I am wanting to start a RP on Nautical LotR life- there would be pirates (Corsairs of Umbar) Gondorian, Elven, and a lot of others on the seas in the 4th age. There would need to be several others interested in this to start.

---BASIC PLOT---
It is the fourth age, 75 years after the War of the Ring. A missive from King Ellessar has called all able-bodied seamen (and women) to report to Osgiliath (now Rebuilt). The mission is the final destruction of the Corsairs of Umbar, who have been plauging the port cities of the Realm of Gondor and Arnor.
The ships that join will encounter these pirates, as well as following clues to lead them on several other missions, if the RP progresses that far.
We still need seamen, crew, other captains, pirates, cabin boys (and girls), you name it, we need it! I will also need someone to play LotR charries Aragorn and Arwen, perhaps a young Eldarion. King Elfwine of Rohan would also be welcome, as we may travel upriver at some point. A Pirate captain, or maybe a lord of a band of pirates, would be good, too!

Ah, but you could use Goldleaf and Boromir, (I assume that is the reason you wouldn't here) with Boro being the Grandson of Eowyn and Faramir (references to him in the Appendices), therefore Merides' cousin!

Physical Description: Arandur is very pale with blue eyes, and silver hair. At nearly seven feet, he is amongst the tallest of his people, and among the most imposing. He has a scar above his eye from a Corsair.
Garb: He wears black, knee-high boots with steel toes, a plain white shirt, a black leather vest, a pair of black trousers, and a brown leather headband to keep his long hair out of his face.
Weapons: A elven cutlass, a hunting dagger, and a boarding axe.
Pesonality: Arandur is a very serious, and cannot deal with jokes towards the mission, nor his peolpe or disposition. He is rarely amused and distrustworthy of strangers.
Homeland: The Grey Havens
History: Born early in the Second Age, Arandur was one of the first of Cirdan's people to be born in Mithlond. At an early age, he and his older brother Durion showed an affinity for sailing. At the age of 150, Arandur travelled out of the Havens, exploring the shore and nearby Sea. For several millenea, he and his brother travelled several times to Numenor, until the reigh on Tar-Calion, or, Ar-Pharazon(sp?). Soon after, he and Durion made it thier mission to patrol the coast, and keep it safe from Sauron's clutches, encountering and battling Corsairs many times, while using Mithlond as a home port. However, when the War of the Last Alliance came to be, the two brothers left the ship to fight alongside Gil-Galad. However, when Durion was killed in the final battle, Arandur abandoned his seafaring fro several centuries. Gradually, he was convinced by his wife that he would honour his brother's memory better by doing what they had both loved. So, riding to Dol Amroth, Arandur signed aboard the Ninglor to help with Gondor's effort to extinguish the Corsairs of Umbar.

BTW, Unless the mods do not allow it, I hope to keep this thread as the OOC (out of character) discussion, and keep the IC thread in the LotR RP section, to prevent confusion. If the Mods say otherwise, so be it, but I hope to do it this way.

If you just mean you, Faramir, then yes... if you are reffering to the Character from LotR... then, I'm 'fraid not... This is 75 years after the War of the Ring, thus Faramir would be dead, or a very old man at this point.

Also, my charrie, Merides, is the granddaughter of Eowyn and Faramir, so that might be awkward...

That'd be fine! Just post the name and type of your ship with your character info. "All able bodied seamen and women" - that means captains as well! There will be a fleet, whether people play other ships or no.
