Elizemere watched from the corner she was resting in... she would return to fighting in a moment... she just need to regain some of her strength. She stood and walked into the light again. She looked quickly around for danger and then changed her form to human once more. She put her hand to the scar on her right shoulder, wincing at the shadow pain... She looked around searching the ruin for danger... instead she caught sight of Galain as he also searched the damage. She smiled sightly as she wondered if he had seen her change forms.
She started scanning the village again as she pushed her black braids from her face. Her green eyes twiched as she saw a monster heading away from the village. Without a second thought she fased and jumped sinking her teeth into the back of his neck... she jumped away as he fell and she fased back panting... she was more tired than she had thought... she swayed and found a wall to support her weight...

Minna, Dune and Riko said nothing all through the conversation, but as soon as everyone took off, so did they. Dune transformed into a hawk, Minna into a dragon, and Riko rode on his sea serpent. They jumped into the fight almost immediately. Dune ripped out the eyes of his enemies. Minna lumbered into the battle as a dragon, knocking people out of her way and Riko slashed with his sword.
Minna soon transformed back into her human form and blew away one of the monsters that had charged her. She was panting heavily, Oh dear...the damage has already been done. She glanced around, watching patiently as her allies fought bravily.

Sierra ran into no more of those creatures. They seemed to had all vanished or fled. She made her way to her home, a walled building near the edge of town. The gates were on broken hinges, and the building burned to the ground. The beautiful garden that once stood in the wall around the house was trampled and soiled. Sierra payed her respects to her now deceased family, and went off in search of the others. They needed to figure out what was going on.

Vincent had heard the call for the elementals. The druid had never persionally met anyone of that race. The call sounded desprate. He made his way down the road towards the valley where the elementals usually lived in a small village. Coming to the crest of a hill, he beheld the horrible site that was now the village. Burning and burned houses littered the area. He could see the figures of the elementals fighting large creatures. He also saw animals fightings. Was that a panther? And that a wolf? Vincent started forward to get a closer look, and possibly help...

From her position in the sky Callisto could see what remained of the dark army retreat into the woods. But it was already to late to save their kin. The stench of spilled blood filled the air as the black smoke rose up to the heavens.
Mistress? Este questioned.
Let them go, let us tend to our kin.
With a whinny, Este flew into the direction of their home.

From on top of a strong tree branch, Darian turned his attention to the heavens at the howl of the retreating monsters.
"Here that, Thalion?" he questioned the griffin who cawed a response.
“Sounds like trouble. We had better investigate. With that he leapt to the ground and then climbed upon the back of his friend. Without any urging the griffin rose to the air in the direction of the elemental village.

((*catching up post))
Fierya ran into the alleyways of the city, knowning them well. Her strong forelegs helped move with great balance and speed as she smelt for the enemies scent.
The only one she could smell was blood.
That was not good. Fierya contiuned to run, hard, through the streets she had just left moments before to answer the call. Hump....I should have just stayed here. She thought as she finally found what she was looking for. What what was, though, was another question entirely.
It was large, and hairy. Big muscles and the outlines of bones crept through the skin. It's back was turned to her, for it was concentrating on its prey that it had just captured; a soldier from the village. Fierya stopped as she examined it's claws and the size of its - what? Hands, paws? She couldn't tell. But, no more time for examination now. Fierya growled, a low, menancing sound, and leapted into the air just as the beast turned to see what the noise one. She landed on its face, her claws stretched out and ripping at its face. It dropped the soldier and grabbed her waist, howling in pain, and lifted her off and threw her against a stone buildings side.
Fierya howled in pain herself, hearing something crack as she hit the wall. She lost all feeling in her left leg and knew it was broken. Her yellow eyes suddenly turned red as she used all her effort to jump at the beast again, ignoring any pain that exploded from her leg. She bite the beast in its neck and then, using her claws, started to twist it's neck. Before she could deliver the death blow, however, the beast swung one of its giant claws and hit her on the side, going in an upward motion, hiting her face as well. But that motion also completed turning his head, and the beast fell onto the ground, motionless. Fierya landed also, and from the pain, shifted immediately back into human form.
Her head was bloody, along with her waist, both with deep gashes. Her left leg was broken at the knee. Other than that, she was dandy. She looked around, seeing the soldier staring at her, terrifyed, before he took off and ran. Her eyes were now a faded red color, slowly turning to a light blue. She tried to move, but her leg wasn't very helpful. If she could shift into a falcon or bird of some sort, then she could make it out, just not land very well, but she was losing blood quickly. She had to stop the bloodflow.
Fierya started to rip off some of her shirt to put pressure on her wounds, hoping nothing else came up upon her in this weakened state. Damn, I need to start training in combat again. She thought.

Aelus ran up to another monster, using the element of surprise to fell the huge beast. His side was bloody; he had taken a hit from a large battle-axe. His paws were wearing down, and he knew that he would sooner or later shift back to human form.
Panting heavily, Aelus ran into an alleyway, following one of the creatures. Oh no you don't. he thought, using a large burst of energy to pounce atop the animal. After a small struggle, it was on the ground.
It was then that he spotted Fierya. She looked terrible. He knew that, if she, an elemental, died, it would only spell more disaster. He quickly shifted into human form - his dark tunic was stained with crimson, and blood poored down his right temple. He quickly went over to Fierya, drawing a clowd of shadow over them to cloak them from the eyes of their enemies.
"How are you hurt?" He asked, rushed, but concerned.

"My pride is hurt the most, but I doubt you could heal that, now can you?" Fierya asked before she even looked at the person talking, and then when she did, she regretted the sarcasm.
"Oh."
There they were again - those eyes. She remembered them, so vividly, yet...she just couldn't place it. But that wasn't the matter at hand at the moment; she would worry about it later.
"Um...well," She began, looking herself over, "I have a gash on my head and my waist and my leg is broken. And my pride and honor is shattered. And I feel utterly stupid, really! I deserve what I got." She concluded. "Are you okay? You have a gash on your head..." She told him, in case he didn't know.

