Semmy took the jerky from Aaron with a silent nod of thanks. She took a seat at a near by tree stump and watched as the rest of her friends raised themselves from sleep. They'd leave after everyone was up and had some breakfast. She thought/hoped she still new the way to their old village. Well hoped probably fit better. After all, she hadn't been there in 20 years/

Analise arose from her fitful sleep. Dark had been her dreams that night-for in them she could hear the screams of her older sister, the cries of her mother and the moaning of her father as she had fled. I wonder how the village looks now, she thought to herself and could have laughed out loud at the idiocy of such thinking. Who am I kidding? Twenty years have passed. What probably remains is nothing more than ruins. she thought bitterly.

How many chances are you willing to take?" Semmy's mind cooed. You know they always suspected that some had remained. Do you genuinely believe that the king is so naive as to not continue to watch and wait? If any evidence of his crimes came to light, he would be shamed. You could be springing a twenty year old trap."

Semmy sat lost in thought. She had known all this. That was part of the reason she'd never said anything. Getting to the village didn't worry her too much. If they would be allowed to leave however did. She would need another pair of eyes that knew her suspicions. "Dregde," Semmy called standing up from the stump she'd been sitting on. She motioned for Dregde to follow her a little ways off from the group where they could not easily be overheard.

"Sure," Dregde answered Aaron, taking the jerky and chewing on it thoughtfully. A moment late he heard Semmy call his name. He stood and walked away from the group were she had motioned him to, "What do you need," he asked in soft, conserned voice.

"I fear that the village might still be watched by the kings men. I need you to help me keep an extra eye out on our journey," She said meeting his eyes with a serious gaze. "I don't want the others to know. No sense on all of us jumping at shadows. That could cause as many problems as it could solve." She broke the gaze and looked out over the small group. In a soft voice she commented, "I hope I'm not springing the king's death trap."

"What do you think they're talking about?" Amlis asked at Aaron and Analise, watching towards Dregde and Semmy. There was something Semmy was still hiding from them, a fear she had.

"Don't worry," Dredge answered in a serious voice, "I will keep a watch out for troble." He had been thinking about the same thing. 20 years of hideing would be a complete waste if they were caught by the king.

"Thank you, Dredge" Semmy replied.

Semmy turned back to the group and walked back to them, putting confidence into each step. She looked over their food supply once more. She'd been hoping that it would have changed from last night. Yet it hadn't, and she was still faced with that fact that yesterdays hunt hadn't gone as planned. They would need to do some hunting today. That would cause some delays.

"Ok," Semmy said addressing the whole group, "our meat supply is growing short. We'll need to leave in about thirty minutes because of a hunting delay. Are you all alight with that?"

"I am not to sure." Analise whispered to Amlis. "but my instincts tell me it has something to do with our returning to our village. We will have to be on guard," She quit speaking as Semmy returned to the group and addressed them. "It's fine with me," she remarked.

Amlis nodded at Analise, then looked at Semmy. "That's fine with me as well" she said.

"Alright," Aaron said in reply to Semmy. He had a morsel of jerky, and put the rest in his pack to keep it for later. They should save all that they had left over, what Aaron's thinking. And also not to take more than you need...

Semmy started rolling up her bedroll and throwing stuff in her pack. she gave a glance over of her hunt equipment making sure it was alright. Then she got up and walked over to where Amlis and Analise where packing. "Hey, have you two need anymore arrows for hunting? I was thinking of splitting into two groups, seeing which could catch more," Semmy told them in hopes that it would distract them from the rather serious and downcast mood that had settled over everyone.

"I could always use a few more arrows, if there are any extra, but if not, what I have is sufficient," Analise remarked as she continued with her packing. She had eaten a light breakfast before she began her packing, but was saving the rest in her pack in case she should need it later. With that she did a quick examination of her sword to make sure it was still sharp before she sheathed it and fastened it to her back along with her bow and quiver of arrows.

"I think I'm alright with arrows too" Amlis said "And it's fine for me to split in two groups". Hunting would have distracted her, and made her feel more quite.

"Good." semmy forced a smile at her two friends. "I'm going to see if the boys are ready." Semmy walked over to where Aaron and Dredge. Had she been in a less serious mood, she might have poked Dredge with an arrow. Now didn't seem like the right time. "Do you guys need any more arrows for hunting?"
