Has anyone seen the trailer for this movie? It's due out in the US in December, and I'm extremely jealous. As of right now the UK release date is unknown. :eyeroll: Anyhoo, here's a quick summary of what it's about and a link to the trailer --

Quote:
Ellen Page stars as Juno (also the film’s title), a whip-smart teen confronting an unplanned pregnancy by her classmate Bleeker (Michael Cera). With the help of her hot best friend Leah (Olivia Thirlby), Juno finds her unborn child a “perfect” set of parents: an affluent suburban couple, Mark and Vanessa (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner), longing to adopt. Luckily, Juno has the total support of her parents (JK Simmons and Allison Janney) as she faces some tough decisions, flirts with adulthood and ultimately figures out where she belongs.

It's out now, isn't it? I can't WAIT to see it! It looks fantastic, and so funny. JK Simmons will be great in it, so will Ellen Page, I reckon. :D

Yeah, yeah! Actually.. I think it came out today if I'm not mistaken... Anyway, I was thinking about bringing this thread up again, but I guess I just haven't had time. Ellen Page has been getting a lot of praise for this role, and I'm so excited to see it! Maybe I'll go this weekend..

Sorry for the double post... but, I saw Juno this morning! So I don't give anything away, I'll just say that Ellen Page was as good as everyone has said, and the humour was definitely up to par. I was a bit surprised by how it ended, but it was a sort of pleasant surprise, and it did stay true to the rest of the story.. so yeah, go see it! :)

Forgot about this thread - I saw Juno a few days ago, an d I absolutely loved it! Ellen Page was as good as I expected - quirky, and the kind of girl you could really believe in. JK Simmons was also excellent - and the plot was excellent. 5 stars!

It does give a good message, despite the negativity people might feel toward teen pregnancy. It still had a clear message I think everyone can relate to.

I really enjoyed it too. Thought it was very cute and Juno is such a unique character. She could have been written as some bland stereotypical Hollywood teenager but she felt so real. Loved it!

I didn't see it in the theatre, even though I kinda wanted to, so when I saw it was available on iTunes for rent, I decided to watch it. It's very sweet and real.

Good movie :)

I saw Juno for the first time the other day. :P My mom finally rented it. XD

I thought it was really cute. The humour was just amazing. :P I didn't think it was a spectacular stroke of genius, but definately a breath of fresh air in the movie business. And I'm gonna have to agree with what people have been saying, that it had a very realistic tone to it. All the characters were so believable. :P And hysterical!! XD

OH, and JK Simmons (as Juno's father) was pretty much amazing. That guy is just too cool. :P

Got this movie on DVD last month and I can't stop watching it. Juno is such a great, refreshing movie.

"Paulie Bleeker is the cheese to my macaroni"

Love that line :D

Yay, I watched "Juno" today, I loved it. It's so adorable, it made me happy. I really liked Juno's style :teehee: That's so odd coming from me :P I have to admit, many of the characters in the movie reminded me of people that I know or knew in High school :teehee:

Anywho, I loved it when Juno goes into Bleeker's house and she says that his mom looks like a hobbit :teehee: I was like "omgz! Hobbit!"....I really loved the soundtrack too!

The soundtrack is way too catchy! My favorite tracks are "Tire Swing", "Tree Hugger", "Anybody Else But You" and "So Nice So Smart" :-D