Aelus tried to glance to the edge of his vision where he could barely see a trail of red falling down his face. "Yes, I was aware that." He said, smiling a bit. He sighed, then, examining her injuries. "I can't heal your pride, and, unfortunately, I can't heal this either." He motioned toward her leg. "But I can help set it." An unhuman, loud howl sounded. He jerked. "In the meantime, however, this is no place for you." Then, without a word, he picked Fierya up, one hand beneath her back, one at the fold of her knees - careful of her injury , of course.
He then headed deeper into the woods - as things were, their enemies, whoever they were, probably would not flee into the woods. These particular woods were a place subject to extreme superstition. He cloaked himself and his charge in shadow as he moved her to a smal hollowed out space beneath a tree. He carefully set her down.
"I'm sorry about that." He said, catching his breath. "I suppose we haven't been introduced. He extended his hand, his knuckles slightly bloody, "I am Aelus."

Elizemere leaned against the wall, panting. She watched for danger as she rested never letting her guard down. She knew it would mean death if she did...
Her body changed as she sat but slowly for her strength was fading quickly. She stood and moved into the forest for she would do no more good in the fight. Her body was healing, a gift that came with her shape-shifting. She could feel the pain retreating to the edges of her awareness... till only one remained... the shadow of a wound so great she would never heal...

Callisto flew in the direction of her home, silver tears brimming in her blue eyes, threatening to fall.
They are all gone. I can feel it. she thought in despair.
Do not give up hope yet, mistress. Este told her gently. Look out, we have company. she added.
With that Callisto turned as a young man upon a griffin flew alongside them.
"Are you alright, maiden?" he asked gently, noticing the tears in her eyes.
"I look for my kin," she said in response, her voice taut.
He could be an enemy, Este warned her telepathically.
Reading the pegasus’s thoughts, Darian spoke again, hoping to allay the creature’s fears. "I mean you no harm," he said gently as the horse turned to shoot him a look.
Callisto ignored the interaction taking place, her heart numb as she scanned the destruction from the skies.
"Let me help you search for them," Darian said again after a long moment of silence. Before Callisto could summon the frame of mind to answer, she spotted the wreckage of her home. "There's nothing you can do" she said as she choked back a sob and urged Este into a decent-Darian following close behind.

Minna yelped as one of the creatures tore a hole in her,"Kiki!!" Her dragon roared her anger, she was unable to help Minna for the moment.
"Teika!!"
The Merman's sea serpant sent worried pangs of thoughts through the young elemental, she too, was unable to help.
Minna yelped again and swore, she was hurt again,"Too...much blood...." She fainted, unable to hold up any longer,"Sombody....Help..."

Fierya was about to say something when he picked her up.
Well, can we say unexpected? She thought, but surprisingly, she wasn't angry that he did that for her, nor did she feel weak or dishonored. She didn't mind it. Which was really weird, especailly for her.
She smiled slightly and said, "Well, I will forgive you this time, but only because it was quicker than if I did that myself." She grinned then, and winced a little in pain, before taking his hand in her own. A nice, firm grip. Good. "My name is Fierya. A pleasure to have meet you, Aelus." She said, the name not so familuar...but those eyes...

Ah. Aelus thought. So it is her... Fierya Longshanks... It's been a while. Indeed, it had been a long while. And, Aelus noticed with just the tiniest blush, Fierya had certainly... Grown up in his absence. When he knew her, she was only seven. He was twelve. She was his charge, and he was a young apprentice.
But that was ten years ago. This was now. Shaking himself out of it, he went about finding some straight, flattened sticks. Once he found what he was looking for, he came back over to her. He ripped to long strips from his shirt, and set all of the objects out before him.
"This will hurt." He warned her, before slowly, carefully set her leg. He winced as he heard the bones grind together. "Sorry." He appologied as he splinted her leg. "I would give you something for the pain, if I had it."
It was then that his head started to tickle. He reached up, and his hand came away wet with thick blood. He groaned, remembering his own injuries. Oh, bother. he thought wryly.

Fierya was looking at Aelus as he was silent, a lost look in his eyes. She was about to say something when he went to go and get sticks. She watched him work and then heard his warning, and she braced herself, heeding it. But, as her bones cracked, she cried out against her will and clutched onto Aelus arm, buring her face into his shoulder until the pain was gone. She gasped lightly and sighed heavily.
"Thank you." She said, letting go of his arm and looking back at him. She noticed the blood on his forehead and knew that had to be worked on. "I can help with that." She told him, referring to his forehead. "Only if you like, though." She added.

Aelus, though it was hidden well by the shadow, blushed as she grabbed his arm. It was rather awkward, being this close to a beatiful woman whom he knew when she was just a child. Even harder still was seeing Fierya Longshanks as anyone besides the pale-skinned seven year old he had known in his youth.
"Oh." He said, slightly surprised by her offer to help. "Well, thank you. I can't exactly see my own head, so... Help would be appreciated."

Fierya nodded.
"A pleasure. And, I guess you deserve it, don't you, for fixing my leg?" She smiled slightly before taking out her dagger that she kept in her pocket and cutting off part of her shirt.
"Now, I don't have any water, so we will have to cleanse it later, but this will at least stop the bleeding." She said and moved behind Aelus, wrapping the 'bandage' gently around his head. Her hands were smooth despite being a warrior and a Shifter. She tied it in a knot in the back and tucked the small knot into the back of the bandage, so it wouldn't bother him.
"It's not much, but it should help, I hope." She said, coming back in front of him to sit down.
