Aelus nodded and lowered his voice to keep their conversation more or less private. "That's good. It will be stiff for a few days, I'm afraid. Try not to put too much strain on it, and it will be better." He glanced at the two new men. "Who are these men?" he asked, whispering. His dark eyes seemed suspicious.

"Oh." Aelus said, sighing. "I don't know if anyone made it." He ducked his head a bit. "I only know who didn't make it." His voice was low, and the saddness had returned, somewhat.

Aelus laid his hand lightly on her arm. "Later." He managed. "I don't think I could talk about it now." He said. He blinked, then changed the subject. "What of the other elementalists?"

"I am not sure," Callisto replied. "And I have not seen any of our companions since the battle..." she added quietly. Darian's gaze flickered from Callisto to Minna.

"I can scan the earth from ontop Thalion if you would like," he offered.

"All who lived here are dead." Galain answered biterly. "Perhaps some of them escaped but I fear that no on even got the chance to do that."

His eyes fell on Fierya and Aelus and noticed that they were being very familiar with eachother but he shrugged off that feeling and continued. "Whatever they were.. they aren't gone. I feel it." he pressed his hand against his chest. "They are still looming.. waiting."

Aelus, with a thoughtful expression, spoke up. "Well, I suspect that they are not the direct culprit." He examined everyone's faces. "They seemed to be dumb animals - more braun than brain. I suspect that they are henchmen for someone else. Someone more powerful." He sighed at his own deduction. "Which presents us with an even bigger problem."

"We can't stay here." Galain nodded at Aelus. "They will be back." he realised what it meant: to leave friends and loved ones who had been killed without a proper burial. It was unforgivable..

He thought about Fierya's question: Why? "They must have been looking for something.. the Elementals are a peaceful folk, not harming human, animal or nature."

Minna smiled,"That works for me, as long as she's found. Do you guys mind if I sleep? I'm exhausted." "Sleep." Riko said,"You'll need it." She went to sleep, resting her eyes and her body as the air healed her.

Darian nodded and signaled for Thalion, who walked up to his master obediently.

"I'll come with you," Callisto said. "I can ride upon Este. It will be faster if two search,"

"No," Darian said adamantly. "You are already wounded. I will not knowingly allow you to put yourself in harms way."

"I'm bruised, Darian-not dying. I can ride."

"Listen, we do not know if more of those creatures are out there. Stay with your friend and her companions-at least there is some safety in numbers." he said as he turned away from her.

"Darian, wait!" she called. The mage turned at her voice, his brown eyes holding her blue ones. In that moment she wanted to ask him why he was here, why he would risk himself for people he hardly knew-but she knew there was not any time. "Be safe," she said instead, finding herself growing fonder of the man who had already helped her more than once though she knew next to nothing about him.

Darian gave her a reassuring smile as he mounted the griffin. "I'll be fine. I'll send you word as soon as I can," he said as he glanced at the group one more time, his gaze falling last upon the light elemental. With that he signaled Thalion and the mighty beast rose into the air.

Callisto watched the pair depart until she could see them no more. With that she turned to sit down next to the sleeping elemental. "Well, I guess we wait here for a bit..." she murmured to herself.

(Minna, I am not sure what you want with your dragon-did you want her to be fighting, hurt, etc. And we are going to have to meet up with everyone else after as well.)

Aelus sighed, seeing deeper into exactly how serious their situation had become.

"Either that," he said in reply to Galain's statement, "Or whoever diceded to wipe out the rest of our people wants us dead too." He pressed his lipps into a fine line. "Which, like you said, Galain, means we have to leave."
"We are last of elementals." He said simply. "And we need toleave here; find a new home. And most importantly, we need to find out who wants us dead, and why."

Darian scanned the earth from on top of Thalion, looking for any sign of Minna’s dragon while wondering all the while how he became so deeply embroiled into a conflict that was not his. Yes, he had followed his instincts investigate, but already he helped a light elemental bury her dead, battled with creatures he knew little about despite his vast travels and was now on the search for a missing dragon. Why? he wondered to himself. Was it because of the haunted look the elemental had given him when she saw the ruins of her home, the annihilation of her kin? Callisto. he thought quietly, his thoughts turning to her for a brief moment. For some reason he had felt strangely drawn to her, no more than that could he explain. Or perhaps it was because a vow he had taken years before, an oath taken to pledge his life to the ending of senseless slaughter that now drew him further into a world he had only heard of through legends.

(Sorry for the lack of posting! Life's been busy... so much going on! And I had sort of fallen pretty far behind. You can only get so far with skimming)

Vincent had watched the exchanges and looked at each of the people that now were there. All of them elementals. He was not, he was a druid. But... he didn't want to see the end of this race.
"I shall help you find out what is going on. Maybe my knowledge and magic may be of some help," he said to the four there.

Sierra had remained silent, not sure what to say. The woman looked very familiar somehow, like she had seen her so long ago. But the water elemental shrugged it off, and came over to the others. She glanced at Galain for a second, then at Vincent as he offered to help.
"I think any help is welcome," she said. "Maybe someone was holding a grudge against us. But... I wouldn't know how, I mean, we're a peacefull race... right?"
