Foreman smiled at Mia and nodded. "Yes...pretty much. There has to be only a few symptoms which don't quite fit together. He looked over to House who was still scribbling on the board without even talking to one in the room. "And I'm, telling you...your uncle knows how to make it interesting."

"Well, could it be she did it to herself? Her mother obviously neglected her, so maybe she took something which caused these syntoms, something we didn't find in the tox screen yet. Maybe...she wanted to get sick...so she could finally make her mother to pay attention to her, to worry about her. The boyfriend told us she was probably suicidal, and like Cameron said, she worked almost round the clock, so she didn't knew what she was doing... so this could be an oppertunity."

Chase frowned. "Okay you don't tell Foreman to get out of his box?" he asked House. "Obviously this kid seems able to be suicidal but she couldn't cause a tumor in her head. She must have been sick already..."

Cameron listened quietly to both Foreman and Chase and then said to House. "The only way one can cause a brain tumor is by being exposed to great amounts of vinyl chloride, so unless she smokes many packs of sigarettes a day or she works in a facotry nearby with that toxin. But anyway, she can be tested for that. If the test is negative, we know she was sick already."
She looked up, quite satisfied with her theory.

"I like Foreman better," House told Chase flatly. "He's less...whiny."
He turned next to Cameron. "She may not have caused the tumour intentionally, but she may have exaserbated it. Did anyone think to ask the mother if the family has a history of cancer? Did anyone think to ask the mother if the kid spends a lot of time near computers or on her cell phone?"
