself in the middle of old biographies of long dead people.

There was a red leather bound book. She pulled it off the shelf and opened it to the title page.
"Is the book possibly a biography of King Henry VII?" Larain called. She suddenly dropped the book when she heard Kira scream.

With a glare to no one in particular, she picked up the book again, and placed it back on the shelf. A spider? So what? As long as it wasn't dangerous, spiders were almost interesting. Especially daddy long legs. Larain had to smile at remembering of her days of finding those spiders with small bodies and long stringy legs, just to rip the legs off...

The first book Jacen came to with a red cover was 'A modern encyclopedia of Metallurgy'. He opened the cover to read the print year...
'First edition... 1824... So much for modern...' He mumbled while placing the book back onto the shelf. Looking around for another he was abruptly brought to a halt by a screech from Kira, running over he noticed the spider crawling up her leg. He swiftly swatted it aside and crushed it with his foot. Turning to Kira he hissed.
'Shhhhh.... it's just a spider. You want us to get shifted out of here before we can find anything!?' He knelt down side her and picked up the book she was reading from the ground where it had fallen. Placing it back on her lap he looked up at her. His eyes and voice softened somewhat, 'Just keep it down... ok?'

Mrs. Allan glided into the Library with a cool serenity on her face and an icy gaze that put any pupil off approaching her. She made her way toward Miss. Cook like an arrow.
'Good day Miss. Cook.' She mused, almost seeming absent minded in her demeanour. 'I hear you have been having some trouble with one or two pupils of late?'
Miss. Cook was still furious and flustered after her encounter with Jacen but the mere presence of Mrs. Allan sent shivers down her back. She began dry wiping her hands, looking every which way then toward the dominating woman. 'I.. um yes well... No it's nothing really Mrs. Allan. I wouldn't want to put you out of your wa-'
Mrs. Allan done little to raise her voice yet the firmness in her tone belied her cool, serene gaze. A gaze that would freeze blood. 'Now speak up with it Miss. Cook. You do not want to keep me waiting. Where is Jacen Bradshaw?'
Miss. Cook looked up at the intent eyes of Mrs. Allan and was snared, with no way out she buckled. 'He's up on the second floor, with a few friends... they are looking for a book... a very old book.'
The Librarian hadn't even finished her sentence before Mrs. Allan was making her way toward the stairwell...

Matt smiled when he heard Kira scream about the spiders. He had to remember that one, it could be of some use later on.. He was about to move to the next bookshelve (for the first one was ony filled with leather book and though he did like the covers he had to look for a red cover instead) he heard soft footsteps on the first staircase. Soft as if they didn't wanted to be noticed so Matt, curious as he was, looked down the balustrade to find to his surprise that Mrs Allan on the first floor, gazing up now and then. Her complexion almost matched with that of a tomato and she was panting while standing with her hands on her waist.
"Yo! People listen up Matt hissed. Since when is that Allan woman doing exercises in the Library?"

Larain was reaching for another book, when she heard Matt's hiss. But just barely. She froze in mid reach, her mind whirring. Why would Mrs. Allen come up to the second floor of the library? Wouldn't she just send one of her pets?

The book, the thought crossed her mind, and froze at the front of it. I bet the teacher doesn't want us to find the book... why else would Don have been so secretive about it and just pass a note?

Now that she thought about it, Don had glanced around when passing her the note. Well, Larain didn't want to back caught in the middle of all this mess. She snaked her way to the farthest, darkest corner of the room, with many bookshelves between her and the stairs. Maybe if she was quiet, the others would forget she was there, and Mrs. Allen would know she was there, either...

Jacen didn't hear the call from Matt, he looked up to see Larain skulking off out of sight into the corner, fear and trepidation etched across her timid eyes. Confused, Jacen got to his feet, only to feel a hand land on his shoulder.
'Ah, hello Jacen Bradshaw.' Mrs. Allan mused, turning the boy around to face her wintery glare. 'Just the boy I was looking for... it distresses me to hear you had an argument with dear old Mrs. Cook. I'm sure it wasn't either of your faults... probably something to do with your fall I think hmm? Well I have something for you Jacen... you and your friends.' Her gaze met with Kira's for a split second before returning to Jacen. 'Where are the others?' Her smile was warm and welcoming but it did not reach her eyes, with those she was weighing up Jacen and Kira... like a vulture would her prey.
'I... uh...' seeing no way out for himself or Kira, Jacen gave in... 'It's just the two of us, there was another lad up here earlier but he ran downstairs after he heard the shouting. I think I scared him away.'
Mrs. Allan seemed to ponder Jacen for a second before briefly scanning the library... 'hmm... very well. Well come along then. You wouldn't want to keep me waiting now... would you?'

Kira stood motionless and hopeless with the Physics book laying on the edge of her fingers. It was not until Jacen gave her a look of reassurance that Kira finally strolled forward to follow behind Mrs. Allan confused and lost as to what was going on.

(Unfortunately there is nothing more Kira can really do. So, I am afraid I am going to have to pass the pon off to you Turin.)

(This all looks great; but i'm slightly confused as to the nature of this RP now. Obs it seems as if there is some great secret being kept from the students and that is one storyline. But i feel slightly as if the rest of us who arn't part of that story are just acting as background noise. I hope I havn't offended anyone by saying this; but i just wondered how it was all gonna work out?)

Mary groned "Your kidding? Oh God i could be doing sooo many other things right now. We know this..." she turned and glared slightly at the rest of the choir "...it just seems that everyone else can't be botherd to practise."
She glanced over through into the empty adjoining music room; stocked with computers containing composition programms. She could be there right now, or she could ever be writeing an analysis of her latest peice; but no. She was stuck here with a load of kids who couldn't be botherd to tkae thier music seriousely.

"I wish I was," Kathryn whispered back. "After yesterday, I went over this piece several times this morning just so I would have to ready" she sighed heavily then remembering the rubuke she had been given by Mrs. Alford. "Talk about being able to perform this song in your sleep," Just as Kathryn finished her last statement, the bell rang. "Thank God." Kathryn muttered, relieved to finally be able to escape the drudgery.

After a long period of math, Don left his seat to go to the hall. He wondered if Larain had found the book. Last night it had come to him in a dream. He was just walking through the library, and there was the book. Just floating right infront of him. He had tried to grab it but it had dissapeared, and then he woke up.

Don even wondered if the book existed or if it was just an over active imagination. He then noticed Kathryn coming out of the choir room, and went over.
"Hey, whats goin on? What yeah got next?" he asked...
