Corban blinked at the question. "Well, not that much." He said, "You're a girl who is in my english class. Your name is Janet, you can move things with your mind. You have a pendant that is just like mine, you are the only person I know that holds my powers against me, you have brownish hair... Brown eyes... You're very pretty..." Corban blushed and clamped his jaw shut. He hadn't meant to have said that last one out loud.

Ok, so that wasn't so bad. She kind of liked the "very pretty" part. For his sake she figured she'd ignore that last comment. She couldn't help but notice he was cute when he blushed. "Ok, so none of my top secret stuff," Janet joked playfully.

While Corban had denied food, Janet was a little hungry. Using her power, she picked an apple up from a basket and brought it over to herself. She quickly did the same with some napkins when she discovered that the apple was juicier then first excepted.

Corban watched her retrieve her apple and napkins with interest. It was amazing how effortlessly and gracefully she moved objects through mid air on a whim. He absent-mindedly daydreamed about what it would be like to be able to do that. A smirk crossed his face.

"Would you like to-" He started, not exactly knowing where he was going with this, "Would you like to go for a walk?" He said, though feeling a bit awkward.

'Yes!" Janet answered not even stopping to think. "Just let me leave a note for my parents then we can go." After a few moments of frantic searching for a sticky-not, Janet grabbed a light jacket and stood by the door ready to go. Now, if only she could wipe that goofy, excited smile off her face.

Corban was surprised when she agreed, but was content. He would have known easily, he thought, if he had read her mind. But, he had already swore to himself that he would not break their trust by invading her privacy. For now, he would do this the old fashion way.

But, what was 'this', anyway? Corban didn't even know.

"Gosh, it sure is sunny outside today." Corban observed. "I thought it was supposed to rain today... Odd." Absent-mindedly, Corban made a path towards the woods by the neighborhood, thinking that the shade looked inviting.

"Well, then I guess I shall never trust the weather man again," she said light heartedly. It was a nice day, and Janet was starting to feel that the light jacket hadn't really been needed. "So," she said, trying to start conversation, "how long have you lived here?"

"Oh, gosh." Corban said. "A long time. My family moved here when I was about four. We had some... Run ins... With the authorities - mostly about me and my powers - and so my family 're-located', I suppose you could call it, to here. We settled down, and the police never really found us out again. But sometimes I do worry if I'm putting my family in danger." He paused, a weary expression on his face. He shook it off, and smiled at Janet. "You?"

"I use to live in Wyoming. We moved here when I was 5. My father got a job transfer to a law firm here. It took some getting use to," Janet answered. "For one, my neighbors are not a few feet away instead of a few miles."

"Oh?" Corban inquired. "You had alot of land? Did you raise any animals?" Though he hadn't mentioned it, Corban was a bit of an animal lover.

"Yes, we had a few horses and chickens," she said a faint smiling appearing at the memories. "I was just learning to ride my fat, white pony when we moved. I actually tried to convince my parents that Snowflake could ride in the moving truck. I had it all planned out. The food, water, but for some reason the said no." The smile turned into a laugh at the new memories then slowly faded. "I was very sad to leave him."

"That's awful." Corban said, truly sorry for her. "I always wanted to learn to ride." Corban said, smiling. "No one around here has enough land to own horses, though."

It was then that he spotted Ash in the forest. "Hey," He said, "That's Ash - Ash!" He called, hoping to gain the boy's attention.

"It's not that difficult, learning to ride. It just takes some time," Janet replied. "Well, at least that's what my father told me."

Janet looked up when Corban called out to one of his friends. She saw some other people that she knew from school. She'd never really talked to them though. "Guess today is the day for making new friends," Janet thought.
