"Kira...Kira..." Mary throught for a few minits. "I think our rooms are on the same floor. American? Maths yeah?" She stood up and moved slightly in to the light. "Sorry. Didn't recognise you." She gave a weak smile before moveing back into the shadows so her smudged makeup couldnt be seen as her voice resumed its defensive tone.
"What are you doing in here?"

Matt raised his eyebrows as he heared Larain's speech. She was obviously knew well enough what to do to boss her brother around. With a smirk he patted Don on the shoulder and said: "Cheers mate!" Then he turned and left the Library.

After he caught up with Larain he stopped her and said: "Hold on! Who put you in charge here?" And before she could reply he answered: "Right, no one"

Matt took time to light up another cigarette and muttered "That Allan woman probably gives them detention for a stupid reason. We need to get them out. " He inhaled deeply and then his eye fell on the smook detectors. Matt's face lit up.

"Do you think what I think?"

"Why I'm here?" Kira was taken back for a moment. The fact that there was someone else in the power room meant she had to restart her logic processing, "Oh, yes, I'm here because.. well Jacen was trying to find some book, and we were caught upstairs in the library, and.. man, I'm sorry. I am really sucking at explaining this. But, to sum it up, apparently Mrs. Allen wants to talk to Jacen and I about this book because we are not supposed to know about it or something. That is the best I can come up with, as weird as that sounds."

Kira paused for a moment. She thought to ask the girl why she was in the power room as a sort of attack back for infringing on her private life, but, seeing that the girl did not want to be noticied, Kira decided it would be best not to ask anything but continue with her plan asking, "Right now. I just need a distraction. There has got to be something in this power room to get the teachers worked up for long enough to escape."

Larain opened her mouth to reply to Matt's comments, but he never gave her the chance. Then he pulled out a cigarett, and was looking at something and wondering if she was thinking what he was thinking. So she followed his gaze to the smoke detector, then back to his cigarett.

"I think I'm thinking what you're thinking. Set the alarm off, right? That'd get everyone out," Larain said, starting to wonder why she got sucked into the mess in the first place. Persionally she blamed Don...

"Nope" Matt smiled. "That's the coolest thing. See, the school is divided in seperate section. If the smook detector goes off on the first floor, only that section will be alarmed." Matt glanced at Larain, checking if she was as excited about this as he was.

"Aah.." he said with a sigh, exhaling a puff of smook. "Wouldn't it be great to do that in the west wing where the teacher's quarters are.. and the detention rooms."

“A book we’re not supposed to know about? And one that Mrs Allen herself will protect?” Mary gave a low chuckle. “Sounds interesting…Look kid, I know how to distract the teachers and I know where you can hide; but I want to know everything.” Mary stepped foreword so she could be completely seen and held out her hand to Kira; “Do we have a deal?”

Mary didn’t know quite why she was offering to sabotage the school and help out a girl she knew nothing of; just in exchange for information; but she knew it was going to be fun whatever it was. Plus she was fed up with John only agreeing to hang out with her if it involved the opportunity to sleep with some girl and her music class being ridiculously incompetent. Tonight she swore; once she’d helped Kira she was going to get ridiculously drunk at the pub. So armed with her devil may care attitude she wiped the tears from her eyes with her other hand and flashed a grin at Kira.

"Oh yeah, I had forgotten about that," Larain said with a small smile. "It will be just like my first year here."

She couldn't help but remember that faitfull year. She had set off the smoke alarm in the dorms because back then she had been somewhat of a pyromaniack. But the grusome two months of detention that followed, she had grown out of that. Usually it wouldn't have been that long, but there were too many complaints of persional stuff being destroyed by the water...

Seeing no immediate room for negotiation, Kira gave in, "Yes, we have a deal. What would youi like to know?"

Kira tucked a small piece of hair that kept falling out behind her right ear and bit her lip in anticipation as to whether she did the right thing.

"I want to know what the book is, why you were trying to find it, i'm presumeing Allen has your freinds but i want to know why." She grinned as she relased Kira's hand "Basically i want to know the whole story; but i'm guessing this isn't the best time. Lets get you out of here first." She crossed to the other side of the power room and let her hand hand over a red wire.

"I'v spent hours here over the years; i know where each of these wires gose; what each switch acctivates. Now this one? I THINK it sets off an alarm; and alarm in the staff room only. Now why would they have one of those do you think?" She snapped the wire in half and a red light flashed on.

It was in a map of the school and was set in the place where the staff room should be. A low humming suddenly started comeing form the speakers outside. "Now i'm guessing every teacher in the school is rushing to the staff room; leaveing us to escape unoticed.

Just as she said that there was the sound of hurried footsteps passing. Once they had gone Mary poked her head out. "Ok its clear; you comeing kid?"

"Aah" Matt smiled "A fellow pyromaniac.. I almost thought I was the only one on this earth with this trauma.."

In the mean time they'd reached the door which led to the teacher's quarters with the feared sign: Students not allowed except for detention.

"Come on" Matt said, beaming, and he opened the door dragging Larain with him to the first room on their left side, closing the door swiftly, locking it.

They were in a toilet with a surface of perhaps 1,5 by 1,5 metre, barely enough space for two people to stand. "Sst.. listen." Matt quickly started nervously, searching Larain's eyes in the dark. "This ain't what you think it is. I just knew there was a toilet here.. and.." he looked up at the ceiling where a white smook detector was positioned "here we couldn't be spotted by a teacher... setting the alarm off I mean." God Matt thought first time I ever dragged a girl into the toilet and I'm not even making out.

Since Matt didn't know what to do with himself for a moment he offered Larain his cigarette. "After you madam.."

[Lol, so now Mary and Kira set off the alarm and Matt and Larain are goign to sett the smook detectors of? I guess there will be hell to pay

I was cured all right.

(Yeah, too bad Turin isn't here in all of this.. I think I will mention where he goes in this post, but we really shouldn't find him until he comes back.)

Kira was being to become aggrevated with this girl calling her "kid" over and over again, but it was not the time to erupt about the supressment she was enduring from the dictation of wording. "Yes, I am," Kira gulped out and quickly followed behind the girl.

Mrs. Allen stood strong glaring at Jacen with her hawk eyes.

"My god, that girl is not back yet. How long does it take for one student to go to the bathroom?"

"If the student is a girl, it can take awhile," Jacen pointed out only to be shot down by Mrs. Allen.

Not wanting to wait anymore, Mrs. Allen hushed Jacen forward, "Come on boy. I will send some people after her later."

Mrs. Allen lead Jacen down the rest of that hallway and 3/4ths of the way down a proceeding one to open a door and instruct Jacen to sit in a chair facing the desk.

Jacen unwilling obeyed and eyed the room while Mrs. Allen whisphered into the ear of the person sitting in the rolling chair with his back facing Jacen.

"I see," the person comforted Mrs. Allen, and Mrs. Allen took a few steps back to admire her progress and then left the room at the movement of the man's hand.

"hmm. I don't believe I have come across a book like that before, but then again, I don't spend all my time in the library. We could always ask Miss Cook, or we could just go and look for it" Kathryn stated simply.
