"Ash," He asked, "What's that look about? Is something wrong?"

"I don't know how to explain it, man." Ash looked at the ground, unsure. "It sounds crazy and weird and...something is going to happen to us tonight. Someone we were destined to do." Ash looked away, knowing he was going - if he wasn't already - to sound crazy. "Corban, I've never told you the entire truth about me. I am...different. Very, very different.

(talk about fast posting... off for a few hours and two pages behind... good thing I'm a moderatly fast reader...)
Trish stood when Corban walked up, and shook his hand when it was offered. Then she watched as the two boys walked away as if they had talked telepathically. She bit her lip, unsure of what to do now. She was alright if Ash didn't really want to tell her what the voice had said. They had only just officially met that day, so of course Trish didn't expect for him to pour his heart out to her...

Janet stood watching Corban and Ash talk. She didn't like the look on either of their faces. She wished she knew what was going on. Since she couldn't know right now, she'd do the next best thing. "Hi, I'm Janet," she said sticking out a hand in greeting to Trish.

Trish accepted the hand and shook it.
"Trish," she said, trying to give a friendly smile, but failed. She stuck her hands into her jacket pocket, expecting her cell phone to be there. But it wasn't. It was shattered into a millin pieces in a glade. My dad's going to kill me, she thought.
"So..." Trish idly said, not knowing what to say to Janet while Corban and Ash were talking. By their expressions, she had a feeling Ash was talking about the 'voice' he said he had her during his episode of pain...

"So you good friends with Ash?" Janet asked. Really, it was out of desperation of not knowing what to say. Awkward silence was... well... awkward, and she wanted to break it. That question was the only one she'd come up with.

Janet couldn't help but smile over to where Corban was standing when she answered Trish. "Working towards that," she answered. Janet had friends, just none that she felt understood her. Nor one that she felt she could be so much of herself around.

Janet glanced back over at the two guys. If she could read minds like Corban..... Janet quickly chided herself for having such a thought. If they had wanted her to know, they would have included her in their conversation.

Corban's face became troubled. "Different?" he had a weird feeling about this. "How?" very briefly, Corban's eyes were drawn to Ash's neck, where he thought he caught a glimpse of a moon-shaped pendant. Yes, this weird. "Destiny... Ash... Ash, be honest with me. Do you..." He paused. "Do you have a power? Like kind of a super-power?" Corban asked him. Truely, he didn't know whether he should be asking such a thing, with how much he was risking, but he was going with his gut right now, with a bit of help from his mind-reading powers.
